    Chapter 40: Matters of Adults

    Inside the sleeping quarters.

The earth dragon stove burned brightly, making the room feel like spring.

Song Huaixi rolled around on the bed, reaching out to play with the tassels hanging from the bed curtains.

He hummed a little tune, his delicate eyebrows and eyes filled with smiles.

He seemed to be in a wonderful mood.

After the conversation just now, Song Huaixi realized he had misunderstood.

    His saddened heart instantly revived.

Zhao Fangye still liked him and hadn’t fallen for someone else, which was great news for him.

Entering the room, Zhao Fangye had already washed up and was wearing a moon-white undergarment.

He strolled over to Song Huaixi and sat down on the edge of the bed.

He reached out and touched the top of his soft hair, Zhao Fangye lowered his eyes to look at the smile on his face: “So happy? What is Huaixi thinking about?”

Rolling over on the bed, he dodged Zhao Fangye’s hand. Song Huaixi propped himself up and looked at him with his hands on his cheeks, his eyes carrying a sly look.

    “I won’t tell you.”

The soft sensation in his hand disappeared, Zhao Fangye withdrew his hand and looked at him gently.

    Silly boy.

Suddenly, Song Huaixi’s gaze fell on Zhao Fangye’s white undergarment, and he scurried over from inside the bed, tugging at his clothes.

“Zhao Fangye! You’re wearing new clothes!”

Song Huaixi’s eyes were bright and sparkling, filled with surprise. He had only ever seen Zhao Fangye wear black clothes.

Whether it was casual wear, training clothes, or even the undergarment he wore to sleep, it was all black.

This was the first time he had seen Zhao Fangye wearing clothes other than black.

The moon-white color made him look less cold and added a touch of gentleness.

Zhao Fangye’s long eyebrows reached his temples, his light-colored eyes were narrow and sharp, his eyelashes were lowered and he was smiling gently.

The high bridge of his nose cast a small shadow on his face in the candlelight, and his light-colored lips were slightly raised.

Song Huaixi was mesmerized, and he couldn’t help but climb out of bed, get closer to him, and nestled himself in his arms.

Zhao Fangye didn’t say a word about his actions. He raised his eyebrows slightly and reached out to hug him.

Song Huaixi’s body was soft, unlike Zhao Fangye’s, who was tough from years of martial arts training.

The warmth of his skin was transmitted through the undergarment, bringing a burst of excitement.

Zhao Fangye lowered his head to look at him: “What are you doing?”

Sitting in his arms, Song Huaixi looked up at him. He looked at him intently and said, “Zhao Fangye, you look so good in white.”

He reached out to touch his black hair that fell in front of him, and then touched his chest, Song Huaixi’s eyes were full of amazement.

He looked like a fairy in white.

Zhao Fangye became even more handsome, Song Huaixi stared at his face and only felt his heart pounding.

Seeing him acting like a lovesick fool, the corners of Zhao Fangye’s lips rose even higher.

He grabbed his hand that was moving around on him and kissed it on his lips.

    “You like it?”

    “I like it!”

Song Huaixi nodded vigorously, not at all reserved.

His eyes were fixed on him as if he couldn’t get enough.

Zhao Fangye held him in his arms and couldn’t help but chuckle.

In fact, he had realized long ago that Song Huaixi really liked his face.

On their wedding night, this person had been spacing out while looking at him. Later, he was shy and didn’t dare to look at him, only daring to glance at him out of the corner of his eye.

Later, Song Huaixi liked to cling to him, and a large part of it was probably because he liked his face.

Otherwise, how could Song Huaixi have fallen in love with him so quickly when they had never known each other before.

Zhao Fangye lowered his eyes, his gaze fell on his raised white face. He whispered in his ear: “I wore it especially for you to see.”

    Song Huaixi understood this sentence.

His heart was as sweet as if it had been filled with honey, and he felt favored by Zhao Fangye.

Hugging his waist tightly, Song Huaixi praised him without reservation: “So handsome! You look even better in white than in black!”

Song Huaixi had once tugged on his sleeve and asked him why his clothes were always black.

At that time, Zhao Fangye thought he didn’t like him wearing black.

That’s why he had people make him several white outfits, but he didn’t expect Song Huaixi to be so interested in him wearing white.

His eyes were glued to him. If this continued, Zhao Fangye was afraid that he would not be able to control himself from doing something to him.

His slender hand patted him on the back, Zhao Fangye held him and placed him on the bed, his tone restrained.

“You’ve seen it, now let’s sleep.”

Lying on the bed, Zhao Fangye carefully tucked him in. He extinguished the candles next to the small table, leaving him a lamp.

Song Huaixi was afraid of the dark, and over time Zhao Fangye had also gotten used to falling asleep by candlelight.

He lifted the quilt and lay down, Song Huaixi leaned over, wrapped his arms around his waist, and leaned his head on his chest, repeating his words,

    “Sleep.”

Remembering his conversation with Liang Xiuzhu just now, Zhao Fangye reached out in the darkness and touched his earlobe.

His voice was hoarse: “Huaixi, do you know what sleeping means?”

“Huh?” In the hazy candlelight, Song Huaixi poked his head out and looked at him, his eyes filled with confusion.

    “I know, we’re sleeping now.”

Hearing his answer, Zhao Fangye smiled. He had overestimated him, thinking that he would have understood.

He reached out and covered his pure eyes, Zhao Fangye sighed and said, “It’s nothing, let’s sleep.”

Song Huaixi noticed that his tone was not right, and stubbornly pulled his hand away.

He propped himself up and tilted his head to ask him: “If this isn’t sleeping, then what is sleeping?”

In the darkness, Zhao Fangye’s eyes stared at him tightly. His eyes hid surging emotions.

Like a beast lurking in the dark, finding the right opportunity to tear the clumsy rabbit apart and devour it.

Seeing that he didn’t speak, Song Huaixi got closer, his face was close to Zhao Fangye’s, their breaths intertwined.

“Tell me? I really don’t know.”

Looking at him, he reached out and wrapped his arms around Song Huaixi’s slender waist. Zhao Fangye didn’t answer but asked, “Has Huaixi really reached adulthood?”

Nodding, Song Huaixi didn’t understand why he suddenly said this: “I have, what’s wrong?”

Song Huaixi’s slightly childish face looked at him, his face still carrying a bit of baby fat. He didn’t look like he was of age at all.

Hearing his answer, Zhao Fangye held his waist, and with a sudden flip, he pressed Song Huaixi under him.

Zhao Fangye’s breath was hot: “Since Huaixi is curious, I’ll personally teach you what sleeping is.”

Song Huaixi was a little surprised, his big eyes filled with confusion.

He put his hands on Zhao Fangye’s broad and sturdy chest and didn’t know what he was going to do.

The dim candlelight shone through the bed curtains onto Zhao Fangye’s face, adding a touch of charm to his already handsome eyebrows and eyes.

As Zhao Fangye approached, hot breaths intertwined between the two. Song Huaixi had never seen him show such an expression on his face.

His eyes, filled with forbearance and aggression, looked at him intently, as if he wanted to eat him.

Song Huaixi was a little scared, and his heart beat violently. The ambiguous atmosphere between the beds made him feel strange.

He put his hands against Zhao Fangye’s approaching body.

His eyes were timid, and his voice trembled slightly: “What… what are you going to do?”

Zhao Fangye supported himself on his side with one hand and caressed his lips with the other.

His voice was seductive and soothing: “Doing what adults do, Huaixi has already reached adulthood, hasn’t he?”

Song Huaixi murmured to himself, not anticipating the arrival of danger: “Matters of adults?”

His eyes were confused, and he didn’t know what Zhao Fangye meant.

Seeing him looking so ignorant and ignorant, Zhao Fangye couldn’t restrain himself any longer.

He pinched Song Huaixi’s chin and kissed his slightly open lips.
