ASSHKHME Chapter 26
by VolareChapter 26: Xie Yu’s Home
As Xie Yu’s roommate, Chen Zhuo, a student who hasn’t yet entered society, felt that buying expensive gifts would seem deliberate when visiting a friend’s home. Two beautifully packaged fruit gift boxes were just right.
Looking through the rearview mirror, Xie Yu saw the gift boxes on the back seat. He realized that although this Chen Zhuo had some personality flaws, he was quite courteous.
After nearly two hours of driving on the asphalt road, they arrived at a Chinese-style villa courtyard.
As the gate slowly opened to both sides, the view suddenly broadened.
The overall architectural style leaned towards a Suzhou-style garden, a new Chinese style born from the collision of traditional culture and modern craftsmanship.
It satisfied aesthetic pursuits and ensured the owner’s modern living needs. Every design reflected the designer’s ingenuity and effort.
Chen Zhuo couldn’t help but admire it, sincerely praising, “Your home is beautiful.”
Xie Yu saw that Chen Zhuo’s eyes held not a longing for money, but pure appreciation.
He casually said, “Then when you become a great designer, design my wedding room for me in the future. Remember to give me a discount.”
Chen Zhuo retracted his gaze from the garden scenery, looked at Xie Yu, and smiled, “Sure, at a friendship price, I’ll give you a 1% discount.”
Hearing Chen Zhuo agree to design his wedding room, Xie Yu felt inexplicably unhappy. “You mean we don’t have much of a friendship, huh? You’re so stingy.”
The butler came to greet them. Xie Yu handed him the fruit gift boxes from the back seat.
Cheng Tangyu and Xie Liangjun came along the winding corridor after hearing the noise.
Cheng Tangyu said warmly, “Xiao Zhuo’s here! Why did you bring gifts, child?”
“Auntie, Uncle, hello.”
Chen Zhuo greeted them politely and said obediently, “I came in a hurry and only prepared a small gift. Please don’t mind.”
Cheng Tangyu looked at Chen Zhuo in a daze, feeling that this child seemed much gentler than the first time they met.
“We’re very happy that you could come.”
Xie Liangjun had only met Chen Zhuo’s parents two or three times and couldn’t be considered close, but he was still very touched. “Xiao Zhuo, I really didn’t expect Xie Yu and you to have this kind of connection. That’s good, get along well.”
Chen Zhuo realized where Xie Yu learned his art of speaking.
Before he could politely reply, Xie Yu put his arm around his shoulder and walked towards the main hall. “Alright, alright, stop with the formalities. We’re all hungry. Let’s eat.”
Upon entering the main hall, a modern-style layout came into view.
In the dining room was a long solid wood dining table, already set with all kinds of colorful and fragrant food.
Xie Yu pulled out a dining chair for Chen Zhuo to sit down, and he sat next to Chen Zhuo.
Cheng Tangyu smiled and said, “Xiao Zhuo, don’t be shy. We don’t have that many rules in our family. Just treat it like your own home. Eat whatever you want.”
Chen Zhuo nodded gently. “Okay, thank you, Auntie.”
During the meal, Cheng Tangyu told him many interesting stories about her and Chen Zhuo’s mother when they were in school.
“Your father wasn’t from our school at all. He fell in love with your mother at first sight at a social event and pursued her quite a bit.”
“Engineering men don’t understand romance, they do practical things. Our whole dorm benefited from it.”
A shallow smile appeared in Chen Zhuo’s eyes.
Xie Yu roughly understood why he was willing to come home for dinner. He wanted to touch the traces of his parents again.
Chen Zhuo listened so attentively that he didn’t even notice Xie Yu putting food on his plate. He subconsciously picked it up and put it in his mouth, not even realizing that his plate was constantly being filled.
“When your mother and I were in school, we were really good friends. But later, everyone worked and started families, and we were busy with our lives, so we had less contact…”
Cheng Tangyu traced Chen Zhuo’s face with her eyes, her eyes a little red. “Child, you are the continuation of their lives. Auntie is so happy to see you.”
Glimmers of tears flickered in Chen Zhuo’s eyes. “Auntie, I’m also very happy to see you. I’m very happy to hear about my parents again.”
The two looked at each other across the table, both on the verge of tears.
Xie Liangjun put his arm around his wife’s shoulder and stroked her comfortingly.
Xie Yu ladled a bowl of tender white fish soup for Chen Zhuo, not very good at coaxing people. “Try it, it’s very fresh.”
The meal lasted for more than an hour, and it was already dark outside.
Chen Zhuo wanted to return to school, but Cheng Tangyu stopped him. “It’s too late, it’s not safe to drive. The dorm will be closed when you get back anyway. Since tomorrow is the weekend, just sleep here tonight.”
Chen Zhuo’s gaze swept across the Xie family’s large villa, thinking that there must be many rooms, and he really wouldn’t make it back in time, so he agreed.
He didn’t expect Cheng Tangyu’s next sentence to be: “That’s a good boy. Xiao Yu, take Xiao Zhuo to your room. Take a shower and go to bed early.”
“…………”
Chen Zhuo moved his lips, asking incredulously, “Auntie, Xie Yu and I are in the same room?”
Cheng Tangyu misunderstood his meaning. “Xie Yu’s bed is quite big, there’s enough room to sleep. Luckily you’re a boy, otherwise we’d have to clean up a guest room.”
Xie Yu stood aside, unable to describe what he was feeling, but he didn’t seem to mind sharing a bed with Chen Zhuo again. On the contrary, he felt a little…smug.
Chen Zhuo looked at Xie Yu. Xie Yu shrugged and went upstairs. “Come with me. My room is on the third floor.”
Chen Zhuo didn’t know what else to say, so he followed him upstairs, feeling inexplicable. Hadn’t Xie Yu been avoiding him all this time? Why was he suddenly willing to sleep in the same bed with him?
Although Chen Zhuo didn’t mind taking advantage of Xie Yu again, he felt like there was some conspiracy, and he felt uneasy.
Xie Yu pushed open the door. “Come in.”
Chen Zhuo walked into his bedroom with suspicion. At first glance, it was a young boy’s room.
Marvel movie posters were pasted on the wall, and there was a whole wall of glass display cabinets, filled with various types of airplane models.
Chen Zhuo walked towards the display cabinet, estimating that each of these models was worth a lot of money. “You like this too?”
Xie Yu leaned against the desk, holding a can of beer in his hand, and took a sip. “Yeah, my ideal is to become a fighter pilot, but there’s no way. Our family has a throne to inherit, so I can only go into business. Do you drink? I grabbed two cans.”
Chen Zhuo raised an eyebrow, picked up the other can, and clinked it against Xie Yu’s can. “If you can’t pursue your ideal, don’t you have any complaints?”
Xie Yu smiled. “There are so many people in the world who are struggling to survive, hovering on the edge of subsistence. As a rich second generation from a top-tier family, wouldn’t it be too much to complain? Would you not let others live?”
Chen Zhuo was amused by his theory and took a sip of beer.
“Yeah, that makes sense. Loving parents, harmonious family, rich and handsome. If you complain again, I’ll definitely act on behalf of the heavens and beat you up.”
“Oh, Xiao Zhuo’er, where did you get your confidence? You want to beat me up.”
Xie Yu walked closer to Chen Zhuo, blocking the light from the ceiling lamp, shrouding him in shadow, and looked down at him.
“Rich and handsome? From the perspective of you homosexuals, am I also handsome?”
