    Chapter 23: Is This Right?

The seven-day National Day holiday was like a gust of wind, gone as quickly as it came.

When Chen Zhuo returned to the dorm, everyone was already there. Pushing open the door, the room was filled with the aroma of braised pork trotters.

Zhao Jiashu’s desk had a huge thermos bucket on it. Seeing Chen Zhuo, he greeted him enthusiastically, “Zhuo’er, you’re back! My grandpa made braised pork trotters in oil, they’re still hot, come and try some.”

Chen Zhuo glanced at Li Ang, whose mouth was covered in grease from eating, and waved his hand, declining, “You guys eat, I don’t like pork trotters.”

Li Ang’s mouth was full of meat, and he mumbled, “It’s all collagen, good for the skin!”

The balcony door opened, and Xie Yu walked in against the light, his hair cut shorter, looking as refreshing and handsome as an ice-cold summer soda.

“You’d have to eat ten pigs for it to be useful.”

After teasing Li Ang, he looked at Chen Zhuo, who was wiping the table with a wet wipe, leaned against the bed frame with one shoulder, and asked seemingly casually, “You didn’t come back to the dorm these past few days?”

Chen Zhuo didn’t look at him, just gave an “Mm” sound, “I went home.”

Xie Yu’s tone was strange, “The Xu’s?”

Hearing this, Chen Zhuo threw the used wet wipe into the trash can, looked at Xie Yu with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile, his dark and bright eyes flashing with scrutiny and wariness, “It seems Little Yu is really curious about my private affairs.”

Xie Yu took his silence as confirmation, and said mockingly, “Just asking, you’re really narcissistic.”

Zhao Jiashu and Li Ang exchanged glances. Li Ang quickly took a couple of bites of the pork trotters, hastily pulled out a tissue to wipe his hands, ready to break up a fight at any moment.

But Chen Zhuo, uncharacteristically, didn’t get angry, and didn’t even seem to want to retort. He lowered his eyes and quietly tidied up his desk.

Chen Zhuo thought that the flutter of his heart at that moment was really just the suspension bridge effect produced by the thunder’s shock.

What he craved was only that warmth, enough to dispel his anxiety.

As for whether that person was Xie Yu, it shouldn’t… matter, right?

The subtle and strange atmosphere between the two was drowned in the aroma of braised pork trotters, and neither spoke again.

Freshmen have a lot of classes, almost every day starting at eight in the morning.

Chen Zhuo was a light sleeper, and was awakened by the vibration of the bed.

With a messy bedhead and a face full of irritability, he groped for his phone, squinting at the time. It was only 5:50, a full ten minutes earlier than Xie Yu usually woke up!

All that fluttering heart and subtle atmosphere was gone.

Chen Zhuo propped himself up and glared at Xie Yu, who was shirtless and about to get out of bed, gritting his teeth and whispering, “Can you be quieter!”

Xie Yu shivered, and the moment he met Chen Zhuo’s gaze, he blushed strangely, frowned, and said in an unfriendly tone, “Is this dorm your home? Why does a young master like you live in a dorm!”

Chen Zhuo’s morning grumpiness was fueled by his words, and “whoosh,” it shot up to the sky.

Furious, he lifted the blanket and was about to kick Xie Yu off the bed when he suddenly caught sight of the small piece of cloth Xie Yu was clutching in his hand.

Chen Zhuo stared straight at it, raised an eyebrow, and said wickedly, “Our Little Yu is having a wet dream? So much pent-up energy, unsatisfied, huh?”

Xie Yu hurriedly hid it behind his back, and unintentionally saw a small patch of Chen Zhuo’s hipbone exposed from his loose pajama pants, his pupils suddenly contracted.

His eyes darted around, and he quickly got out of bed, “Shut up! I’ll beat you if you talk nonsense again!”

Chen Zhuo clung to the bed railing, smiling mischievously and teasing him, “Wouldn’t be dreaming about me, would you?”

Xie Yu froze in place, like a rusty machine that had stopped working, stammering, “I didn’t, how could I dream…”

“Haha, egg crepe and millet porridge.”

Chen Zhuo was obviously just trying to disgust and annoy him, and after ordering breakfast, he heartlessly pulled the blanket over his head and went back to sleep, perfectly missing the good show of Xie Yu’s face turning red with shame and indignation.

    “All you know is eat!”

Xie Yu stared at the lump on the bed, annoyed, and messed up Chen Zhuo’s neatly arranged desk, muttering fiercely, “Damn source of infection!”

When Chen Zhuo was woken up by his 7:20 alarm, only he and Zhao Jiashu were left in the dorm. Xie Yu’s absence was understandable, after all, that guy had an astonishing self-discipline.

Chen Zhuo looked around, yawned, and rubbed his eyes, “Where’s Li Zi?”

Zhao Jiashu chewed on his steamed meat dumpling happily, “He got up early to go to the cafeteria to buy breakfast and curry favor with his goddess, the power of love.”

Chen Zhuo laughed, climbed out of bed to wash up, and the smile froze on his face when he saw his messy desk.

No egg crepe and millet porridge, only things askew and a complete mess.

Even the books on the bookshelf had been rearranged, without any rhyme or reason, a total nightmare for someone with OCD.

Chen Zhuo asked with a dark face, “Did Xie Yu do this?”

Zhao Jiashu, who had witnessed everything that morning, said weakly, “Cough, Brother Yu is really naughty, haha.”

Chen Zhuo gave two “Hehe” sounds, and kicked Xie Yu’s stool to the ground again, “He’s just asking for it! Nosy!”

Zhao Jiashu silently offered one of his meat-filled steamed dumplings to Chen Zhuo, “Zhuo’er, calm down, getting too angry is bad for your kidneys.”

Chen Zhuo swept his hair back, sneered, “I’m not going to get angry with an idiot.”

Time was too tight, there wasn’t time to clean up, Chen Zhuo forced himself to ignore the mess on his desk, and went to the balcony to brush his teeth and wash his face.

He used all of his good morals to barely resist the urge to brush the toilet with Xie Yu’s toothbrush.

Chen Zhuo turned on the faucet and splashed a handful of water on his face to cool down.

He thought to himself that the infatuation that night must have been because his heart was covered in lard!

There’s no way he’ll ever like Xie Yu, that childish bastard!

    Absolutely!

    “Achoo—”

Xie Yu, sitting in the last row, sneezed.

There were still fifteen minutes before class, and people were gradually entering the classroom.

Xie Yu stared blankly at the *Business Management* book on his desk, his mind filled with the dream he had that morning.

It was really strange, he usually slept very well, rarely dreamed, and even if he did, he would basically forget everything after waking up.

But this dream was extremely clearly etched in his mind.

It was simply IMAX with Dolby surround sound playing on a loop, he remembered every detail clearly.

    Chen Zhuo’s flushed face.

    Chen Zhuo’s tearful eyelashes.

The faint groans escaping from Chen Zhuo’s slightly parted lips…

Xie Yu silently spread his legs even wider.

He rubbed his face in despair, feeling hopeless but his earlobes turning red again.

Because he had once trespassed into Chen Zhuo’s bathroom with a cocky attitude, everything about Chen Zhuo in his dream was incredibly real.

He didn’t even know that he even remembered Chen Zhuo’s sesame seed-sized red mole on his hipbone!

This was the first time he’d ever dreamt of a guy!

He even got hard again while replaying the dream.

    Was this right?

    Was this appropriate?

Did Chen Zhuo put some kind of hypnotic drug on him?

    Was homosexuality really contagious?

    He was going crazy!

Xie Yu silently took out his phone and searched: 【Is homosexuality contagious】

Before he could even see the answer, a gentle and sweet female voice interrupted his quest for knowledge, “Excuse me, is anyone sitting next to you? Can I sit here?”
