ASSHKHME Chapter 120
by VolareChapter 120: Let’s Go Home
“Ding-a-ling…” The wind chimes at the cafe entrance jingled as a young man, battling the wind and snow, pushed open the door and strode in.
The clerk at the counter, busy processing takeout orders, looked up. Seeing the handsome man in a sharp suit with an extraordinary air about him, she put on a professional smile and asked, “Sir, what can I get for you?”
Xie Yu carried his coat, which he hadn’t had time to put on, in his hand. His hair and shoulders were still dusted with unmelted snowflakes, and the cold air had darkened his eyelashes. He was slightly breathless from running and anxiously scanned the surroundings.
Until his gaze landed on the delicate-looking boy sitting by the window. The ice and snow in his expression melted away, replaced by tenderness. He strode towards Chen Zhuo and said to the clerk with a smile, “One Little Bear Cocoa Roll to go, please. My boyfriend has a sweet tooth.”
Chen Zhuo’s eyes crinkled as he watched the tall man walk towards him, his gaze carefully tracing Xie Yu’s increasingly firm and handsome features, now that the boyishness had faded. “Xie Yu, what a coincidence, running into you here…”
Before he could finish acting out the “chance encounter” scene, Xie Yu pulled him up from his chair and embraced him tightly.
His excitement was impossible to hide: “You said you weren’t coming back until next week! Are you surprising me? I missed you so much, baby.”
Chen Zhuo keenly noticed the clerk’s lingering gaze, thick with gossip, so he quickly patted Xie Yu’s back and whispered, “I missed you too, I missed you too. Let go quickly. This is Jiangbei, right downstairs from your company. Someone might see us.”
Xie Yu reluctantly released him. Taking advantage of the clerk’s turned back, he cupped Chen Zhuo’s face and planted a big kiss on his lips.
Chen Zhuo was filled with joy and didn’t bother to care what others thought. He reached out to brush the snowflakes from Xie Yu’s hair. “Let’s go, let’s go home.”
Xie Yu hummed in agreement, his eyes fixed on him, unwilling to look away for even a second.
Chen Zhuo poked his taut waist under his suit, reminding him softly, “Behave yourself in public, save it for home.”
Xie Yu hummed again. He desperately wanted to hold Chen Zhuo’s hand, but it was rush hour, and they were right outside his company. He needed to restrain himself.
When he went to get the Little Bear Cocoa Roll from the clerk, Xie Yu clearly felt her gaze sneaking towards Chen Zhuo behind him.
He subtly shifted his body, somewhat warningly blocking the clerk’s view, and accepted the beautifully packaged pastry bag.
Noticing the customer’s wariness, the clerk quickly grabbed a heart-shaped lollipop from the candy box at the counter and offered it to him.
“I didn’t mean to intrude. You and your boyfriend look very well-matched. I wish you both a happy marriage forever. It’s the first snow today, so please have a wonderful date.”
Xie Yu’s brow twitched slightly. He took the lollipop, his expression softening considerably. “Thank you for your blessings, we will.”
“Ding-a-ling…” The wind chimes at the cafe entrance rang again.
Xie Yu and Chen Zhuo walked out side by side. He gently bumped Chen Zhuo’s shoulder and said with a smile, “Did you hear that? She said we’re a good match.”
Chen Zhuo straightened Xie Yu’s collar, indulging him. “I heard, I heard.”
Xie Yu extended a long arm and put it around Chen Zhuo’s shoulders. The two walked together into the swirling snow.
“What I mean is, there may be a lot of opposition and disapproval in this world, but at the same time, we can also receive blessings from strangers. So, let them say what they want! We’ll just live our own lives well, that’s more important than anything.”
Snowflakes clung to Chen Zhuo’s eyelashes. He blinked, and the snowflakes quickly melted.
He looked at Xie Yu, his dark eyes swirling with emotion, and nodded. “Okay, we’ll live our lives well.”
By the time they got home, it was already dark.
Xie Yu looked at the exceptionally clean home that Chen Zhuo had prepared. He couldn’t resist pressing him onto the sofa and kissing him.
Panting, he mumbled, “Baby, how are you so capable? How am I supposed to live without you?”
His cashmere sweater was pushed up.
Chen Zhuo squinted slightly at the warm-colored halo of the chandelier, ran his fingers through Xie Yu’s hair, and chuckled softly, “How will you live? By relying on the fully automatic Fiji cup.”
Xie Yu caught the teasing in Chen Zhuo’s words.
His thumb circled on his ( . . ), mischievously saying, “The Fiji cup isn’t as good as you.”
Chen Zhuo’s face flushed red, he cursed “bastard”, and kicked at him, embarrassed.
Xie Yu grabbed his ankle.
Looking down at him from above.
Xie Yu chuckled, “Just kidding, why are you angry? Husband is wrong. But speaking of which, Chen Zhuo…”
Xie Yu lowered his eyes to look at Chen Zhuo’s rising little Zhuo, and raised an eyebrow: “Are you angry or excited?”
Chen Zhuo stepped on Xie Yu’s face, his eyes covered with *chunqing* : “What do you think? What are you waiting for?”
It was like a spark falling into dry wood, igniting a sky-high fire.
Xie Yu’s throat bobbed, his eyes darkened, and he said, “You’re done for, Chen Zhuo.”
The French window was steamed with heat, and the fluttering snow outside became blurred.
Just as Xie Yu was about to go into battle, the mobile phone that fell on the carpet suddenly rang with a harsh ringtone.
Who was this clueless guy? He had no time to answer the phone.
Xie Yu didn’t want to answer, he just wanted to continue.
But Chen Zhuo pushed him, “Who is it? Take a look, maybe it’s urgent.”
Xie Yu frowned, impatiently picked up the phone from the ground, saw the note on the screen, and “tsk”ed: “My dad, he really is my own dad, how does he always pick the wrong time?”
Chen Zhuo pulled over the thin blanket and was already awake: “You answer it, what if there is something at home.”
Xie Yu squeezed Chen Zhuo’s hand apologetically and clicked to answer.
Xie Liangjun’s voice came out, quite happy: “Son, where are you? Come and have a meal with your dad, the address has been sent to your WeChat, why don’t you reply?”
Xie Yu was speechless: “I’m already home, there’s so much snow outside, I’m not going. I’m hanging up if there’s nothing else.”
Xie Liangjun “hey”ed: “I’ll have the driver pick you up. Uncle Tao is here. Wasn’t the Lihuawan project you won? Come over and keep him company, learn a little.”
Xie Yu pinched his brow. Actually, he had heard some rumors in the company.
What’s more, he, as the person involved, naturally knew that his father had always thought he was just messing around, and still hadn’t given up on the idea of him getting married and having children, the so-called “right path.”
Xie Yu held Chen Zhuo’s hand and said seriously: “Dad, Xiao Zhuo just returned to the country for the holidays, and we are in the honeymoon phase of our reunion. Can you drop your little thoughts? I’m not kidding you. I’m telling you very seriously, I’m with Chen Zhuo in this life, the next life, and the life after that! Hanging up!”
