ATPN Chapter 6
by VolareSong Baiyan waved his hand, wanting to say there was no need to rest, and that they should hurry and finish recording so they could end early today, because his little junior brother had just arrived at his place.
But then he saw his phone on the table light up. Seeing who was calling, he apologized to the director, picked up the phone, and walked out.
“What’s wrong?”
The other end was silent for a moment, seeming a little embarrassed, and stammered a bit. Song Baiyan didn’t urge him, just waiting for him to speak.
“Senior… what’s the door code to your place?” Yu Zhanrong was about to cry at his own stupidity.
He could have comfortably ordered takeout at home and waited to eat, but he had to choose to go out and buy it himself under the scorching sun.
He wasn’t really someone who liked going out in the first place, and he didn’t know what was wrong with him today that he insisted on going out himself.
The area outside the apartment complex was part of the student street, very lively. He happily strolled around the area, but when he came back and looked at the tightly closed door, he was dumbfounded.
The number 2201 was plastered on the side, bright and clear, with only a password lock facing him mercilessly. Only then did he remember that he had forgotten to ask for the door code.
His mood instantly plummeted, and even the milk tea in his hand didn’t seem so sweet anymore.
The weather was so hot, and Song Baiyan didn’t know when he would be back. Yu Zhanrong squatted at the door and reflected for a while, then bit the bullet and called Song Baiyan for help.
A low, magnetic chuckle came from the phone, making him seem even more foolish and ignorant. Yu Zhanrong leaned his head against the door, feeling utterly ashamed.
“Sorry, I forgot to tell you the password,” Song Baiyan said gently, also comforting him a few words.
His little junior brother’s voice was dejected, and he could imagine his frustrated and listless expression even over the phone.
After Song Baiyan hung up, he stood there for a few seconds holding his phone before returning to the recording studio.
“Tsk~ What are you smiling about?” Xu Yihang had just come back and saw Song Baiyan enter with a smile on his face, still holding his phone. He couldn’t help but gossip, “The kid you picked up?”
“Yeah. Forgot to tell him the apartment code.”
Xu Yihang had a look of disbelief on his face. He touched his chin and sized up Song Baiyan, “You finally got enlightened?”
He received a blank “Get lost.”
Xu Yihang wasn’t easy to brush off. Song Baiyan was fastidious and picky, and his territorial awareness was ridiculously strong. He wouldn’t just bring a stranger home without a reason, he didn’t believe it.
Xu Yihang probed, “How old is that kid?”
“19.”
“Wow, an adult,” old enough to date.
Xu Yihang’s eyes revealed a hint of excitement. Song Baiyan, who had been single since birth, was about to have some romance.
“Stop gossiping. A junior brother from Affiliated High School who had nowhere to go, so I’m putting him up for a couple of days.”
“So kind. Why don’t you put me up? I also graduated from Affiliated High School.”
Hearing this, Song Baiyan raised his eyelids and glanced at him lightly, “I find you annoying.”
“Damn it! Are you even human?”
“Stop it.” Song Baiyan cut him off, saying anymore would never end, and he’d start acting again. “You checked up on Ning Ye, what’s the situation? What’s the result?”
Speaking of annoying things, Xu Yihang couldn’t be bothered with gossiping anymore, “As you expected, we really have to replace him. I was still hoping it might just be the same name.”
Luckily, Song Baiyan happened to see it and reminded him. If this matter were to explode later, the entire drama might be affected, that would be really over.
“Thanks, Baiyan,” Xu Yihang said earnestly, “Thanks to you this time.”
The sentimental moment lasted less than a second. Before Song Baiyan could shake off the goosebumps, Xu Yihang howled again.
“It’s so hard, I’ve been working so hard on this drama, taking every precaution, but there are still all kinds of problems.”
“They are all stumbling blocks on my road to success. Kick one away and there’s another.”
Song Baiyan: “…”
Xu Yihang crossed his legs and sighed, his tone envious, “I really envy Fang Shao, who can be lovey-dovey with his boyfriend all day, so sweet, simply a winner in life.”
Hearing this, Song Baiyan’s brow twitched, and he asked with his arms crossed, “He changed again? Who is it this time?”
If he remembered correctly, Fang Jingtong had just started dating someone before the summer vacation, and it had only been a little over a month, so he broke up and found another one so quickly?
“Yeah, that’s why he’s a master of love. Tsk tsk~” Xu Yihang was very envious, his words full of sourness.
Then his eyes flashed, he put down his legs and leaned closer to Song Baiyan, “Fang Shao has almost dated a soccer team, what about you? You came out to your family a long time ago, aren’t you going to find a little boyfriend?”
Xu Yihang emphasized the words “little boyfriend,” and seeing that he looked indifferent, he retreated with little interest.
Thinking of something, Xu Yihang looked down at Song Baiyan’s lower body with a lewd gaze, “You’re so pure and desireless, could there be some physiological problem?”
After asking, he didn’t care about Song Baiyan’s reaction, as if he really knew some secret, and patted his chest to assure, “Don’t worry, brother will keep it a secret!”
Song Baiyan glared at him angrily, and kicked his chair away a meter with his foot without mercy, “Get lost! Stay away from me.”
“Why so fierce?” Xu Yihang muttered, and slid back with his feet.
He opened the cast list, pointed his finger at the first name on the cast list, and raised his eyebrows, “Here, this one, the main receiver in this drama, Fang Dashao’s new boyfriend.”
Speaking of Fang Jingtong, Xu Yihang’s head hurt, “He came to me last time, just happened to see someone recording, insisted that it was love at first sight, waited here until the recording was over, and left after getting the person’s contact information.”
“In the blink of an eye, the two were really together, showing off their affection in front of me all day, so annoying.”
“Single dogs have no rights, it’s too hard, luckily you’re here with me.” Xu Yihang looked sad and wanted to hook his arm around Song Baiyan’s shoulder, planning to put on a tragic play of two people who were down on their luck.
Song Baiyan slapped him away, and a small area on the back of his hand immediately turned red. Xu Yihang rubbed it aggrievedly, “Being single is already so hard, and you still hit me?”
Song Baiyan was disgusted by his aggrieved appearance, “What crime did I commit that you’re disgusting me so much?”
Not to mention Song Baiyan, Xu Yihang himself was also disgusted, his original intention was just to disgust Song Baiyan, but he didn’t expect to kill a thousand enemies and lose nine hundred of his own.
This deal can’t be done, it’s not worth it.
After resting for a while, the director started calling people. Song Baiyan walked into the recording studio, and Xu Yihang listened outside.
In the evening, Song Baiyan returned to his apartment under the starry sky, stuffing the things he bought back into the refrigerator one by one.
After the summer vacation, he went home to live, and the refrigerator was empty except for drinks.
“Senior, you’re back.”
A soft “Senior” came from behind. Song Baiyan paused, put the last bag of beef into the refrigerator, closed the door, and turned around.
In his sight was a soft, light golden head. The little junior brother was wearing pajamas, his eyes were blurry and he looked like he was about to fall asleep, looking well-behaved and soft.
Song Baiyan’s fingers curled up involuntarily, and he asked softly, “Did I wake you up?”
Yu Zhanrong shook his head, then half-closed his eyes and yawned, physiological tears welling up in the corners of his eyes, but he insisted that he wasn’t sleepy.
“Go back to sleep.” Song Baiyan walked over, stared at his hazy eyes, and smiled when he saw him trying hard to open them.
This little junior brother was indeed a little too cute. He raised his hand and rubbed his messy golden hair, “Go to sleep.”
Yu Zhanrong had been waiting for Song Baiyan to come back. At first, he waited on the sofa, then he went back to the bedroom and leaned against the headboard to wait, and fell asleep while waiting.
In a daze, he heard movement in the living room, guessed that it should be Song Baiyan who had returned, so he came out to see.
He originally wanted to say a few more words to Song Baiyan, but his head was rubbed like this, and his eyes were about to close. He obediently waved to Song Baiyan, “Senior, good night.”
“Good night.”
After the person entered the spare bedroom and closed the door, Song Baiyan looked at his own hand and couldn’t help but shake his head and smile. This day really broke a lot of his rules.
