    Chapter 37: Is That Polite?

Yu Zhanrong resisted the urge to roll his eyes. After all, he was asking for a favor, so he needed to maintain a good attitude.

“Just adjusting my breathing rate, you don’t understand since you don’t do voice acting. I’m practicing my breath control.” After saying that, he even tried out a few different breath sounds to demonstrate.

Yang You looked suspicious. “You better not be nervous.”

“Nervous? What do I have to be nervous about?” Yu Zhanrong waved his hand and strode forward. “It’s just delivering some medicine and apologizing.”

The closer he got to 411, the slower Yu Zhanrong’s pace became. He suddenly felt like he was about to encounter the complete Song Baiyan.

This might be an opportunity to break down that high wall. He wondered if Song Baiyan had recognized him. He should have looked up at the time.

    411 was here.

Yu Zhanrong raised his hand to knock, but Yang You tapped him and pointed to the lock on the door.

The two of them stared blankly at the cold lock, only thinking about delivering the items as quickly as possible, forgetting that Song Baiyan might not be in the dorm.

It wasn’t just a matter of whether he was there or not; the current situation didn’t even allow for Song Baiyan’s roommate to help pass it on.

Yang You shrugged. “What do you say, go back?”

“Let’s go back, we’ll come later.” Yu Zhanrong shrugged, thought for a moment, and sent Song Baiyan a message asking when he would be back in the dorm.

Song Baiyan replied quickly, without asking anything, only saying he would be back in an hour.

Without seeing the person, the mission wasn’t complete.

The two carried the things downstairs back to their own dorm. An hour later, Yu Zhanrong received a message from Song Baiyan saying he was back, and he dragged Yang You to go upstairs with him again.

Yang You was helpless. “What are you afraid of? Just deliver it and be done with it, it’s only one floor away.”

“Hurry up and let’s go.” Yu Zhanrong dragged him with one hand and rubbed his stomach with the other. His stomach had been rumbling uncomfortably the whole time.

Yang You hated that he could never refuse Yu Zhanrong. Resigned, he followed his lead and got up.

Returning to the front of 411 again, Yang You nudged Yu Zhanrong, wanting him to knock, but didn’t expect to nudge him off balance. He turned his head, just about to say something.

Yu Zhanrong hurriedly stuffed everything in his hands into Yang You’s arms and said anxiously, “Help me give this to him, I can’t do it, my stomach hurts!”

Then, with a pale face, he clutched his stomach and ran.

    ?!

Yang You was stunned for a moment before he realized what had happened. If Yu Zhanrong’s face didn’t look so bad, he would have thought he was running away from the battle.

He raised his eyes and looked at the dorm number. Since he had already come, Yang You didn’t want to be dragged up here by Yu Zhanrong again. Holding the thought of finishing the task quickly, he knocked on the door of 411.

The one who opened the door wasn’t Song Baiyan.

Meeting a pair of clear and bright phoenix eyes, Yang You paused. He recognized this person, the famous young master of Hua University. His exploits were more famous than he was, and Yang You had heard many gossip stories about him.

What a waste of such beautiful eyes.

Yang You lamented in his heart, but was still polite and courteous, “Hello, I’m looking for Senior Brother Song Baiyan, is he here?”

Fang Jingtong leaned lazily against the doorframe, his gaze lingering on Yang You’s face for a few seconds, a hint of interest rising in his eyes. “Don’t you recognize me?”

Yang You shook his head decisively.

Fang Jingtong’s eyebrows twitched slightly, but he didn’t say anything. He lowered his eyes and saw the things Yang You was holding, understanding a little. He lazily raised his eyebrows. “Were you the one who bumped into someone this afternoon?”

Yang You nodded shyly. “Yes, me and my…”

“Then why didn’t you look for me, Senior Brother?” Fang Jingtong interrupted him directly before he could finish.

Interrupting others at will, how rude.

Yang You frowned uncomfortably, his impression of Fang Jingtong dropping two points.

He understood the meaning of the other’s words. The person in front of him was probably the one he bumped into this afternoon. He ran too quickly this afternoon and didn’t pay attention. So it was him.

Yang You sized him up, seeing that he was fine and didn’t seem to be injured. Just as he was about to retort, he thought of his purpose here. The words of rebuttal reached his mouth, but he swallowed them back.

Forget it, no matter what, he was in the wrong; he did bump into someone.

“This… is for both of you. I’m very sorry for bumping into you this afternoon.” Yang You apologized sincerely, then held the bag in front of Fang Jingtong.

Fang Jingtong pushed his hand away, not taking the things, and looked at Yang You in a playful manner. “What’s your name? What’s your major? Do you live in this building too?”

As he spoke, he lowered his head and glanced at his feet. Yang You followed his gaze and saw that he had come out wearing slippers.

It was only one floor away, he didn’t even think about changing his shoes…

“So it seems you do live in this building.” Fang Jingtong guessed almost as much from his expression, and couldn’t help but smile.

The smile was flippant and cynical.

Knowing Fang Jingtong’s nature, Yang You immediately wanted to smash the whole bag of things in his face. The frivolous and improper appearance was really annoying.

    I bumped into someone,

    I’m in the wrong,

Bear with it, you must bear with it.

Yang You took a deep breath, patiently, and tried to maintain a smile as he replied, “Yang You.”

Restraining the urge to hit him, he handed the things to Fang Jingtong again. “I’m really sorry about what happened this afternoon.”

Fang Jingtong still didn’t take it. “What’s your major?”

“Law.” Yang You made one up casually, rolling his eyes in his heart. Who would tell him the truth? Let him guess for himself.

“Junior is not being honest. How can you lie?” Fang Jingtong clicked his tongue. “There’s no law major in this building. It’s not good to deceive Senior Brother.”

Yang You choked. He didn’t expect Fang Jingtong to even know this. He really was a master.

Exposed for lying, Yang You had no choice but to honestly state his major.

Fang Jingtong actually didn’t know what majors were in this building, he just felt that this junior brother seemed to have a deep opinion of him, and probably wouldn’t tell the truth.

He just probed casually, unexpectedly it actually worked.

“Call me Senior Brother to hear?”

Yang You’s expression was so interesting, Fang Jingtong wanted to tease him more. Song Baiyan’s voice came from behind him.

    “Who is it?”

Song Baiyan came out of the bathroom, wiping his hair with a towel. Seeing Fang Jingtong standing at the door chatting with someone, he casually asked.

Hearing the voice, Yang You felt as if he had seen a savior, his eyes shining extraordinarily brightly.

Finally, he could escape. He didn’t want to say another word to Fang Jingtong.

He grabbed the bag, ready to speak to Song Baiyan, but Fang Jingtong didn’t give him the chance. He straightened his body and instantly blocked Yang You’s view.

Fang Jingtong was a towering one meter eighty-seven, not obvious when leaning against the door, but when he stood up straight, he instantly rose, blocking Yang You completely.

    Yang You: “……?”

So, height really is a disadvantage.

Fang Jingtong didn’t miss Yang You’s expression, laughed, and directly snatched the bag from his hand.

    “Thank you, Junior Brother.”

Then, with a bang, he closed the door.

    Is that polite?

Yang You stood stunned outside the door, his eyes widened.

What on earth was that thing?
