MRFD Chapter 32
by VolareChapter 32
This box looked awfully familiar.
And the reason it was in this room wasn’t hard to guess. The thought of Mr. Chen’s mother specifically bringing this thing over made Rong Yi’s ears burn.
So, it would have been better to just throw it away back then. He blamed Chen Ke Yao for stopping him, now there would be endless trouble.
He nudged the condom box to the side and picked up the heavily wrapped large axe. After a closer look, he realized that the stick-like object below and the square flat box above were taped together. Rong Yi struggled for a long time, and his brain, dulled by his physical discomfort, suddenly realized that he could actually find a pair of scissors.
But as he thought this, his hands were still working hard, and finally, he achieved a phase victory. The box wrapped around the stick flew out instantly, hitting the side of Chen Ke Yao’s bookshelf with a “thud.” Immediately afterward, a book fell from the bookshelf.
Rong Yi hurried over, looked down, and was suddenly pleasantly surprised.
The novel that fell on the ground was one he had read in his college days. The series was extremely popular at the time, and the author was a beautiful writer who was just starting out. Mo Yufei had starred in a movie adaptation of a later series and became an overnight sensation because of it. Rong Yi loved this series very much, but unfortunately, because it was so popular, he couldn’t collect all the physical books and had always regretted it. It was rare that Chen Ke Yao actually had this common interest with him.
He picked up the book, carefully checked it to make sure it wasn’t damaged, and was about to put it back on the bookshelf when the door behind him opened.
Chen Ke Yao poked half his body in: “Are you okay?”
Rong Yi shook his head.
Then, the sudden swaying caused a strong sense of dizziness, and he staggered several steps to the side.
“You’re okay, so are you performing a show?”
Rong Yi frowned: “You’re so annoying, get out.”
“Teacher, can we stop flirting for a moment,” the young man followed closely behind Chen Ke Yao, “Give me a time now…”
“No, it’s not like that,” Rong Yi interrupted him, “He’s my landlord, I’m just renting his house, it costs money. Don’t get me wrong.”
The young man turned to look at him, then showed a puzzled expression: “You and your landlord sleep in the same room?”
“Uh…”
The young man looked inside again: “And there’s only one bed in the room?”
Rong Yi didn’t know how to explain for a moment.
Even more embarrassing was that the young man finally focused his gaze on the opened box of strawberry-flavored condoms.
He swallowed a mouthful of saliva, then raised his head and looked at Rong Yi: “…May I ask how much money you spent?”
Rong Yi suddenly remembered that just last night, his landlord had waived his rent for this month.
But just as he was struggling with how to explain this clearly and concisely, the young man was already wailing loudly at Chen Ke Yao.
“Teacher, you’re not so desperate as to be in this situation, are you!” He looked devastated, “You’d rather earn this hard-earned money than write properly?”
Chen Ke Yao grabbed the back of his neck and dragged him out: “Shut up, will you?”
Immediately afterward, the door closed again.
Rong Yi stared blankly for a while, turned around and wanted to put the book he had been holding in his arms back on the bookshelf, and the door opened again.
Chen Ke Yao walked in and handed him a thermometer.
Rong Yi kept the thermometer in his mouth and continued to unpack the express delivery.
It turned out that the stick was a poster tube. After taking out the contents and unfolding it, Rong Yi was immediately pleasantly surprised.
This was the membership gift sent by the Mo Yufei fan club he had recently joined. The poster even had Mo Yufei’s autograph. After opening the other square box, inside was a desk calendar, several refrigerator magnets, and a phone case, all without exception printed with the beautiful photos of his dream lover.
Rong Yi, with the thermometer in his mouth, happily spun around in the room holding the poster, and then the sound of the door opening came from behind again.
“How is it, is there any… what are you doing?”
Rong Yi turned his head, and then, for some reason, suddenly felt guilty, carefully hiding the poster behind him.
The young man was not outside the door, probably had already left.
Chen Ke Yao frowned and walked up to him, looked down at the pile of merchandise around him, and his face immediately sank: “What is all this junk?”
Rong Yi mumbled with the thermometer in his mouth. He had only said half a sentence when Chen Ke Yao reached out and pulled the thermometer out of his mouth.
“Aren’t you afraid of biting it,” Chen Ke Yao frowned and checked the temperature, then breathed a sigh of relief, “Thirty-seven point six degrees, it’s okay.”
After he finished speaking, he casually put the thermometer on the table and walked to the living room: “Have you seen any antipyretic granules? I remember I bought some, but it’s not in the medicine cabinet.”
The things in the medicine cabinet were basically put in by Rong Yi last time. There was nothing there. To prevent this guy from not even being able to find the thermometer next time, Rong Yi quickly picked it up from the table and brought it to him.
“Go to sleep for a while,” Chen Ke Yao put the thermometer in the medicine cabinet and glanced at the poster in his hand, “Is it so precious, you’re holding onto it and won’t let go?”
He just hadn’t found a chance to put it down.
Chen Ke Yao didn’t like Mo Yufei, and it was obviously inappropriate to put these merchandise in his room. But his own room had been taken by Chen Ke Yao’s mother, and although she wasn’t at home now, it wasn’t convenient to go in without permission.
“I’ll tell you first,” Chen Ke Yao pointed to the poster, “This kind of thing is not allowed to appear on the walls of my house.”
Rong Yi snorted lightly. It had his autograph, he wasn’t willing to just stick it up casually.
“And don’t put those things out either,” Chen Ke Yao said.
Rong Yi raised his eyes to look at the ceiling, ignoring him.
“Go to sleep first,” Chen Ke Yao pointed to his room, “I’ll go buy you medicine.”
After taking off his coat and getting into Chen Ke Yao’s quilt, Rong Yi, although a little dizzy, still couldn’t fall asleep.
The current development seemed a bit strange.
Chen Ke Yao was nominally his landlord, but now they were taking turns sleeping under the same quilt, and he didn’t need to pay rent. Not only didn’t he pay rent, he could also get money from Chen Ke Yao to use for their joint food expenses.
Then, he was sick now, and his sugar-daddy landlord was taking the initiative to buy him medicine.
No matter how he thought about it, it was abnormal.
According to Rong Yi’s usual logic, at this time, he could be substituted into the standard idol drama routine.
He would suddenly enter heat uncontrollably due to physical discomfort and the sudden failure of his long-acting suppressant, and the only Alpha around him would inevitably be affected. Then, two people who had once loved each other would finally ignite like dry wood meeting a raging fire under the stimulation of pheromones, with each other in them expressing their fervent love with their bodies.
Afterward, the Omega, realizing that he had been marked, would be confused, at a loss, and uneasy, then argue with the Alpha who had just marked him, and then leave heartbroken.
Later, he would find out that he was pregnant.
After a series of internal dramas, the lonely Omega would finally make the brave decision to give birth to the child and raise him alone.
Just like that, many years later, the Omega would be walking down the street with his young child, and would see a familiar face in the distance…
The room door was suddenly opened, and Chen Ke Yao strode to the bedside: “Get up, take your medicine.”
Rong Yi suddenly came to his senses.
He sat up, took the medicine that Chen Ke Yao had prepared for him, frowned, and drank it all in one gulp. Just as he was about to shrink back into the quilt, Chen Ke Yao handed him a glass of warm water.
“It must taste bad, rinse your mouth.”
Rong Yi looked at him, then took the glass and drank it all in one breath.
“Alright, go to sleep.” Chen Ke Yao walked out with two empty glasses, “Call me if you need anything, I’ll be in the living room.”
Rong Yi didn’t say anything, just nodded.
He lay on his side, watching Chen Ke Yao walk out of the room and carefully close the door.
These things couldn’t happen with this person. It wouldn’t work from the beginning, because he would definitely throw up at him like crazy.
…What a troublesome guy.
Rong Yi sighed in the quilt, then silently moved his position, pulled the pillow that had been left on the stool aside last night into the quilt, and hugged it.
He woke up feeling much better.
He sat up, stretched, and then found a thermos and a glass on the bedside table.
The central idea was probably to drink more hot water.
Rong Yi poured himself a small half glass of water, drank it in small sips, and then got out of bed to go to the bathroom. Returning to the room, he suddenly noticed something strange.
The spot on the table where Mo Yufei’s merchandise had been placed was covered with a large piece of cloth. Chen Ke Yao had seen this cloth before, it was usually used to cover the TV in the living room that had never been turned on since he moved in, to block dust.
Rong Yi frowned and lifted the cloth, and found that the merchandise was still intact in place, untouched.
Chen Ke Yao would choose to cover these merchandise, certainly not out of kindness, but purely to avoid seeing them.
After being shocked by such amazing childishness, Rong Yi couldn’t help but smile and opened the door to walk out.
There was no one in the living room, and the door to his former room was still tightly closed. However, some sounds were faintly coming from the kitchen.
As he approached, he realized that it was the sound of cooking.
“So you can cook,” he said as he walked in, his tone teasing, “Is the food edible?”
“It should be okay,” a soft female voice replied, “Although I’m not very good at it, it’s still edible.”
Rong Yi was immediately embarrassed.
“I’m sorry!” He quickly apologized to Ms. Lan, who was smiling at him with a spatula in her hand, “I thought it was…”
“He went out,” Ms. Lan didn’t seem to mind, “He should be back soon. He just went to the convenience store downstairs, saying he was out of yogurt.”
Rong Yi stood behind her, watching her unfamiliar cooking movements, feeling a little conflicted.
“Why don’t I do it,” he said.
“No need, this is my specialty,” Ms. Lan waved her hand, “Yao Yao said you’re sick, you should rest well.”
In the bright light of the environment, it was still possible to see some of Ms. Lan’s actual age.
But that didn’t stop Rong Yi from still thinking she was very charming.
Petite, but looking full of energy, and with a gentle temperament, plus her features were quite delicate. It was not difficult to imagine how popular an Omega she must have been when she was sixteen or seventeen years old.
Becoming a mother too early at that age was probably not a good experience.
…And especially with a troublesome kid like Chen Ke Yao.
Just as he was thinking this, Chen Ke Yao, who had now grown into a troublesome big kid, came back.
He was carrying a large bag of yogurt in his hand.
