Chapter 10

He steeled himself and answered the phone.

“It’s so late, why isn’t Gege back yet? I’m waiting on an empty stomach for you to come back for dinner.” The person on the other end of the phone seemed to be acting spoiled.

The words that Shen ChiTai had already formed were about to come out, but at the crucial moment, he couldn’t quite say them. “If you’re hungry, eat first. I won’t be back tonight.”

The Alpha on the other end of the phone fell silent.

Shen ChiTai’s heart tightened, beating even more violently.

“Gege isn’t coming back?” Shang Jue’s voice was even, as if confirming with him.

Shen ChiTai made an ‘mm’ sound into the phone.

Shang Jue’s eyes suddenly turned extremely cold, and his tone also deepened. “If Gege isn’t coming back, then where are you going?”

Shen ChiTai noticed that his nasal voice was a bit heavy, but he didn’t think much about it, anxiously wanting to quickly hang up the phone. “I have an appointment with a friend. I have something to do. I’ll be back tomorrow morning. Go to sleep after you eat. If there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up.”

The Alpha clenched the phone in his hand, trying to suppress the anger and possessiveness in his heart. He suppressed the urge to break through the screen and appear in front of the Omega, and continued to calmly exchange pleasantries with him, not revealing anything unusual.

Shen ChiTai gripped his phone, answering every question, but never saying more than necessary.

Ever since that incident happened last time, the atmosphere between him and Shang Jue had always been very delicate. He would still answer the Alpha’s calls, but he would always hang up quickly after only a few sentences, always appearing guilty, even though nothing had happened between them.

Xu Chen was stuck in traffic on the way, so they ordered some dishes at a nearby restaurant. When they finished eating, the Omega seemed a bit absent-minded, which Xu Chen naturally noticed and asked if he was feeling unwell.

Shen ChiTai shook his head and said he was fine, telling him not to worry.

Seeing that he didn’t want to talk about it, Xu Chen didn’t continue to press him.

After dinner, they went straight to the hotel.

As soon as the door closed, the Beta couldn’t wait to hug him and kiss his neck. Shen ChiTai tilted his head slightly, wrapping his arms around the other’s shoulders. They rolled from the door all the way to the bed, where Xu Chen then leaned over and pinned him down, one hand propped up beside the Omega.

Shen ChiTai looked up and met the Beta’s eyes.

He was like a cheater who was secretly having an affair behind her husband’s back, obviously having a boyfriend, but also doing that kind of transgressive thing with his own younger brother. Shen ChiTai felt guilty. Whenever he met Xu Chen’s gaze, the condemnation in his heart became even more intense.

“Senior.” Xu Chen pinched his chin, turned his face straight, and gently kissed the corner of his eye that was slightly turned away. The Omega drooped his eyes in a daze, and the Beta’s hand unbuttoned the buttons on his body one by one from top to bottom, his fingertips inadvertently touching his abdomen, causing the person on the bed to suddenly stiffen.

Xu Chen noticed his reaction, paused for less than half a second in unbuttoning, and reached down to take off his pants. Shen ChiTai was nervous, unconsciously closing his eyes, and the arms hooking the man’s neck tightened even more.

Xu Chen thought he was scared, “Senior, don’t be nervous, I won’t hurt you.”

Shen ChiTai bit his pale lower lip and lowered his head, saying softly, “Achen, mark me.”

“…Senior.” Xu Chen stared incredulously at the person who said those words.

“Don’t you want me?” The Omega took the initiative to hug his neck, hardening his heart and actively sending himself into the other’s arms, even if it was compensation for Xu Chen. “Anyway, you’re graduating soon, so it doesn’t matter sooner or later.”

Xu Chen was so shocked that he almost couldn’t speak for a moment, but he was in a good mood. “Why is Senior so proactive today?”

Shen ChiTai lowered his eyes, only saying, “Don’t you like me like this?”

Xu Chen’s breathing became even faster, his eyes burning. “I like it, I like it so much I could die, it’s like a dream.”

Shen ChiTai felt that his face must be completely red, and he knew it was very hot without touching it. Xu Chen looked at his close, beautiful, and alluring face, his eyes fascinated. The Beta’s hand accidentally touched his navel, and the Omega couldn’t help but let out a bird-like, beautiful sound from his throat.

Xu Chen’s eyes changed slightly, and his hand slowly moved down. Just as he touched his pants, he heard an untimely ringing sound from the side.

Hearing the familiar sound, Shen ChiTai quickly opened his eyes. Xu Chen saw this and slowly stopped his movements. He narrowed his eyes and stared at the Omega’s face to see what his reaction was, his voice a little hoarse.

“Senior, do you want to answer it?”

Shen ChiTai hesitated.

“It might be something important. It won’t hurt to take a look.”

Xu Chen picked up the phone on the bedside table and glanced at the caller ID, which was noted as A-Jue. He handed the phone to Shen ChiTai. The Omega took it and only glanced at it. Finally, he looked up at the man, hesitated for several seconds, and answered the phone.

“A-Jue, it’s me.”

The other end of the phone was silent for several seconds. Shen ChiTai looked at the phone that was still in the middle of the call.

Just as he was about to speak, he heard a faint voice coming from inside, weak, soft, and with a heavy nasal tone.

“Gege, I think I have a fever.” Shang Jue said.

Shen ChiTai was so frightened that he immediately jumped up from the bed. “What! You’re sick? Why didn’t you go to the hospital? Where are you now?”

“I’m at home.”

Xu Chen frowned in dissatisfaction, sat up from behind and hugged Shen ChiTai, deliberately biting hard around the Omega’s glands.

Shen ChiTai gasped and whimpered unexpectedly, his eyes slightly red, and he pleaded in a low voice, “Achen, can you stop first?”

“Senior.” The man was also aggrieved.

The Omega looked at him pleadingly, “Let me finish the phone call first, okay?”

The grievance in the Beta’s eyes was half true and half false. He could only nod and say “mm.”

On the other end of the phone, the Alpha heard the charming moans overflowing from the other end of the phone. The surrounding air seemed to stop flowing instantly, falling into a deathly silence.

“Did you take your temperature?”

“Forty-one degrees. Gege, am I going to burn into a fool like this?”

“Idiot, what nonsense are you talking about.” Shen ChiTai hesitated, then said, “I’ll call Dad. I’ll have him send you to the hospital right away.”

“Dad is working overtime tonight. He went out after dinner. I’m the only one at home.” The Alpha paused, asking him weakly, “Gege, if I burn into a fool, will you still want me?”

The Omega gritted his teeth, and the hardness in his chest loosened slightly. “What nonsense are you talking about? I’ll be right back. You stay there and don’t move.”

Shang Jue responded with an almost inaudible ‘okay’ on the phone.

Shen ChiTai hung up the phone and quickly sat up. Xu Chen’s eyes instantly darkened, and his voice also had a hint of coldness. “Senior is going back?”

“Mm, Dad isn’t home, and he’s sick again. I’m worried about leaving him alone.” Shen ChiTai quickly got out of bed and picked up the clothes that had fallen on the floor to put on.

“What about me?” Xu Chen bit his teeth unwillingly behind him, his eyes full of displeasure.

Shen ChiTai turned back to look at him, stunned for a full two seconds. He walked over and stopped at the bedside, reaching out to stroke the man’s handsome face. “I’m sorry, let’s do it another day. I promise you, I’ll listen to you completely then, okay?”

Xu Chen understood him and knew that he would go back to see his precious younger brother no matter what tonight. It was useless for him to say more, so he took the initiative to offer, “Then I’ll send Senior back.”

It was too late at this point, and he might not be able to get a car if he went out.

Shen ChiTai looked at him with gratitude. “Then thank you.”

Xu Chen didn’t say anything.

As soon as the car stopped at the side of the road, Shen ChiTai hurriedly got out of the car.

Xu Chen shouted behind him, “Senior, can I pick you up tomorrow?”

Shen ChiTai’s foot, which had already stepped out, froze in mid-air, his figure pausing slightly. “Xingqiao isn’t at the store tomorrow, so I might not be able to get away. How about the day after tomorrow?”

Xu Chen frowned slightly, finally giving a wry smile. “Okay, send me a message when you’re free.”

Shen ChiTai also knew that this wasn’t appropriate, but he couldn’t care about that much anymore. The Omega hurriedly responded with an ‘okay’, his back looking anxious, walking very quickly.
