    Chapter 57 (2)

At night, a black ship full of outlaws detected a Chinese ocean vessel. It was anchored on one of the shipping lanes to the west. The bearded first mate relayed this information to Beka.

Beka excitedly went to Qi Lin: “Qi, maybe your younger brother was rescued by someone on that ship!”

Qi Lin rushed out, stumbling slightly: “Send them a boarding signal.”

Soon, the signal was sent. The black ship waited for a response from the ocean vessel.

Time was agonizing. Qi Lin pressed the hand holding his phone against his forehead. Based on the information he had, it was highly likely that it was a Qi family ship, searching for Jiao Bai.

Whether Jiao Bai was on the ship, whether he was dead or alive, a trip would reveal the answer.

But he couldn’t show his face.

Qi Lin went to Li Jue, grabbed him from bed, and unceremoniously fed him a prepared statement.

Li Jue didn’t dare ask any questions, only nodded repeatedly, indicating that he remembered, he really remembered: “After I get on the ship, I’ll say that Qi Total, Jiao Bai, and I were separated at sea and were unintentionally rescued by this ship. I’m very worried about the safety of my companions and want to know if they’ve been rescued. I absolutely won’t let them know that I’m a member of the Qi family.”

Qi Lin sneered: “You never were to begin with.”

    Li Jue was stunned.

“Xiao Jue, your second brother is joking.” Qi Zi Zhi was pushed over in a wheelchair. He moved his hand with the IV drip slightly. Half of his life was gone, and the remaining half was hanging by a thread, ready to go at any moment. “Come here.”

Li Jue rushed over, hugged Qi Zi Zhi’s neck, and sobbed softly, saying in a low voice: “Big brother, second brother doesn’t like me. What can I do to make him not dislike me so much?”

Qi Zi Zhi didn’t answer, only said: “If you can get on that ship later, just do as he says.”

    Li Jue obediently responded: “Okay… I know…”

On the ocean vessel, when Jiao Bai heard Zhang Zhen say that a ship was sending signals to them, he knew that Qi Zi Zhi and Li Jue were on that ship. Definitely. It was Li Jue who was coming aboard, sent by Qi Zi Zhi, who couldn’t conveniently show himself, or Qi Lin, who had already joined them, to scout him out and try to capture him.

Having suffered so much hardship at sea, with an extra hole in his stomach, wasn’t breaking 50 justified? Besides, who the hell had the energy to deal with Qi Zi Zhi again.

“Agree to let one of them come aboard.”

Jiao Bai ate a mouthful of noodles with Zhang Zhen’s help: “Let’s assume, just assume they’re here to inquire about me,”

His voice was muffled, and the corners of his mouth turned up in a malicious smile: “Tell them I’m dead.”
