Chapter 31: The Bawa Roma Cult

“Our leader, the number of lay followers has exceeded 5,000.”

“Finally, we’ve made a comeback to this extent, eh? How many have become ordained?”

    “Fifty-six.”

“Progress is good. How are the newest initiates behaving?”

“They are quite diligent,” his aide replied with a smile.

“I see. I’ll observe them myself after a while.”

Leader Waomou was 43 years old this year. He possessed a physique exceeding 180 cm, a rare sight in this world, and coupled with his strange charisma, he exerted immense pressure on those around him. In his youth, he was a devout church monk, but he clashed with his superiors and left. During his travels through various countries, he became aware of the effects of techniques to enhance the spirit and began to think of himself as an apostle of the Bawa Roma God.

At this time, the church had become rigid, emphasizing formalities and plagued by stagnant personnel and corruption. It focused solely on acquiring privileges and showed no consideration for the salvation of the common people. His criticisms of the church were by no means anachronistic and could even be said to be a response to the demands of the times. If he had declared and executed the dismantling of the existing church, he might have gone down in history as a religious reformer. However, he was a man who loved both sex and money.

Many of his followers, whether male or female, became objects of his sexual desire. As a result, his control became extremely strong, but access to him was limited. Therefore, his teachings were only spread within a narrow circle, and the Bawa Roma cult remained little more than an occult group.

Samuel, while inheriting the blood of his grandfather, Mill Robertson, was utterly hopeless at swordsmanship. He preferred reading books quietly. He spent his childhood in Toriholi Village and, after going to the capital at the age of 15, immediately entered the Royal Academy. This was a school brimming with privilege, only accessible to nobles and wealthy merchants. As a country boy, Samuel was an oddity among the aristocratic children of the capital, spending most of his time in contemplation and reading rather than chatting with his classmates. He seriously engaged in academic study and was talented enough to be admitted into the challenging philosophy department.

However, the more he studied diligently at school, the more troubled he became.

“What is a human being?” He became deeply immersed in a unique dilemma that sometimes afflicts serious young people.

Even when he asked his teachers, he received only a Zen-like response: “The pursuit of that is scholarship. The very act of worrying is important.”

He wanted someone to teach him the answer rather than searching for it himself.

It was no coincidence that he became interested in the Bawa Roma cult. Desperate to be taught by someone, he met Waomou and sought his teachings.

“The reason you have worries is simply because you have a weak heart.”

It was the first time he had been told that he worried because he had a weak heart.

“Can a weak heart be overcome?”

“It can be done through training.”

Something that even his teachers couldn’t tell him was presented specifically. The impact on Samuel was immense.

When he thought his father would confine him to the mansion and take him back to the countryside, Samuel’s mind was made up.

He climbed out of the second-floor window of the mansion and went straight to the Bawa Roma cult.

He devoted himself to the training the leader prescribed to overcome his weak heart. The Bawa Roma cult’s spiritual training was similar to what is now known as yoga or Zen meditation. However, due to the leader’s own lack of morality, it was questionable whether it led to deepening one’s humanity. In any case, by training, the worries that Samuel had harbored disappeared.

When he concentrated on raising his spiritual energy, he became able to do things he never thought possible. He could use telekinesis. He could move small objects. He could even emit energy from his fingertips.

It was more like moving objects by blowing on them with a strong breath than real telekinesis. It could be called simulated telekinesis, but the person doing it was satisfied with it as a result of his training.

(I need to train more and become ordained.) Becoming ordained in this cult was a state attainable by those who had abandoned material desires and enhanced their spirit, and their number was small even among the many followers.

Although he was poor at martial arts, he had inherited the Robertson family’s patient personality and a healthy constitution resistant to illness.

That allowed him to endure the harsh training. By emitting energy from his fingertips, he even developed a technique to see that energy in the darkness. This technique was said to be achievable only by a select few.

It was extraordinary that someone who had only been a follower for three months could do it. He came to receive instruction directly from the leader.

Waomou looked directly at Samuel for the first time and involuntarily swallowed. Through training, Samuel’s boyish sweetness had disappeared, replaced by a ruggedness, sharp eyes, and even greater beauty.

“Your training seems to be going well, but is there anything you are having trouble with?” the leader asked in the instruction room.

“Yes, I can feel the increase in my spiritual energy. However, I am having trouble with being distracted when women are nearby.”

“You have no experience with women?”

    “No,” he nodded, blushing.

“Then you need to know more about sex.”

The leader led him to a private room in the back and had him sit on a couch.

Samuel’s heart fluttered just being near the respected leader. When the leader’s large body leaned over him, he naturally closed his eyes.

“Ah…” He lost consciousness simply from being kissed.

When he came to, he had already been stripped of his clothes.

Chime. The leader rang a bell, and a female aide appeared.

“Samuel does not know women. You will teach him.”

“Yes, I understand,” the woman immediately began to undress. Samuel froze, overwhelmed by the presence of the naked woman beside him.

“Oh, you’re really cute,” she said as she caressed Samuel’s body.

“Ufu…” He moaned, unable to make a sound after being kissed by the leader.

Then, he ejaculated the moment the woman touched his private parts.

After that, Samuel received sexual education from the leader and his female aide.

It didn’t take long for him to become intimate with many of the cult’s executives.

The executives were connected through sex, which was also proof that he had been ordained.
