SCWP Chapter 9
by VolareFragrant
Qi Feiyu, who had been lying quietly, suddenly moved and said in a muffled voice, “Uncle Lin, I want to go home and sleep tonight.”
“Did you cry?” Lin Qichi rubbed Qi Feiyu’s ear, which had been pressed down. It was so easy to make people’s hearts melt.
Qi Feiyu didn’t answer, just stayed lying on Lin Qichi’s lap and said in a muffled voice, “I’ll go back by myself.”
“Are you angry?” Lin Qichi also felt quite wronged. He hadn’t done anything, not even said a loud word, “Are you really going to kick me out of the house?”
The neon lights outside the car window shone in through the surging crowd, like an ambiguous and continuous connection between the two, vaguely and yet definitely existing.
“I just feel so painful right now,” Qi Feiyu curled up, “I’m so cold.”
The driver in the front silently turned up the temperature in the car, and Qi Feiyu felt his heart grow even colder.
Lin Qichi watched Qi Feiyu wriggling around on him, frantically adjusting his position to prevent him from falling.
“Little Yu, you’ll fall if you keep moving.”
Qi Feiyu immediately became quiet when he heard that, and the car was frighteningly silent for a moment.
Extremism or despair?
Qi Feiyu felt like he was going crazy. To hell with it, let it be.
The driver who was driving wanted to cry when he heard that. After driving for so long, Young Master Qi’s meaning was always so obvious. Kids these days just want their parents’ attention, but Young Master Qi has Lin Zong, so the task is difficult.
“Really not sleeping together?” Lin Qichi poked Qi Feiyu in the car. The moonlight was just right, and some words, once spoken, could not be taken back.
Qi Feiyu dodged Lin Qichi’s hand, sat up straight, and nodded.
Lin Qichi was gratified, “You’ve grown up.”
Qi Feiyu was despairing, “This life is impossible to live.”
Lin Qichi: “Why is it impossible to live? Isn’t it going well? Did I make you angry by talking to her?”
Qi Feiyu hadn’t even reacted to who “she” was when Lin Qichi started poking the flesh on his cheeks again.
“Little Yu, don’t be angry, okay? It’s Uncle Lin’s fault this time.”
Qi Feiyu slapped away Lin Qichi’s hand and asked with a straight face, “Don’t just say it’s your fault. Do you know what you did wrong?”
Qi Feiyu had been very well taken care of by Lin Qichi’s daily feeding, and he was already good-looking, so his originally tough facial lines had softened into a ball, at least that’s how it was in Lin Qichi’s eyes.
“Making my baby unhappy is wrong, and not coaxing my baby in time is adding insult to injury.” Lin Qichi deeply reflected on himself.
“Hmph.” Qi Feiyu had really been spoiled by him. No matter how strong he was in front of other people, he couldn’t help but put away all his pretenses in front of Lin Qichi.
If he kept talking, he really wouldn’t be able to coax him back. Lin Qichi stopped while he was ahead and changed the subject in time, “Are you really afraid that she will come looking for me?”
Qi Feiyu was now very clear about what he was thinking, turned his head to look out the window, and ignored him.
What Lin Qichi saw was an angry kitten, so cute.
Qi Feiyu wouldn’t change his mind once he had made it, and Lin Qichi still hadn’t coaxed him well by the time they returned to Lin Qichi’s villa.
Sure enough, Qi Feiyu went to sleep alone, but in Lin Qichi’s room, and took it for granted that he locked the owner out.
Lin Qichi looked helplessly at the tightly locked door, always feeling that things weren’t that simple. Fortunately, he didn’t plan to continue using that room anyway, and it had been used as an office for a long time.
Lin Qichi finally entered the room next to the originally selected master bedroom, opened the computer, and looked at the surveillance footage inside, watching Qi Feiyu rummage around the room for a long time without sleeping. Sure enough, he was still angry.
Qi Feiyu was completely unaware of Lin Qichi’s insane act of not sleeping in the middle of the night and simply peeping at him, otherwise he wouldn’t have felt that this life was impossible to live.
Searching Lin Qichi’s room in the middle of the night was just to verify his long-held guess. Was the current him really the real him? Or rather, the him he originally knew?
Qi Feiyu’s understanding of Lin Qichi had always been through his mother and occasional meetings.
Qi Feiyu felt that he was very strange when Lin Qichi suddenly came to pick him up that time. It was like he had suddenly changed into a different person. Qi Feiyu spent more time with Lin Qichi than he did at home, and he considered himself to know him somewhat, but from then on, he couldn’t understand him at all.
Although he had heard that people like them would have doubles or something, wouldn’t being a double for so long make people discover it?
Qi Feiyu rummaged through every corner of Lin Qichi’s room that night, not letting go of even a speck of dust. The more he searched, the more shocking it was. By the time he had searched almost all the big and small places, Lin Qichi had already started to doze off while watching the surveillance.
Lin Qichi was already drowsy when Qi Feiyu came in. He subconsciously turned off the surveillance footage first when he heard the sound.
“What’s wrong?”
Qi Feiyu had originally planned to sneak in when Lin Qichi was almost asleep. He didn’t plan to sleep alone anyway. Lin Qichi spoiled him anyway, so it wouldn’t matter even if he was discovered when he woke up in the morning.
However, he never expected that Lin Qichi wasn’t asleep yet, and the computer screen was still lit, looking like he was still working.
Qi Feiyu remembered that he was still angry and said coldly, “Am I disturbing you?”
Lin Qichi noticed the estrangement in Qi Feiyu’s voice and took the initiative to stretch out his arms towards Qi Feiyu, waiting for a hug, and said, “I’m waiting for you. Come over and sleep.” He didn’t say a word about peeping at him in the middle of the night just now.
Qi Feiyu silently turned around, went out, and closed the door.
Lin Qichi was just about to reopen the surveillance footage when Qi Feiyu came back with his pillow and quilt.
Lin Qichi moved his muscles and took a shower while Qi Feiyu went to make the bed.
When he came out again, Qi Feiyu was already lying obediently on the bed, but in Lin Qichi’s quilt.
“Does my baby want to sleep with me tonight? Or are you here specifically to warm my bed?” Lin Qichi had just finished washing and was still carrying moisture. When he got closer, he carried a faint scent of gardenias, which Qi Feiyu had chosen for him, saying that it suited him very well. From head to toe, he was indescribably charming.
Qi Feiyu patted the spot next to him, meaning that Lin Qichi should sleep next to him. He had originally wanted him to sleep together, but seeing that he had directly taken a cold shower, he was inexplicably angry. He clearly said every time that he was too cold, and he agreed well before, but he still often did it again.
Lin Qichi looked troubled and obedient at the same time, and honestly lay down beside him. Anyway, Qi Feiyu would climb over by himself when he was drowsy in the middle of the night.
Qi Feiyu also thought of this, thinking that there were no classes or important things to do tomorrow, and the certificates he should take hadn’t reached the final preview stage yet, so he decided to simply not sleep all night and put on a full act.
Lin Qichi quietly waited for Qi Feiyu to move over so he could lift the covers and let him in, lest he cling to him again, so he didn’t sleep all night either.
When he first realized something was wrong, it was almost time for Qi Feiyu’s daily routine of changing the quilt and sleeping. Qi Feiyu was still breathing normally and didn’t look asleep at all.
Qi Feiyu himself didn’t know that every time he woke up in Lin Qichi’s arms, it wasn’t him who ran in there himself, but Lin Qichi also contributed to it. Moreover, Lin Qichi woke up late every day because he waited to change the quilt for him in the middle of the night.
Lin Qichi guessed that Qi Feiyu was pretending to be asleep and wasn’t afraid of whether he was really asleep or pretending. Anyway, if he didn’t sleep, no one would be able to sleep. So he directly lifted a corner of Qi Feiyu’s quilt and dragged him over.
Qi Feiyu was so frightened that his body stiffened, and he closed his eyes tightly, not daring to move at all.
Lin Qichi dragged him over, hugged him in his arms, felt the warmth in his arms, tucked both of them in tightly, and finally contentedly decided to sleep.
Qi Feiyu cautiously opened one eye in fright and discovered that Lin Qichi had already fallen asleep before huddling closer to Lin Qichi in his arms with a wronged expression.
Who exactly has skin hunger here? He actually forcibly dragged himself into his arms while he was asleep. He pretended to be a big bad wolf when he woke up, reasonably suspecting that he was a thief in the middle of the night every time he woke up late.
To a certain extent, Qi Feiyu guessed the truth.
The sun rose as usual, and the two people who knew each other tacitly didn’t mention what happened last night. Everything was running on its original track, as if nothing had changed, but both of them coincidentally became busy.
Lin Qichi began to investigate the Qi family’s affairs. Before Ye Chenxi and En Sihan could react, he found Qi Tiansheng, the current head of the Qi family and Qi Feiyu’s father, and had him sign a contract stating that all of the Qi family’s assets would belong to Qi Feiyu when he turned twenty-five.
And he, Lin Qichi, would become Qi Feiyu’s permanent guarantor, ensuring a smooth career path for the Qi family in the future.
Qi Tiansheng, a son who triumphs over heaven?
Apart from that illegitimate daughter of his, he did have a good son. Lin Qichi objectively evaluated.
Qi Feiyu wanted to clean up Ye Chenxi and En Sihan before Lin Qichi completely noticed, and Lin Qichi also began to handle the affairs of Ye Chenxi and En Sihan, and get to know what the male and female protagonists meant.
When Lin Qichi followed the plot to find the three of them, it was in the most clichéd environment.
In the Qi family, Ye Chenxi brought En Sihan to discuss En Sihan’s identity with Qi Tiansheng. Qi Feiyu stood coldly to the side, watching a farce as if it had nothing to do with him.
“Uncle Qi, Sihan has been living alone all these years…”
En Sihan lowered her head obediently, looking somewhat well-behaved. Matched with Ye Chenxi’s words, it felt like she was somewhat miserably pitiful.
The more Ye Chenxi said, the darker Qi Tiansheng’s face became. Although he also sympathized with this girl, when it fell on him, the meaning was completely different.
Lin Qichi silently watched them at the door. Because Lin Qichi had just been here not long ago, Qi Tiansheng explained that he was an important guest. No one stopped him along the way, and he didn’t attract much attention from the people on the scene either.
