TLSOTMTKOGAYWHTDI Chapter 102
by VolareChapter 101: I Don’t Play with Idiots!
“You seem to be in a bad mood,” Liu Jinchen said suddenly, staring at his profile.
Yu Fengran didn’t answer, just took another sip of his drink.
The noisy music of the bar and the laughter of the people around them were like looking through frosted glass, blurred and distant.
His thoughts drifted back to last night, to Lin Jianhe standing in front of the sofa against the light, his expression unclear.
“Relationship issues?” Liu Jinchen asked tentatively.
Yu Fengran finally turned his head to look at him, his eyes sharp: “Are you bored?”
Unexpectedly, Liu Jinchen burst out laughing: “Yeah, especially bored. Come on, I’ll drink with you.”
For the rest of the time, Liu Jinchen acted like a professional drinking buddy, neither probing nor persuading, just accompanying Yu Fengran in one drink after another.
Yu Fengran found that he actually didn’t dislike this seemingly rough man, and even couldn’t help but laugh when he told those absurd stories about the Green Dragon Gang.
“And then that kid got stuck in the ventilation duct,”
Liu Jinchen gestured, “Crying for his parents, and in the end, the fire department had to come and get him out.”
Yu Fengran laughed so hard that his shoulders were shaking. The alcohol made his thinking dull, but his emotions were particularly sensitive.
As he laughed, he suddenly felt his eyes burning.
“Hey, are you okay?”
Liu Jinchen leaned closer, his eyebrows furrowed.
Laughing and crying at the same time, how scary!
Yu Fengran shook his head, then nodded, and finally simply collapsed on the bar, burying his face in his arms.
He didn’t know what was wrong with him. He clearly wanted to drown his sorrows in alcohol, but why did he feel even worse?
“Hey, don’t sleep here,” Liu Jinchen nudged his shoulder, but there was no response.
Sighing, Liu Jinchen took out his phone and sent a message to Zhuo Huaimo:
“The guy’s passed out drunk. Where does he live? I’ll take him home.”
While waiting for a reply, Liu Jinchen couldn’t help but take a few more glances at Yu Fengran.
The usually impeccably professional Director Yu was now limp on the bar, his collar slightly open, revealing a section of fair collarbone.
Liu Jinchen, acting on a whim, leaned closer and sniffed, and was surprised to find that the other man didn’t smell of alcohol, but rather a faint woody fragrance.
“Quite particular,” he muttered softly.
Zhuo Huaimo quickly sent the address, and Liu Jinchen propped Yu Fengran up and walked outside.
Yu Fengran was lighter than he had imagined, but drunk people were especially heavy. Liu Jinchen had to half-hug, half-carry him out of the bar.
“Ugh… Jianhe…” Yu Fengran murmured unconsciously, his warm breath brushing against Liu Jinchen’s neck.
Liu Jinchen’s body stiffened, and then he laughed self-deprecatingly.
What was he thinking? The other guy had a boyfriend, and a handsome, elite one at that. They weren’t from the same world as a rough guy like him.
A gust of night wind blew, and Yu Fengran suddenly struggled: “Let… let go of me…”
“Don’t make trouble, I’m taking you home,” Liu Jinchen tightened his arms.
“Don’t want you… want Jianhe…” Yu Fengran pushed him drunkenly, his fingers accidentally brushing against Liu Jinchen’s Adam’s apple.
Liu Jinchen gasped, almost letting go.
Did this little devil know what he was doing?
It wasn’t easy, but he managed to stuff the man into a taxi. Yu Fengran started acting up again, saying he was hot and wanted to take off his clothes, and then leaning against Liu Jinchen.
Liu Jinchen was in a flurry of activity, and sweat broke out on his forehead.
“You elite types are too scary when you’re drunk. Don’t ask me to do this again, I’m afraid I won’t be able to help but knock him out and carry him back!” he messaged Zhuo Huaimo, complaining.
Zhuo Huaimo replied quickly: “He’s not usually like this, something must have happened. Please bear with it.”
Liu Jinchen snorted, but when he turned his head, he found that Yu Fengran had calmed down and was looking at him with a pair of wet eyes.
That look was so pure, so innocent, that Liu Jinchen’s heart suddenly skipped a beat.
“What are you looking at?” he said gruffly, but couldn’t help but reach out and smooth Yu Fengran’s messy hair.
Yu Fengran suddenly smiled, and poked Liu Jinchen’s face: “You… fierce… but… good-looking…”
Liu Jinchen’s face flushed red, fortunately the light in the car was dim and it couldn’t be seen.
He grabbed Yu Fengran’s restless hand: “Behave yourself, we’ll be there soon.”
When the car stopped in front of Yu Fengran’s villa, Liu Jinchen almost fled out of the car.
He took a few deep breaths to calm his heartbeat, and then turned around to help Yu Fengran out.
Just then, a black Mercedes slowly stopped next to the taxi.
The door opened, and Lin Jianhe stepped out with long legs, impeccably dressed in a suit, his expression stern.
Liu Jinchen immediately tensed up, instinctively feeling danger.
Lin Jianhe’s gaze swept between him and Yu Fengran, and finally settled on Yu Fengran’s hand resting on Liu Jinchen’s shoulder.
“Thank you for bringing my boyfriend back.”
Lin Jianhe’s voice was terrifyingly calm, but a polite smile hung on the corner of his lips.
He took a step forward and took Yu Fengran from Liu Jinchen’s hands without giving him a chance to refuse.
Yu Fengran smelled a familiar scent and burrowed into Lin Jianhe’s arms in a daze: “Jianhe…”
“I’m here.”
Lin Jianhe responded gently, but his eyes were coldly looking at Liu Jinchen, “Thank you for your trouble.”
Liu Jinchen opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but in the end, he just nodded: “He drank a lot, remember to give him some honey water.”
Lin Jianhe nodded slightly, turned around and helped Yu Fengran towards the apartment.
Liu Jinchen stood there, watching the two figures disappear behind the elevator doors, and a strange emotion welled up in his heart.
He looked down at his flowery arms and his cheap clothes, and then thought of Lin Jianhe’s expensive suit and elite aura, and laughed self-deprecatingly.
“What are you thinking,”
He kicked a stone on the side of the road, “They’re the ones who are a couple.”
But as he turned to leave, the image of Yu Fengran drunkenly saying he was good-looking kept replaying in his mind.
Liu Jinchen shook his head, shook the absurd thought out of his mind, and strode into the night.
“Forget it, that kid doesn’t seem to have a very good brain, I don’t want to play with idiots!”
Lin Jianhe threw Yu Fengran onto the sofa, the movement was not gentle.
Yu Fengran was very drunk, and was tossed like this, his stomach churning. He barely propped himself up, his eyes dizzy, he could only see Lin Jianhe looking down at him, his eyes as cold as ice.
“Drinking like this, and letting a gangster send you back?” Lin Jianhe sneered, “Director Yu, when did you become so indiscriminate?”
Yu Fengran’s head was buzzing, the alcohol made his reaction slow, but the thorns in Lin Jianhe’s words still pricked him painfully. He raised his head, trying to focus his gaze: “Is it… your business?”
Lin Jianhe’s eyes darkened, and he bent down to pinch his chin: “If I don’t care about you, who will?”
Yu Fengran was pinched painfully by him, and the alcohol made him lose his temper: “You care about me? You even answer the phone behind my back, what do you care about?”
Lin Jianhe’s fingers stiffened, then he let go, straightened up, and looked down at him: “Yu Fengran, you better not go crazy tonight.”
“I’m going crazy?” Yu Fengran staggered up, the alcohol made him unsteady, but he still stubbornly stared at Lin Jianhe, “You’re the one who’s crazy, right? You’re always so mysterious, you don’t even dare to answer a phone in front of me, do you think I’m stupid?”
Lin Jianhe’s eyes were gloomy, but his voice was surprisingly calm: “I told you, it’s work.”
“Bullshit!” Yu Fengran grabbed a glass from the coffee table and smashed it on the ground, shards of glass flying everywhere, “Do you think I’m deaf? You called that person ‘brother’! Where did you get a brother? Aren’t you an only child?”
Lin Jianhe’s face changed drastically, his eyes instantly becoming terrifyingly cold: “You eavesdropped on my phone call?”
Yu Fengran was even more angered by his reaction: “What, feeling guilty?”
Lin Jianhe took a deep breath, as if trying to suppress his anger: “Yu Fengran, you’re drunk, I don’t want to argue with you.”
“You don’t want to argue?” Yu Fengran sneered, “Then explain!”
Lin Jianhe stared at him for a few seconds, and suddenly smiled, his smile carrying a hint of sarcasm: “Explain what? Explain why I have secrets? Yu Fengran, are you taking yourself too seriously?”
These words stabbed into Yu Fengran’s heart like a knife, he froze in place, the heat brought by the alcohol instantly cooled down.
Lin Jianhe looked at him, his eyes indifferent: “We agreed when we were together, to leave each other some space. Are you forcing me now?”
Yu Fengran opened his mouth, but didn’t know what to say.
Lin Jianhe turned around, picked up his coat, and walked towards the door without looking back: “Calm down, I won’t be back tonight.”
The door was slammed shut, and the sound made Yu Fengran’s eardrums hurt.
He stood there, the dual impact of alcohol and emotions making his eyes go black, and finally fell back onto the sofa, burying his head in his hands, his shoulders trembling slightly.
Lin Jianhe walked out of the apartment building, and the cold wind blew, but the anger burned even more intensely.
He stopped a car and said to the driver, “Go to [Night Colors]!”
Half an hour later, Lin Jianhe was sitting in a VIP booth at the “Night Colors” club, with a row of strong liquor in front of him.
He tilted his head and downed a glass of whiskey, the alcohol burning his throat, but he couldn’t suppress the irritability in his heart.
“President Lin, why are you here alone today?”
The club manager came over with a smile, “Would you like me to find a couple of people to drink with you?”
Lin Jianhe sneered, “Sure, find two who can drink.”
The manager immediately understood and turned to arrange it.
Before long, two young boys came over, one clean and handsome, one with a bit of arogueishness, both the most popular “young masters” in the club.
“Hello, President Lin,” the two greeted obediently, sitting on either side of Lin Jianhe.
Lin Jianhe didn’t even look at them, just pointed to the wine on the table: “Drink.”
The two boys exchanged glances, not daring to neglect, and immediately poured wine and accompanied him in drinking.
Liu Jinchen had just sent Yu Fengran back, got a nose full of ash (unpleasant experience), and wasn’t in a good mood either, so he went straight back to the club.
Sitting by himself at the bar, his head was full of images of Yu Fengran hanging on him.
That little idiot, looking so clean, he was actually a little hot.
Liu Jinchen downed two drinks and prepared to go pee, and passed by the VIP room. A group of girls were carrying wine inside!
He glanced in unintentionally, and saw the person who had just taken Yu Fengran from his hand, claiming to be his boyfriend.
“Why is he here?”
Liu Jinchen looked inside a couple of times, “Yo, and he ordered two! Wait, he’s here, so where’s that little idiot?”
Liu Jinchen took out his phone, recorded a video of Lin Jianhe drinking a cross-cupped wine with one of the male escorts, and forwarded it to Zhuo Huaimo,
“Your friend has bad taste, that guy is unreliable, he just threw the little idiot at home and then ran to order escorts?”
Liu Jinchen waved to the lobby manager, “Tell everyone inside, get that guy completely drunk, all service fees and liquor fees doubled!”
