Chapter 1: He’s Back

Nanxi Village.

There is a Nanxi River at the entrance of the village, and a highway crosses the river.

It snowed a few days ago, and the ice on the river hasn’t completely melted. The wind is chilling to the bone.

Lin Xi stood by the river as if he couldn’t feel the cold, looking at the highway entering the village, his eyes yearning.

Lin Xi hesitated for a moment, looking at the man in front of him who was as always unchanged, and couldn’t refuse.

“Okay.” He responded and then slowly climbed into Mu Chuang’s car, sitting in his passenger seat.

“You know,” Mu Chuang closed the car door, smiled, and said with a hint of sarcasm, “Those women fight every day to sit in this passenger seat, and I’m too lazy to mediate.”

“But our Lin Xi is different. As long as you want to sit, Chuang-ge will ask them to let you.” The way he said this almost made Lin Xi misunderstand.

But he knew that Mu Chuang only treated him as a younger brother and had no other intentions at all.

Lin Xi smiled and said nothing.

Mu Chuang wasn’t one to dwell on details. Seeing that the other person smiled, he took it as a tacit agreement, stepped on the clutch, and drove towards his house.

Along the way, some villagers cast jealous glances, but Mu Chuang pretended not to see them.

The luxury car braked and stopped in his yard.

And the person she wanted to introduce was her own niece, which clearly meant that she saw Mu Chuang’s success and was eager to get close to him.
