ASSHKHME Chapter 130
by VolareChapter 130: Forever Friends
It was three-thirty in the morning, and all was silent.
The suitcase that had traveled across the ocean lay pathetically in front of the tightly closed door, still containing Chen Zhuo’s notebooks and original design works. Fortunately, it was a one-apartment-per-floor layout, making it safe enough.
Half an hour ago, Chen Zhuo and Xie Yu couldn’t help but hug and kiss as soon as they got off the elevator. Like dry wood meeting a raging fire, they stumbled and hurried into the house, their legs tangled together, completely forgetting about the suitcase.
Inside the bathroom, steaming hot water poured down.
Chen Zhuo chewed on the hem of his short sleeve, his eyes barely open from the water.
As if grasping at the last straw before drowning, he clung tightly to Xie Yu’s arm.
One after another, vibrant plum blossoms bloomed over the tattoo that represented his nightmare.
The child lost in the humid rainy season twelve years ago was pulled out of the long-lasting nightmare by Xie Yu.
Lightning tore through the night, and the heavy thunder of early summer rolled in, pressing down on the dark sky with a deafening roar.
Chen Zhuo’s eyelashes were beaded with water as he opened his misty eyes, falling into Xie Yu’s burning gaze.
Xie Yu held him, brushed away his soaked forehead hair, and asked with concern, “Are you scared?”
Chen Zhuo slowly shook his head, wrapped his arms around Xie Yu’s neck, and murmured, “With you here, I’m not scared, ah…”
Veins popped on Xie Yu’s neck. “Wife, how can you say such things? Are you trying to kill me?”
Chen Zhuo pulled away from him slightly, his watery eyes staring directly at him. “Stop talking, hurry up and (do) me.”
…………
A gentle breeze stirred the white yarncurtain, and sunlight streamed in, outlining a warm light and shadow on the messy bed.
Chen Zhuo’s eyelashes fluttered, and he slowly opened his eyes. Turning his head, he saw Xie Yu still sound asleep. Everything was so beautiful.
He reached out from under the thin blanket, trying to grab his phone on the bedside table to check the time, when he was surprised to find that in addition to the plain platinum ring, another ring adorned the ring finger of his left hand.
A silver band was set with a pigeon egg diamond ring of at least five carats, glittering in the sunlight with the dazzling light of money.
Chen Zhuo’s eyes widened instantly, and his joy was replaced by shock. He suddenly felt his hand was so heavy.
He nudged Xie Yu next to him. “Is this a diamond ring? A real diamond? It must be five carats, right? Why did you give me a diamond ring?”
Woken up, Xie Yu stretched out his arm and pulled Chen Zhuo back into his arms, his voice sticky and somewhat aggrieved. “Baby, why did you wake up so early? Was I not trying hard enough?”
Chen Zhuo wasn’t in the mood to flirt with him. “I’m asking you a question. Why did you give me such a big diamond ring?”
Xie Yu chuckled twice. “That’s a funny question. Why would I give you a diamond ring? Isn’t a diamond ring used for proposing?”
Chen Zhuo blinked. “When did you propose? Did that even happen?”
Xie Yu was speechless. He bit Chen Zhuo’s shoulder. “Chen Zhuo, you’re so annoying. Don’t you understand romance? Shouldn’t you be delighted to wake up and find yourself wearing a proposal ring? Should I kneel down for you now? I knelt for you yesterday, too.”
Chen Zhuo hissed and slapped him. “It’s just that this is too big, isn’t it? I can’t even wear it. How much did this cost?”
Xie Yu pinched his cheeks and kissed him hard. “If you can’t wear it, just leave it at home. I have a safe in my study. Why do you care how much money I spend? Your husband here may not have anything else, but I have plenty of money.”
Chen Zhuo snorted and laughed. “Show off.”
Xie Yu was amused and grabbed his hand, kissing it gently. He asked seriously, “Chen Xiaozhuo, are you willing to marry me?”
The corners of Chen Zhuo’s eyes curved into a beautiful arc, and he nodded. “Yes, I am.”
They looked at each other for a while, and neither of them could stand such a serious and solemn atmosphere, so they hugged each other and burst into laughter.
——
Chen Zhuo went back to school to submit his application for reinstatement and happened to run into Jiang Song, who had just finished taking graduation photos. Jiang Song was a year ahead of them and was graduating this year.
Jiang Song, wearing his graduation gown, jogged over. He looked around and, not seeing Xie Yu, smiled and hugged Chen Zhuo. “Xiaozhuo~ When did you get back? I thought I wouldn’t see you before I left Jiangbei.”
Chen Zhuo gently patted his back and said, “I just landed this morning. Are you going back to your family’s side? Didn’t you say you wanted to make it on your own in Jiangbei?”
Jiang Song’s medium-length hair was cut short. He scratched his bangs, his tone revealing a hint of regret. “Hey, plans can’t keep up with changes. My parents bought me an apartment and a car, and they even found me a job. Why would I give up a good life and stay in Jiangbei to suffer?”
The leaves rustled in the breeze. Chen Zhuo’s emotions churned, but in the end, he only said, “That’s good, too. Anyway, your parents are open-minded and knew you were gay a long time ago, and they don’t object. Being able to stay with family is also a kind of happiness.”
Jiang Song’s tear ducts were low, and his eyes suddenly reddened. He looked up at Chen Zhuo. “Xiaozhuo, I really envy you.”
Chen Zhuo reached out and wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes, gently saying, “Falling in love with a straight man is a required course for every gay man. It’s not a big deal. Let me tell you, Zhao Jiashu snores in his sleep, which is very annoying, and he likes to sleep naked. His living habits are not good at all.”
Jiang Song was amused by him, and tears welled up in his eyes. He whispered, “Is he big?”
Chen Zhuo choked. “…………”
Jiang Song rarely saw Chen Zhuo at a loss for words, and he couldn’t help but laugh. He wiped his tears. “Don’t worry, I’m fine. Thank you for comforting me. Take good care of Xie Yu. I hope you’ll be happy, Xiaozhuo.”
Chen Zhuo smiled faintly. “I will. Jiang Jiang, you have to be happy, too. No matter where you are, we’re friends.”
Jiang Song said brightly, “Of course! We’ll always be friends! I’ll come to Jiangbei to visit you when I have time. You and Xie Yu have to come visit me, too. The sea is especially beautiful there. I’ll take you to the island to play.”
Chen Zhuo nodded. “Okay, it’s a deal.”
Jiang Song held out his little finger. “Pinky swear, a hundred years, no take-backs~”
As they were talking, Zhao Jiashu happened to pass by.
Sometimes, fate is just so annoying. It was this “just so” that made Jiang Song feel that they were destined and had a chance.
From the moment Zhao Jiashu showed resistance to his approach, Jiang Song understood that there was no possibility between them. He understood it rationally, but it was difficult to let go emotionally. He pestered for so long that he lost all face.
Zhao Jiashu scratched his head awkwardly. “Um, Jiang Song, happy graduation.”
Jiang Song pursed his lips. “Yeah, thanks.”
“Sorry, um… although… but… being friends is also good,” Zhao Jiashu looked at Chen Zhuo for help. “Right?”
Before Chen Zhuo could speak, Jiang Song said, “I don’t want to be friends with you. I’m only friends with Xiaozhuo.”
With that, he pulled Chen Zhuo away, the tears he had just stopped flowing again. “Wuwuwuwu, do I lack him as a friend? What I lack is a boyfriend, wuwuwu, I’m so miserable, wuwuwu…”
Chen Zhuo could only coax Xie Yu. His coaxing skills were very dry. “…Jiang Jiang, don’t cry. You’re not miserable.”
Jiang Song: “Waaaaah, wuwuwu…”
Chen Zhuo: “…Stop crying, snot is coming out.”
