    Chapter 59: The Childish Ghost

Saturday, Xie Yu returned to the dorm after finishing two elective classes.

Inside the dorm, the curtains were drawn so tightly it was pitch black, managing to turn ten in the morning into midnight.

Xie Yu carefully closed the door, and amidst the rhythmic snoring, tiptoed up the bed ladder to Chen Zhuo’s bunk.

The iron bunk bed creaked and groaned.

Xie Yu, with mischievous intent, poked Chen Zhuo, who was curled up under the covers, through the blanket.

Chen Zhuo, with earplugs in, squinted and poked half his head out from under the covers, his messy, frizzy curls disheveled, his face full of annoyance.

Before Chen Zhuo’s morning grumpiness could erupt and turn him hostile, Xie Yu took the initiative to burrow into his blanket and block his mouth.

Chen Zhuo’s blanket was soft and fragrant, with a mix of citrus and his own scent. Xie Yu was like a dog that had found a bone, latching on and refusing to let go.

It was already winter, and even though Xie Yu had taken off his outer coat, he still carried a chill.

Chen Zhuo was only wearing thin cotton pajamas, and the coldness from Xie Yu made him shiver, waking him up completely. He shrunk away a little. “Cold.”

Xie Yu shamelessly wrapped his arms around Chen Zhuo’s waist, preventing him from escaping, and said in a rascal-like manner, “Warm me up, warm me up and I won’t be cold.”

Chen Zhuo wanted to kick him, but he was afraid of waking Zhao Jiashu and Li Ang. It would be a sin to give these two poor straight guys any psychological trauma.

“Xie Yu, you’re so annoying, such an annoying pest.”

Chen Zhuo was unable to resist the passionate kiss, and reluctantly pushed Xie Yu’s shoulder, lowering his voice, “Hurry up and get off, I haven’t brushed my teeth, I haven’t brushed my teeth, I haven’t brushed my teeth!”

Xie Yu pecked at the corner of his mouth like a woodpecker, again and again, “I, don’t, mind, you.”

Chen Zhuo didn’t have any morning grumpiness left. The words “gluttonous little dog” circled around and around in his mind.

He smiled and tugged at Xie Yu’s hair, “If you don’t mind me, I still mind you, annoying. Didn’t your parents tell you to go home? Hurry back, in case something happens.”

Xie Yu chuckled and pinched his face, “You’re the one with all the worries. You’re already chasing me away? You’re neglecting me right after we got together?”

Chen Zhuo laughed, “Who’s neglecting you? Why are you so sensitive? Are you sensitive skin?”

Xie Yu brushed against Chen Zhuo’s thigh, pretending to attack, and said mischievously, “That’s right, I’m sensitive skin.”

The last word was spoken very softly.

Chen Zhuo’s face flushed, and he scolded him in a low voice, “Crazy, hurry up and get up, I haven’t brushed my teeth or washed my face.”

Xie Yu said, “Wait a bit, I have something good.”

Chen Zhuo gave a puzzled “mm,” in the dimness he could only see Xie Yu’s vague shadow. He saw Xie Yu reach into his pocket and take something out.

Then it was brought to his mouth, “sī lā——” the sound of tearing open a plastic wrapper.

Chen Zhuo’s face flushed red, his eyes widened slightly, and he felt a sudden panic, whispering, “Xie Yu! This is the dorm! Are you crazy? Don’t mess around.”

Although he often flirted with Xie Yu, he wasn’t ready for the real thing, especially not here in the dorm!

    It seemed a little exciting.

Chen Zhuo wasn’t some innocent good boy, but there were still roommates in the room, and there weren’t even any curtains, how could this be allowed? It was too much, this wouldn’t work!

Xie Yu leaned down, and Chen Zhuo nervously pushed him away, “Really can’t, it’ll be too loud…”

The cool mint flavor filled his mouth. Chen Zhuo blinked, his tongue touched the candy, and his head felt like it exploded.

Xie Yu supported himself on his palm next to his ear, suddenly realizing something, and lowered his head to bury himself in his shoulder, laughing quietly: “Chen Zhuo, Chen Zhuo, are you a color ghost? This is the dorm.”

Chen Zhuo “gā bēng” chewed the hard candy in his mouth, staring lifelessly at the broken fan on the ceiling, and said softly, “If you want to go home alive, shut your mouth.”

Xie Yu held back his laughter, and asked mischievously, “Is the refreshing candy I grabbed from your male god friend’s shop last time delicious?”

Chen Zhuo gritted his teeth, crushing the broken candy and swallowing it, licking the corner of his lips, as if savoring the taste, and said with a smile, “It’s delicious, after all, it’s what my male god ate, sweet. Do you have more? Give it all to me, I’ll eat it slowly.”

Xie Yu’s face turned as black as coal, and he said angrily, “What did you say?”

He didn’t lower his voice when he said this, he just shouted it out.

The symphony-like snoring came to an abrupt halt.

Zhao Jiashu jumped up looking dazed, still not fully recovered from his dream, “What’s wrong? What’s wrong?”

He hurriedly fumbled for the glasses next to his pillow and put them on, his vision gradually focusing, and grabbed the flashlight to shine it, “Huh? Yu-ge? Why did you run onto Xiao Zhuo’s bed again?”

It was simply a scene reappearing, the spotlight-like light shining on Xie Yu’s face again.

Chen Zhuo covered his head and pretended to be dead.

The veins on Xie Yu’s forehead throbbed, “Zhao Jiashu!”

The spotlight shook and suddenly went out.

Zhao Jiashu woke up, “I’m sleepwalking, sleepwalking,” he quickly lay down, but still couldn’t help but say, “Keep it down you two fighting, don’t attract the dorm auntie.”

He was warm-hearted, but his emotional intelligence was unknown.

Li Ang, who was also awakened but lying still on his bed, sighed and muttered to himself: Little Shu, Little Shu, use your head! A single dog with no discernment.

The world returned to silence, Xie Yu lifted Chen Zhuo’s blanket a little, and said fiercely, “What did you say just now? Say it again!”

    Petty! Sore loser!

Chen Zhuo was extremely speechless, lowering his voice and saying, “Am I a repeater?! Wherever you point, I’ll say it. Good words are never repeated, you quickly leave.”

Xie Yu was so angry he wanted to flip this heartless guy over and spank his ass right then and there.

Chen Zhuo didn’t hear a reply, and tugged at Xie Yu’s pants with his toes, “Alright, I’m teasing you, hurry up and go, okay?”

Xie Yu didn’t say a word, suddenly covered Chen Zhuo’s mouth, lowered his head and kissed him fiercely, then turned around and got off the bed.

Chen Zhuo covered his neck, dazed for a while, and heard the “click” of the dorm door opening and closing.

Xie Yu left in a huff.

    Chen Zhuo smiled silently.

It wasn’t until noon that the 2013 dorm saw the light of day, the curtains were pulled open, and the warm sun shone in.

Chen Zhuo yawned, sat up, and picked up his phone to look at it.

WeChat messages 99+, all sent by Xie Yu, filling the screen with: 【Scumbag scumbag scumbag!!!】

The sweet taste of mint candy still seemed to linger in his mouth. The corners of Chen Zhuo’s eyes curved into a smile. This childish ghost who was easily jealous was quite cute.

After washing up, he was about to ride his little electric motorcycle to the cafeteria to buy food.

Zhao Jiashu suddenly pointed to the side of Chen Zhuo’s neck and said, “Huh? Xiao Zhuo, did a mosquito bite you? I heard buzzing yesterday, it’s below zero, haven’t they all died yet?”

Chen Zhuo tugged at his turtleneck sweater, embarrassed, “Ah, yes, these mosquitoes are too annoying.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Li Ang laughed.

    Chen Zhuo suddenly felt guilty.

He had sensed last time that Li Ang seemed to know that the relationship between him and Xie Yu was unusual, but he had never dared to ask.

Chen Zhuo looked at Li Ang, and Li Ang winked at him, making a gesture of zipping his lips, meaning that he would keep his mouth shut.

Gratitude grew in Chen Zhuo’s heart. He had always worried that his orientation would be annoying.

Having hidden it for nineteen years, Xie Yu was the only one who knew this secret.

Today he realized that true friends didn’t mind at all.

    Chen Zhuo said, “Thank you.”

Li Ang said “Aiyo,” “It’s nothing, aren’t we brothers? Don’t say such nonsense.”

Zhao Jiashu was at a loss, “What are you two talking about? What’s the matter?”

Li Ang looked at him like an idiot, patted his shoulder, “Good boy, let’s not pry.”
