ASSHKHME Chapter 35
by VolareXie Yu’s gaze was like that of a hungry wolf fixed on its prey, fierce, silently burning Chen Zhuo in the darkness.
The world was asleep, and from the woods outside the dormitory building came intermittent howls of wild cats in heat.
Sharp and intense, filled with endless restlessness and desire, they made one’s scalp tingle.
Chen Zhuo felt as if he had been scratched by a cat’s claws. Under Xie Yu’s masculine, aggressive gaze, an unspeakable tingling arose in his heart.
Enveloped by Xie Yu’s aura, he shifted his gaze uncomfortably, but then stubbornly stared back, “Why are you staring at me?”
Xie Yu’s little finger lightly flicked the silver chain on Chen Zhuo’s left wrist, and he took another step forward: “Chen Zhuo, I think I’ve really been infected by you.”
Chen Zhuo’s eyebrows darkened with displeasure, “Nonsense, I’m perfectly healthy. What could I have infected you with?”
Xie Yu’s untamed eyes were hidden in the shadows, his gaze sliding heavily down Chen Zhuo’s thick eyelashes, along his high, straight nose, and landing on his slightly parted lips, staring at his “source of infection,” he murmured, “Give me the antidote.”
“What antidote? Are you having a fit of middle-school syndrome?”
Chen Zhuo didn’t see Xie Yu’s restless desire. His attention was drawn to something that had fallen from the right pocket of his windbreaker, something that looked a little familiar, “What’s this?”
Xie Yu followed his gaze. His mind buzzed. He frantically picked up the thing and stuffed it back into his pocket, his face flushed as he took two steps back, stammering, “N-nothing, it’s nothing.”
Belatedly, Chen Zhuo’s face also flushed. His lips moved, his expression complex, as he looked at Xie Yu in disbelief: “You… you stole my underwear?”
Embarrassment, awkwardness, and shyness flickered across Xie Yu’s face. He didn’t know how to explain, and said urgently, “No! I didn’t steal it! It fell onto my balcony, I was just bringing it back for you!”
Chen Zhuo thoughtfully rubbed his chin, his fingers tracing his lower lip, and said meaningfully, “Oh, really? Why didn’t you put it in your bag? Why stuff it in your pocket?”
He took a step forward, taking the initiative, a curved smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, as he looked innocently at Xie Yu and asked softly, “Little Yu, are you a pervert?”
He was teasing him again.
Xie Yu’s eyes were red with anxiety. He covered Chen Zhuo’s mouth again, fiercely, but with a pleading tone, “I’m not, don’t say that, or I’ll hit you.”
In Chen Zhuo’s dark, bright pupils reflected Xie Yu’s face, flushed with shame and anger, a rare and beautiful sight.
He blinked, and laughed in Xie Yu’s palm, “You’re hiding my underwear, and you’re saying you’re not a pervert? Little Yu, you…”
“I said! Don’t say it anymore!”
Xie Yu was enraged, pinching Chen Zhuo’s jaw to force him to look up, his eyes deep: “Can’t you understand human language? Chen Zhuo, why are you so irritating?”
Chen Zhuo was still laughing, “Why am I…”
The sudden pressure on his lips blocked the words he hadn’t finished speaking. Chen Zhuo widened his eyes in shock, “Mmm!”
The dream became reality.
Nerve endings exploded like fireworks, leaving Xie Yu’s mind blank and his heart pounding like a drum.
All the impulses that could not be spoken, that could not be explained by reason, turned into surging hormones, condensed in this kiss.
What did the first kiss taste like?
It was the taste of alcohol mixed with mint toothpaste, a dizzying sensation in sobriety.
A thin veil of moonlight fell on Chen Zhuo’s suddenly constricted pupils. The situation had clearly exceeded his comprehension, and his thoughts were like rusty machinery, difficult to operate.
Chen Zhuo was stunned by Xie Yu’s chaotic but passionate kiss.
If Xie Yu’s sharp teeth hadn’t bumped him painfully, he might have even thought he was dreaming.
His homophobic nemesis was kissing him, Xie Yu was kissing him!
Reality was so absurd that Chen Zhuo didn’t immediately react and push Xie Yu away.
It wasn’t until the mop next to them was knocked over, making a “thump” sound, that Chen Zhuo suddenly woke up as if from a dream and violently shook off his hand.
Embarrassed, confused.
His eyes couldn’t hide his shock. Chen Zhuo vigorously rubbed his lips, rubbing until his face was red, his ears red, and his neck red.
After a long while, he pointed at Xie Yu’s nose in disbelief and cursed in a low voice, “What terrible drinking habits!”
His brain was still exploding with fireworks, and Xie Yu’s eyes still held an unfinished longing, like a wolf that had not yet been satisfied.
From inside the room came the sound of a roommate turning over, followed by the creaking of the bed. Someone got out of bed and swayed towards the balcony.
The sound of slippers scraping against the floor grew closer and closer.
Xie Yu stood still. Chen Zhuo looked around nervously, but there was nowhere to hide on the narrow, open balcony.
Two men hiding on the balcony in the middle of the night was awkward, but not an inexplicable disaster.
But Chen Zhuo was nervous. His usually active brain had stopped working because of Xie Yu’s kiss, and he just stood there dumbfounded.
A second before his roommate was about to push open the door, Chen Zhuo was pulled by Xie Yu into the half-drawn curtains by the window.
Outside the window was endless night and a hazy moon.
Xie Yu held Chen Zhuo’s waist, pulling him into his arms, and whispered into his ear, “Don’t be afraid, we won’t be discovered.”
Warm breath brushed against his ear, and Chen Zhuo’s eyelashes trembled, clutching Xie Yu’s clothes tightly.
Looking over his shoulder, Chen Zhuo saw the stars constantly twinkling in the dark night sky.
The bathroom light was on, and light seeped through the gaps in the curtains.
The two could see each other’s faces clearly, both red, and they looked at each other before quickly looking away.
The bathroom door was not closed, and the strong, powerful sound of water continued. Chen Zhuo pressed his face against Xie Yu’s shoulder and whispered, “I bet it’s Zhao Jiashu, he pees a lot.”
“…”
Xie Yu wordlessly covered Chen Zhuo’s ears, “Why do you guess everything?”
Five minutes later, the light went out, and the footsteps slowly moved away, followed by the creaking of the bed.
Xie Yu whispered, “I bet it’s Li Ang, he didn’t wash his hands. Let him treat us to dinner another day, or I’ll tell his goddess that he doesn’t wash his hands after peeing.”
Chen Zhuo chuckled softly.
Neither of them moved. In this small space, they could only hear each other’s breathing and heartbeats.
Chen Zhuo’s body temperature was transmitted to Xie Yu’s palm through the thin fabric of his pajamas, spreading all the way up, and his mind began to spin again.
Xie Yu wanted to say something to Chen Zhuo, but he didn’t know what to say, nor did he dare to open his mouth easily.
He was afraid that Chen Zhuo would ask about the kiss just now, afraid that Chen Zhuo would ask him to explain his sexuality.
Like a scumbag, he couldn’t answer either of those questions.
But if Chen Zhuo wanted him to take responsibility for this kiss…
Xie Yu’s calm blood began to boil again. The curtain covering him suddenly turned into a white veil in a church, and he murmured, “I do.”
He was lost in a pure white fantasy, but Chen Zhuo pulled back the veil and walked out.
Xie Yu’s arms were empty, and he felt a little lost.
Chen Zhuo’s emotions were unclear, and he asked an unexpected question: “Xie Yu, are you drunk and mistaking me for someone else?”
Xie Yu was as if he had been hit over the head with a stick: “Huh? What?”
“The women’s perfume on you could choke two wild boars to death!” Chen Zhuo’s eyes became complicated, with a hint of anger burning, “Let me guess, did you go out on a date with a female classmate and get drunk, and now you’re coming to me to vent your drunken madness!”
Xie Yu was at a loss, not understanding Chen Zhuo’s logic: “What are you talking about? What female classmate?”
Chen Zhuo didn’t give him a chance to explain. He kicked him in the calf, turned around, and left: “You bastard, go to hell!”
Xie Yu squatted down in pain, finally reacting. He raised his arm, smelled it, and muttered, “It’s really not what you think.”
