    Chapter 15: Bang

Xie Yu narrowed his eyes and smiled, raising his eyebrows at Chen Zhuo with a ruffian-like air.

“Little Zhuo’er, stay a few more days, and ride back to school in my car, okay? I’ll take good ‘care’ of you.”

He emphasized the word “care” heavily.

Chen Zhuo clearly caught the provocative glint in Xie Yu’s eyes. He wanted to find an opportunity for revenge and regain the face he had just lost.

General Manager Yang chimed in with a smile, “That’s right, why go back so early? Young people should enjoy life while they’re young. Once you start working, you won’t have any time. Haha, right, General Manager Xu?”

Xu Qingyou glanced at him coldly.

General Manager Yang silently retracted his protruding teeth, “…”

Xie Yu whispered to Chen Zhuo, using a volume only they could hear, jokingly said, “Little Zhuo’er wouldn’t be scared, would you? Afraid I’ll dump your body in the mountains?”

Chen Zhuo’s dark eyes were bright, and he smiled, not deliberately lowering his voice, and said seriously, “How could I be? Little Yu, everything I said just now was true.”

General Manager Yang couldn’t help but interject, puzzled, “What did you say?”

Chen Zhuo smiled slyly, “A secret.”

Xie Yu recalled Chen Zhuo’s flirtatious and ambiguous remarks just now, his expression instantly becoming unnatural. He frowned at him, rebuking him with his eyes.

Their gazes clashed, crackling with electricity, an indescribable atmosphere spreading in the air.

A ripple appeared in Xu Qingyou’s deep, pool-like eyes, but he calmly asked Chen Zhuo for his opinion, “Little Zhuo, what do you think? Should we stay or go back with me?”

Chen Zhuo replied, “Let’s stay two more days. Brother, you go back and take care of work first. I’ll be fine.”

Xu Qingyou “hmmed” in agreement, his gaze sweeping over Xie Yu on Chen Zhuo’s other side, with an imperceptible scrutiny, “Okay, I’ll listen to you. I’ll come pick you up as soon as I’m done with work.”

The waiters began to serve the exquisitely plated dishes one after another. Xie Yu glanced over them, and not one of them had scallions or cilantro.

Xu Qingyou couldn’t stay long and had to rush to the airport after eating. Chen Zhuo saw him off, “Qingyou Ge, drive slowly, don’t rush.”

Xu Qingyou hesitated, “Are you really going to stay? You and Xie Yu…”

“I’ve already figured out how to deal with him.” Chen Zhuo misunderstood Xu Qingyou’s meaning, his eyebrows raised, slyly saying, “Don’t worry, Ge, I know I can’t beat him, I won’t fight him.”

It seemed he had been overthinking it. What were the chances that the person you liked just happened to like the same gender?

Xu Qingyou never had any extravagant hopes. Not all feelings needed to see the light of day. Being the person Chen Zhuo trusted most was already very lucky.

Xu Qingyou took out his car keys to unlock the Bentley, and instructed, “Don’t play too hard, you little brat. Call me if anything happens.”

Chen Zhuo took a few steps back, giving the car room to leave the parking space, and waved with a smile, “I know, drive safe, Ge.”

The midday sun was a bit harsh. Chen Zhuo raised his hand to shield his eyes, and after watching the Bentley’s taillights disappear from sight, he walked towards the mountain resort lobby.

Xie Yu was sitting listlessly in the lobby’s lounge area, fiddling with the flower arrangement on the table. He had found a random excuse to send the talkative General Manager Yang away.

Now, his mind was filled with how to deal with Chen Zhuo, and the vacation was becoming interesting.

The sofa next to him sank, and Chen Zhuo sat down, kicking his leg, “I’m thirsty, go pour me a glass of water.”

The lounge area had all kinds of drinks, along with disposable cups.

Xie Yu said unhappily, “Why should I do as you say? Why don’t you pour it for me?”

Chen Zhuo feigned surprise, “Isn’t this your family’s investment property?”

Xie Yu was puzzled, “So what?”

Chen Zhuo leaned lazily against the back of the chair, feeling sleepy after just eating, and yawned, “Is it so hard to pour a glass of water for your God?”

Xie Yu’s gaze moved to the service concept sign on the nearby pillar: “The customer is God.”

    Xie Yu: “…”

Since General Manager Yang had already instructed his staff, the service staff at the front desk were very attentive and poured two cups of coffee for them.

After a few pointless verbal exchanges, Chen Zhuo originally wanted to go back to his room for a nap, but Xie Yu forcibly dragged him out the door, “Don’t be like an old man at such a young age. Didn’t that gossipy Yang guy say there’s a shooting range? I’m treating, let’s go play.”

The shooting range was semi-enclosed, covered with lawn, surrounded by walls on all sides, and hung with a glass roof. Only those over eighteen years old could enter.

After Xie Yu and Chen Zhuo entered, they were taken by the staff to a safety education room to watch a gun introduction and usage tutorial, and a professional demonstrated the safe operating procedures.

Chen Zhuo and Xie Yu were divided into a group, led by a safety officer into the live-fire shooting range.

Almost everyone in the range was excited young people. The “bang, bang” of bullets was a bit deafening. After Chen Zhuo put on his goggles and earmuffs, the noise was greatly reduced.

Someone bumped his shoulder, and Xie Yu, holding a shotgun, arrogantly raised his eyebrows at Chen Zhuo, signaling him to watch carefully.

Chen Zhuo took a few steps to the side, inexplicably feeling that Xie Yu was like a peacock about to display its feathers, or an elementary school student eager to show off to the teacher and get a small red flower.

But it had to be admitted that Xie Yu’s appearance of holding the gun and aiming seriously was very worth watching, the side of his face with its cold and hard lines, slightly tilting his head to look through the scope.

Chen Zhuo leaned against the glass partition wall next to him, shamelessly admiring the curve of the muscles pulled out by Xie Yu’s movements. He saw Xie Yu press the trigger, emptying the ten bullets in the magazine without any hesitation.

He was shooting at a moving target, and soon the staff announced the score: ten shots, all bullseyes. Loud exclamations and applause rang out around them.

Xie Yu took off his earmuffs and proudly raised his chin at Chen Zhuo, “How was that?”

    Chen Zhuo applauded very obligingly.

Then he poked Xie Yu’s shoulder socket, who was completely unprepared. Xie Yu instantly changed his expression in pain, “Ow!”

The shotgun had a strong recoil. After all, Xie Yu was not a professional, so holding it steady was already difficult. At this moment, his shoulder socket was probably bruised.

Chen Zhuo laughed, laughed sincerely, laughed until his eyes narrowed, and mocked, “Haha, idiot.”

Xie Yu was dazed by his smile, averted his gaze, and snorted coldly, “You come, you come, you try. With your little body, the recoil will blow you away.”

Chen Zhuo picked up a light pistol from the side, weighed it in his hand, and said leisurely, “I ate too much at noon, so I’m not falling for that. I’ll play with this.”

The new target position was adjusted, and the safety officer loaded it.

Chen Zhuo’s posture was very standard, tall with long legs, broad shoulders, and a narrow waist. Standing there, he looked like a model for a magazine.

He and Xie Yu were different types. Xie Yu was aggressively handsome, with a touch of unruly wildness.

And Chen Zhuo’s appearance was refreshing and gentle, looking very young, with a gentle, youthful air that was seriously inconsistent with his personality.

After aiming at the target, Chen Zhuo also fired ten shots in a row without hesitation.

He was shooting at a human-shaped target, not all bullseyes.

But after the staff sent it over, Xie Yu found that these ten bullets were not shot randomly, but were very regularly located in fatal areas such as the forehead, throat, and heart.

Xie Yu’s expression was complicated. He inexplicably felt some pain all over his body, and couldn’t help but say, “Chen Zhuo’er, is this not your first time playing with a gun, is it? You’re really perverted.”

At this moment, Chen Zhuo had not yet put down the emptied pistol, and was fiddling with it in his palm.

After hearing Xie Yu’s words, he suddenly turned the gun and aimed it at Xie Yu’s heart.

The safety officer behind him was so frightened that his heart stopped. He frantically thought about how many bullets he had loaded inside, and said anxiously, “Don’t play around!!”

Chen Zhuo half-narrowed his eyes, raised the muzzle slightly, and the corners of his mouth were upturned in a slight arc, and said softly, “Bang~”
