Chapter 17: Are You an Exorcist?

Inside a luxuriously decorated private room, seven or eight men were eating, drinking, and chatting.

Seeing the foreign liquor placed in front of him, Zhou Zhou couldn’t suppress the itch in his heart. He picked it up and took a small sip.

The sharp, spicy flavor spread throughout his mouth. He licked his lips with lingering satisfaction, tilting his chin slightly as he drained the glass.

While Zhou Jin was toasting others, he picked up the bottle and poured himself another glass.

He refused to believe that this body’s alcohol tolerance was really so poor!

Pei Yanlie opened the door and entered the private room, passing by Zhou Zhou and glancing at him out of the corner of his eye.

Seeing him holding the glass with a silly grin, his cheeks flushed red, it was obvious he was drunk again.

He frowned almost imperceptibly. Just as he pulled out a chair to sit down, Zhou Jin began toasting him.

“President Pei, I’m truly grateful that you could take the time to come today. I’ll drink this cup to you.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he raised his glass and drank it down in one gulp. Then he picked up the bottle next to him, wanting to pour another glass, but only a drop of white liquid came out.

He looked surprised, muttering softly, “Huh? It’s empty?”

Pei Yanlie raised his chin slightly, gesturing for him to look to the side.

Zhou Jin turned his head and saw his own brother, already slumped like mud, drunkenly sprawled on the table, grinning foolishly at him.

His eyelids twitched violently a few times as he lowered his voice and scolded, “Zhou Zhou! Why are you drinking so much!”

“Huh? Are you calling me?” Zhou Zhou raised his head, then “thumped” back down onto the table, his head stuck to the surface as he started to spin it around, his eyeballs following along.

    [1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8]

[Eight bastards gathered together, what are they doing?]

[Why is this bastard staring at me?]

He lay on the table, glaring at Zhou Jin, muttering, “Are bastards also nearsighted?”

Zhou Jin rubbed his forehead in a headache, asking softly, “Are you feeling unwell? Should I take you back first?”

Zhou Zhou shook his head, blinked, and sat up, saying in a manner that suggested he was very alert, “You underestimate me. It’s just a few drinks!”

[How dare you bastards underestimate me?]

[Stop waving around in front of me, I’m so dizzy.]

    [Ugh… I feel like throwing up…]

He stood up, his voice as soft as a whisper, “I’m going to wash my face.”

“Are you sure you’re okay? I’ll go with you,” Zhou Jin said, starting to stand up.

Zhou Zhou placed a hand on his shoulder, muttering, “Are you treating me like a child? Sit still and behave!”

“Haha, President Zhou doesn’t need to worry too much, young people can hold their liquor,” someone joked.

“That’s right, your brother looks pretty energetic, and he’s still speaking fluently.”

Zhou Zhou narrowed his eyes, raising the corners of his mouth in a smile, “Yes, yes, you bastards are right.”

Because his voice was too soft, they didn’t hear the word “bastard,” but Zhou Jin and Pei Yanlie did.

Zhou Jin urged helplessly, “Tsk, no respect for elders, go wash your face.”

“Okay, I’m going,” Zhou Zhou said, walking out of the private room with light, floating steps. The blurry vision made him unable to distinguish directions.

[Huh? Where’s the bathroom? Am I being led astray by a ghost?]

    [Ouch! That hurts!]

In the hallway outside the private room, he squatted on the ground, clutching his forehead and grimacing in pain.

“Who the hell drew a door on the wall!”

The door to the private room suddenly opened, and heavy footsteps gradually approached him until a pair of shiny leather shoes appeared before his eyes.

Zhou Zhou squinted and looked up, feeling like a giant was standing in front of him.

He squatted on the ground, wearing a bewildered expression, muttering softly, “Have I turned into a dwarf?”

Pei Yanlie looked down at him, his eyes slightly cold, and said softly, “I’ll take you to the bathroom.”

Zhou Zhou wanted to stand up, but his legs felt like they were filled with lead, making him unable to rise.

So, he reached out and grabbed the giant’s suit pants, pulling hard, trying to stand up.

Pei Yanlie was startled by this sudden action. Seeing that his pants were about to be pulled off, he lowered his voice and scolded, “What are you doing!”

“I can’t get up,” Zhou Zhou said, desperately looking up, his lips slightly pouting.

His slightly upturned eyebrows and eyes seemed to be shrouded in a layer of mist, hazy and moist, the red corners of his eyes revealing a thin layer of blush, enough to make anyone drunk just by looking at him.

Pei Yanlie’s eyebrows twitched slightly. He bent down slightly, his slender and powerful hand grabbing the back of his collar, and suddenly tightened his arm, lifting him up.

As soon as the giant let go, Zhou Zhou felt his legs go soft and quickly reached out to grab his black suit.

He lowered his head, staring blankly at the ground.

[This is terrible, these big waves are about to knock me over!]

“Let go.” An extremely cold voice drilled into his ears.

Zhou Zhou shuddered in fright, sobering up a bit. He immediately let go, took a step back, and stared at the tall and upright man in front of him with tightly pursed lips.

[Why did Pei Yanlie come out?!]

[He’s coming to hit on me!]

He immediately took a few steps back until his back was pressed against the wall before stopping.

    [Don’t come over! Go away!]

    [I’m not gay!]

Pei Yanlie snorted coldly, grabbed his arm, and dragged him toward a dark little corner.

“Senior Pei, where are you taking me?”

[I’m doomed! Is he going to take advantage of me being drunk and violate my chrysanthemum?!]

“Didn’t you say you were taking me to the bathroom?”

[Why is there such a dark corner in the hallway? Oh no, there’s no one around, am I going to die?!]

Zhou Zhou tensed up, his hands involuntarily clenching into fists.

[If you dare to do anything, I’ll beat you to death!]

Pei Yanlie pushed him against the wall, leaned down to stare directly at him, and said coldly, “I’ll give you one minute to get out of Zhou Zhou’s body, otherwise, I’ll stick this blessed talisman on you!”

Zhou Zhou looked up, staring at him with a bewildered expression, “Huh?”

[Get out of what? What is this, a talisman?]

Pei Yanlie’s eyes were as cold and deep as ice, suppressing the upward curve of his lips, and said in a deep voice, “Hmm, scared?”

[Emm… Does Pei Yanlie have a mental illness?]

Pei Yanlie scolded coldly, “If you keep talking nonsense, don’t blame me for being impolite.”

Zhou Zhou shrank back, lowering his eyes and saying sullenly, “Senior Pei, what are you talking about?”

[Has Pei Yanlie gone insane and started talking nonsense? What should I do? I’m so scared!]

With a “slap,” the yellow talisman was mercilessly stuck to Zhou Zhou’s forehead.

    [#**##]

Pei Yanlie’s expression changed, and he suddenly took a step back, his eyes becoming even darker.

As expected, it’s an evil spirit, he’s chanting incantations!

It seems the talisman given by the master is effective!

Zhou Zhou tore off the talisman, lowered his head to squint at it, then raised his eyes to look at the man opposite him, asking, “Senior Pei’s true identity is an exorcist?”

Pei Yanlie frowned tightly, snatched the talisman, and stuck it on Zhou Zhou’s forehead again.

[Are you crazy? Am I a zombie!]

Zhou Zhou ripped off the talisman, tore it to shreds, raised his eyebrows provocatively, and showed a smug smile.

Horrifying anger instantly rolled in Pei Yanlie’s eyes. He reached out and pinched Zhou Zhou’s chin, his voice low and suppressed, “It seems I underestimated you.”

    [Just talk, don’t touch me!]

Zhou Zhou slapped his hand away, the “slap” was very loud.

“What are you doing here?” Zhou Jin frowned, looking at the two people almost pressed together with an indescribable expression, his voice trembling slightly.
