ATPN Chapter 29
by Volare“But there’s not much snow on the Snow Mountain at this time, it’s mostly rocks. I guess I’ll have to come again sometime,” Yu Zhanrong said, holding up his phone and panning around, a little disappointed at not seeing any snow.
Looking up at the seemingly endless stairs, he couldn’t help but feel a little deflated. He clung to Liu Yi’s arm, “Look, it’s so high, it’s going to kill me!”
Liu Yi followed his gaze and then dealt him another blow, pointing to an even higher point, “See that? There are still people up there. What you’re talking about is only halfway.”
Yu Zhanrong: “…”
Maybe he should reconsider coming again next time.
[Even through the screen, I can feel Yu Bao’s soaring resentment]
[Take a deep breath of oxygen]
[It’s really high, looks like there are a lot of steps]
[Yu Bao, go for it!]
“Go for it? Can’t go for it at all, do you guys want me to get altitude sickness?” Yu Zhanrong said, holding onto the railing beside him as he struggled forward.
Actually, the altitude sickness was okay, he didn’t feel anything much right now. It was mainly that he was a little daunted by climbing the mountain. The wind was strong, making every step difficult.
In the end, he didn’t miss out on the scenery of seeing all the mountains. Holding his breath, he made it up the last step, and Yu Zhanrong, supporting his knees, sat directly on the wooden steps.
His breathing had become much quicker on the way up. He took an oxygen tank from his backpack, squinted, took a puff, and placed it next to him.
He didn’t actually feel uncomfortable, but he felt like he’d carried it all the way up, and after all the hardship to bring it up, he had to take a puff to make it worth his effort.
After resting for a while, he looked at the livestream comments: “Am I good enough? I climbed the mountain for you, all you have to do is look at the scenery.”
The comments were all [Thank you Yu Bao for taking us on a trip]. Yu Zhanrong’s eyes curved into crescents, his smug look that said “worthy of me” made Tang Wei want to punch him.
He turned his face to tell him to restrain himself a little, but met those eyes and immediately gave up.
Oh well, Yang You was right, he should just spoil the kid a little.
Tang Wei put his hands on the ground, stood up, and walked to the other side.
“Why did you come over here?” Yang You asked, taking photos and handing the phone to him naturally as he approached, “Help me take a few pictures.”
“Yu’er is showing off to his fans, I can’t stand it, but I can’t bear to tell him,” Tang Wei complained as he fiddled with the phone, immediately bursting into laughter when he saw Yang You holding up two peace signs.
“Bro, if you really don’t have anywhere to put your hands, you can put them in your pockets.”
Yang You chuckled sheepishly, unsure of what pose to make. He learned from the little girls next to him, touched his nose, and pulled over Liu Yi, who was grinning from ear to ear, “Take a group photo.”
Yu Zhanrong didn’t know when he had popped up from behind, squeezing in to join the photo.
Tang Wei, who was taking the photos, wasn’t happy. Why was he the one taking the photos for the group photo, while those three were grinning in the lens?
He pulled a tourist about their age to help them take the photos, squeezing in next to Yu Zhanrong, also sticking out two fingers and grinning.
The clouds had dispersed at some point, and the dazzling sun hung high, the sunlight dispelling the chill brought by the strong wind.
Traveling for a few days was happy, but also really tiring. Dragging their exhausted bodies, they rushed back to school on the last day of the holiday.
Back in the dorm, all four of them collapsed onto their chairs, motionless, silently collapsing for two or three minutes.
“It’s too tiring, let’s not pack our next trip so full,” Yu Zhanrong said weakly.
Yang You rolled his eyes and glanced at him, “Let’s not buy so many souvenirs either, like we’re stocking up.”
“Yeah, Yu’er, why did you buy so much? Aren’t you afraid of being tired carrying it all the way back?” Tang Wei also asked.
Yu Zhanrong: “To give as gifts, and send some back home. You guys should send some to your families too.”
After all, Old Yu Comrade had sponsored this trip, relieving his temporary financial distress.
“Okay, then I’ll send some home,” Tang Wei said, and the dorm suddenly fell silent.
“Damn it, I forgot I could send it! And I carried it all the way back, I’m impressed by myself.”
The others were clearly impressed too, all remaining silent.
At 4 p.m., the sun was shining brightly outside, but the curtains of Room 311 were tightly drawn, not letting in a sliver of light, and snores rose from inside.
Yu Zhanrong was woken up by his phone vibrating. He fumbled blindly on the bed, his eyes closed.
Okay, found it.
He’d doze for another two minutes before looking.
He closed his eyes, turned off the alarm, and continued to sleep, feeling like he’d forgotten something. He suddenly opened his eyes.
He remembered, he had made an appointment with Song Baiyan before going to sleep. The sleepiness vanished completely, and Yu Zhanrong grabbed his phone and suddenly sat up in bed.
He was going to deliver souvenirs to Song Baiyan!
And livestream it.
The dorm was pitch black, and the others were still asleep. Yu Zhanrong got out of bed quietly, changed his clothes, picked up the things he had prepared in advance, and hurried towards the apartment.
Song Baiyan waited at home for a while, and only got up when he heard the doorbell.
“…”
“Why so much?” Song Baiyan took the things, his arm sinking down. He glanced at the marks on Yu Zhanrong’s hand, and pursed his lips.
Yu Zhanrong shook his hand. He hadn’t felt uncomfortable carrying it all the way, but he only felt his hand was numb when he let go.
“It’s okay, I bought a lot, and I’ll send some more home tomorrow.”
Song Baiyan led him into the house, “Then do you want me to send you back tomorrow?”
Yu Zhanrong wanted to say that his family had a driver who could pick him up, but he swallowed the words back. He nodded and said, “That would be great, thank you, Senior Brother.”
Well, he should let Old Wu rest, give him a day off.
“How did you bring so many things back from Yun City?”
Yu Zhanrong touched his nose embarrassedly, “I filled up my roommates’ suitcases.”
Boys didn’t have much luggage when they went out, and they all made room in half their suitcases for Yu Zhanrong to pack souvenirs, so he could bring back so much.
Song Baiyan smiled when he heard this. It seemed that he really got along well with his roommates.
Seeing him sitting obediently on the sofa, he couldn’t help but pat the top of his head, “Have you had dinner?”
Yu Zhanrong shook his head. He had come over as soon as he woke up, and hadn’t had time to eat dinner. He felt a little hungry when he asked, and couldn’t help reaching out and touching his flat stomach.
“I haven’t eaten either. How about noodles?”
“Okay.”
Watching Song Baiyan walk towards the kitchen while naturally rolling up his sleeves, Yu Zhanrong sat on the sofa, watching his back, his eyes narrowed.
Ahhh!
Such strong husband material vibes!
He could give him his life!
This was a new line he learned from the radio drama script of “Slowly Loving You,” very suitable for the current scene. He hoped he could succeed in the audition.
Yu Zhanrong flopped onto the sofa, and sat up straight immediately, afraid of being seen by Song Baiyan, the corners of his mouth unable to be suppressed.
Song Baiyan turned back and glanced at the person on the sofa before stepping into the kitchen, meeting someone’s smiling eyes and sweet dimples.
So well behaved.
