    Chapter 89: Given!

Song Huaixi’s dejected little face relaxed after hearing his words.

He pursed his red lips and looked up at him, his dark eyes shining brightly.

    “Okay, I understand.”

He bent his slender fingers and gently scraped the bridge of his nose. Zhao Fangye pinched his cheeks: “Did you eat well while I was gone? Why are you still so thin?”

When he first came to the Ning Wang Mansion, Zhao Fangye saw that his face still had some baby fat. His eyes were bright and sparkling, and his youthful appearance didn’t look like someone who had come of age.

Unexpectedly, after only a year, the flesh on Song Huaixi’s face had diminished. His face lost its baby fat and looked even more delicate.

He was like a blooming white gardenia, with less of a sense of immaturity.

Grasping Zhao Fangye’s hand on his face, he rubbed it affectionately. Song Huaixi didn’t seem to notice.

“I listened to you every day and ate well. I haven’t lost weight.” He said, touching his little belly: “I think I’ve gained a little weight.”

The servants received Zhao Fangye’s instructions and made delicious food for Song Huaixi every day in different ways. Although Hanzhou is still a bit poor now.

But Song Huaixi has never lacked food and clothing.

With Zhao Fangye’s financial resources, Song Huaixi only suffered a little on the road. The rest of the time, he lived a very comfortable life.

    “Is that so?”

Zhao Fangye chuckled softly, his voice ambiguous, and reached out to cover his lower abdomen: “Let your husband feel it.”

Moving his hand away to let him feel, Song Huaixi had no guard up at all, trusting him like a little cat exposing its belly.

Zhao Fangye lowered his eyes and rubbed his thin belly, then withdrew his hand and said, “Still too thin. Huaixi, eat more and don’t save rations for me. Your husband has plenty of money.”

Mimicking his movements, Song Huaixi lay in his arms and reached out to pinch his face as well.

“Okay, okay, Father and Mother said you are very busy, you must eat well too.”

Song Huaixi’s actions made him raise his eyebrows slightly. No one had ever done this to him before.

The feeling was very strange, and warmth spread through his heart.

Holding his waist and letting him sit on his lap, Zhao Fangye’s lips touched his eyelid, and he hugged him tightly into his arms.

His voice paused slightly: “I know.”

After meeting Song Huaixi, Zhao Fangye felt grateful more than once. It allowed him, an abandoned and incomplete person, to experience the taste of being loved.

Song Huaixi was a ray of light, a stone. It illuminated his empty, dark, and hate-filled heart for many years, and also filled the missing part of his heart, allowing him to become a complete person.

After this day, Zhao Fangye was still very busy.

Zhao Fangye’s open rebellion enraged the emperor, and the entire court was shocked. What was even more troublesome was that Zhao Fangye was so bold as to break into the Eastern Palace and kidnap the Crown Prince Zhao Jingshuo as a threat.

Now the two forces were balanced once again. The Crown Prince Zhao Jingshuo’s faction accused the Chancellor of treason but did not dare to press too hard. Once something happened to the Crown Prince Zhao Jingshuo, the chips in their hands would completely disappear.

The Chancellor, in order to show his loyalty, had already severed relations with Zhao Fangye in court and voluntarily resigned from the position of Chancellor.

But everyone in the court understood that this was just a facade. Even if the Chancellor was not in court, his power was still there.

Sitting behind the desk, Zhao Fangye listened to his subordinates reporting the news.

“Ning Wang Zhao Fangye, scouts report that the pursuers sent by the court are approaching Hanzhou. Should we retreat to the Northwest?”

His well-defined fingers lightly tapped the table. Zhao Fangye’s expression was calm: “Is there any news from the Northwest?”

“News from the Northwest says that everything is ready, waiting for Ning Wang Zhao Fangye’s order. Also, the people sent to find Deputy General Sun Shu have arrived, but they haven’t found any trace of Deputy General Sun Shu and his men.”

“Okay, set off for the Northwest the day after tomorrow.” Zhao Fangye raised his eyes to look out the window. It was already noon.

He had promised Song Huaixi that he would have lunch with him every day.

“Ning Wang Zhao Fangye, there is one more thing…”

The subordinate still had something to report and was about to step forward when he saw Zhao Fangye raise his hand and stand up from his chair.

He said lightly: “We’ll discuss it later.”

He got up and walked out of the room: “Everyone, go and prepare.”

The servants placed exquisite dishes in front of the two of them.

Song Huaixi sat next to Zhao Fangye, resting his chopsticks in a daze.

Zhao Fangye picked up a piece of goose breast and placed it in Song Huaixi’s bowl. He looked at his empty face and asked softly: “What is Huaixi thinking about?”

Coming back to his senses, Song Huaixi bit his chopsticks and looked at him, somewhat troubled: “Father said to find something I like to do, but I don’t know what I like to do.”

    “Something you like to do?”

Zhao Fangye continued to put food in his bowl, and after a moment of thought, he understood Song Zigen’s good intentions.

“Eat first, it’s not too late to think about it after you finish eating.” Zhao Fangye picked up a piece of meat and fed it to his mouth: “Open your mouth.”

Zhao Fangye knew that Song Huaixi was picky about food and always picked vegetables and pastries to eat. No wonder he didn’t gain weight. As long as he was there, he would coax him to eat more meat.

Opening his mouth to accept it, Song Huaixi chewed it in his mouth. The meat was firm and well-seasoned. He didn’t reject it and ate a few bites in a row from his chopsticks.

Feeling a little greasy, Zhao Fangye wouldn’t feed him anymore.

Zhao Fangye put the meat in his own bowl and put vegetables on his lips.

“Zhao Fangye, do you have anything you like to do?” Song Huaixi asked curiously while accepting his feeding.

He really wanted to know what Zhao Fangye liked to do.

    “No.”

Zhao Fangye’s expression was indifferent, and he wiped the oil stains from the corners of Song Huaixi’s mouth with a handkerchief.

There was no emotion in his eyes.

He had been like a hollow man all his life, being used and controlled. As for things he liked to do, he had long been unable to care about.

Just being able to survive had exhausted all his strength.

He thought that Song Huaixi would be disappointed to hear such an answer. But he didn’t expect him to grab Zhao Fangye’s hand to his lips with both hands.

His tone was innocent and excited: “That’s great! I don’t either. Then we can go find things we want to do together!”

“We can do so many things together…”

He was very happy to think that he could do many things with Zhao Fangye that he had never tried before. It was like opening the door to a new world.

Zhao Fangye’s light-colored eyes were stunned for a moment, and he gazed at Song Huaixi, who was full of longing, with a slight smile.

Things he liked to do? It sounded pretty good.

After accompanying Song Huaixi to finish his meal, Zhao Fangye sent Song Huaixi back to his room for a nap.

Sitting on the bed, Song Huaixi hugged Zhao Fangye and wouldn’t let go, pouting and acting coquettishly: “Want a kiss.”

His eyes darkened, and he looked at his beautiful face. Zhao Fangye pinched his chin and chuckled: “Is Huaixi being coquettish?”

His face was a little red, but Song Huaixi boldly said without embarrassment: “Kiss me. Zhao Fangye…”

These few days, Zhao Fangye had been very busy and came back very late at night. Song Huaixi and he hadn’t been intimate for a few days.

He never wronged himself. He would say directly what he wanted to do.

    “Really?”

Song Huaixi pouted and wanted to kiss him, but Zhao Fangye tilted his head to avoid him. He was deliberately teasing him.

    “Really!”

He nodded quickly. Song Huaixi’s gaze on his face was a little hot.

Zhao Fangye’s light-colored eyes glanced at him, and his gaze gradually became deeper. He pinched the back of his neck and leaned close to his ear. His voice contained danger.

“Huaixi, what I want is not just a kiss, are you willing to give it?”

Song Huaixi nodded like a chicken pecking at rice: “Given!”
