Chapter Index

The others naturally had no objections. Zhang Yunxi skipped upstairs and quickly brought down the cards.

While dealing the cards, Zhang Yunxi explained the rules, “Let me think… the rules are simple. There are three different cards in total. The one who draws the Head Goose card draws two more Goose cards, then creates a story and performs it for the next Goose. The White Goose guesses based on the performance, and then the performance continues down the line.”

“The last Goose must reconstruct the story and identify the performance cards drawn by the Head Goose. Be warned—there will be two Evil Geese causing trouble, and everyone must find them!”

“In the end, the person who reconstructs the story most successfully and identifies the Evil Geese wins. The Evil Geese must accept a dare. Conversely, the White Geese who fail to reconstruct the story or guess incorrectly receive a penalty. If the Evil Geese also successfully reconstruct the story, they avoid the penalty. Most importantly, during the reconstruction process, no one can speak, only honk like a goose and use gestures.”

“Does everyone understand?” Zhang Yunxi shuffled the deck, looking at the others.

    Everyone nodded, indicating they understood.

So, Zhang Yunxi began distributing the identity cards.

“Who is the Head Goose?” Wang Mo asked curiously.

Wen Mian glanced at the card in her hand and reluctantly held out her hand. “It’s me.”

Zhang Yunxi burst out laughing. “Haha! Then you need to draw two more cards.”

Wen Mian nodded and randomly picked two cards. One was a goose with two pigtails, abdominal muscles, a tail, wearing black pants, and surrounded by lightning; the other was a goose spitting golden light and surrounded by clouds.

After thinking for a moment, Wen Mian lightly coughed. “I’ve decided. Do I perform for the person closest to me?”

Zhang Yunxi looked at Gu Man and Wang Mo on either side of Wen Mian, her eyes lighting up, eager for drama. “Then Mian Mian, why don’t you perform for Jie Gu Man first!”

Wen Mian nodded. “Alright, then everyone close your eyes.”

    Everyone obediently closed their eyes.

Wen Mian turned to face Gu Man. After some thought, she finally stood up.

She hopped, kicking out her left leg, bending her right leg backward, spreading her two arms one up and one down, twisting her body to look at Gu Man, signaling with her eyes, and continuously honking, “Ge ge!”

Gu Man nodded, but didn’t honk.

Wen Mian continued, pointing to the sky and striking a Bodhisattva pose. “Ge ge!”

    Gu Man continued to nod.

Wen Mian nodded, then collapsed onto the sofa. She held up two fingers on one hand and plunged them straight toward her chest, then gave two weak coughs.

Zhang Yunxi gasped, then warned with a laugh, “No talking allowed!”

Wen Mian froze for a second, then smiled and honked softly.

    Everyone was immediately amused.

Wang Mo laughed and asked, “How difficult is it? Why does Mian Mian look like she’s putting so much effort into it?”

Wen Mian made a face of suffering, nodding in agreement, then looked at Gu Man. Gu Man continued to nod.

Sighing, Wen Mian stood up again, adopting a villainous expression, her eyes sharp, looking askance at Gu Man, then making a ‘six’ sign with both hands above her head.

She then rubbed her stomach, her eyes holding three parts mockery, three parts disdain, and four parts nonchalance, adopting the look of a tyrannical CEO with a crooked mouth.

Gu Man still nodded, indicating understanding.

Wen Mian crossed her arms, staring directly at Gu Man, confused. “Ge ge ge?” Do you really understand? Respond.

Gu Man nodded, but seeing Wen Mian’s disbelief, her ear tips flushed slightly pink. She hesitated, then firmly honked, “Ge!”

Her usual coldness was shattered by the sudden “Ge,” which carried a hint of sweetness.

Wen Mian burst out laughing, then immediately covered her mouth, a string of “ge ge ge” laughter escaping.

Gu Man shyly looked away, falling silent.

Wen Mian nodded, making an “ok” sign with her hand, indicating the performance was over.

Then, like someone watching a show, she looked at Gu Man with cat-like curiosity, wondering how she would perform.

A trace of helplessness crossed Gu Man’s eyes. “Wang Mo.”

Wang Mo opened her eyes. The two looked at each other, momentarily speechless.

Gu Man stood up and imitated Wen Mian’s posture.

She was tall and graceful, and the inherently comical movements looked sophisticated on her, beautiful enough to walk the red carpet at Cannes.

Finally, when it came to imitating the tyrannical CEO’s actions, Gu Man paused for a second.

Wen Mian was laughing so hard she couldn’t straighten up, but her eyes were still fixed on Gu Man.

To her disappointment, Gu Man didn’t display the CEO’s signature fan-shaped eyes. Instead, she pointed at Wen Mian.

Wang Mo looked at Wen Mian, puzzled. “Ge?”

Gu Man nodded, then tapped her phone.

After completing all the imitations, Wen Mian nodded to signal the end. Wang Mo looked utterly confused, honking “ge ge” twice in doubt.

Gu Man’s eyes were firm. Yes, that was it.

Wang Mo’s mind was a blank slate. She numbly poked Su Shiqiu’s arm and began her “ge ge” performance.

After everyone had performed, many actions had been lost. Wen Mian’s gestures of pointing to the sky and flexing her abs were gone, and the ‘six’ hand sign had turned into a fist.

Finally, Song Xue began the reverse deduction. She looked at the six Goose cards on the table, thought for a long time, and finally picked out a Frizzy Goose and a Lightning-Spitting Cloud-Riding Goose.

“Based on my deduction, the story should be that this… goose surrounded by mist was struck dead by lightning, and then its feathers became frizzy.”

Wen Mian’s eyes were full of laughter, and Zhang Yunxi was even less reserved, laughing out loud.

“No, that’s not how I performed it!”

Su Shiqiu laughed and chimed in, “Then how did you guess?”

Zhang Yunxi took out the two cards she had guessed. She had gotten them right. Then she gestured with both hands. “It’s like this—the White Goose is a love-struck fool. It wants to show affection to this… let’s call it the Black Goose. But the Black Goose looks down on it, so it unleashes lightning, which is why the Black Goose is surrounded by lightning.”

After speaking, Zhang Yunxi looked at everyone with sparkling eyes, her tone elevated. “Doesn’t my guess make sense!”

Wen Mian was momentarily speechless on how to comment. She managed a difficult nod of praise. “It makes sense. You have the cause and effect.”

Zhang Yunxi immediately thought she had guessed correctly and proudly lifted her chin.

Su Shiqiu was laughing so hard her stomach hurt. Wiping away tears of laughter from the corners of her eyes, she gave a thumbs-up. “Impressive! Hearing you say that makes me feel like I guessed wrong.”

Zhang Yunxi wasn’t having it. She gave a heavy snort, feigning anger. “Then tell us how you guessed.”

Seeing Zhang Yunxi slightly annoyed, Su Shiqiu immediately shrank her neck and nodded flatteringly. “Hehe, Xi Xi’s guess is indeed good. I think that’s exactly how it is.”

Zhang Yunxi snorted again, crossing her arms and ignoring her. “Flattering me won’t work now. I want to see how you guessed!”

Su Shiqiu awkwardly rolled her eyes. Meeting Wen Mian’s gaze, she gave an embarrassed smile before saying, “I also guessed these two cards. As for the story—this White Goose and this Black Goose are actually twins, but the two of them… the two geese can’t stand each other. On this day, the sky was dark and overcast, and the two geese started fighting again. But accidentally, the Black Goose killed the White Goose. It decided to go all the way, absorbing the White Goose’s power and becoming… the boss!”

As Su Shiqiu spoke her guess, Zhang Yunxi slowly turned around. She stared for a moment, then slowly uttered, “Qiu Qiu, I suddenly think your imagination is truly vast…”
