    Chapter 50: Exchanging Rings

When Li Chongge walked into Qin Yuanging’s office in a grand manner, Secretary Bai was still dozing off at her desk, completely unaware that someone had entered her boss’s office.

Qin Yuanging was busy, and he caught a glimpse of a figure moving in his peripheral vision, thinking it was Secretary Bai.

“Bring me a cup of coffee.”

“Why are you drinking coffee so early in the morning? Didn’t sleep well last night?”

He not only didn’t sleep well, but Qin Yuanging barely slept a wink all night because he was too happy.

Hearing Li Chongge’s voice, Qin Yuanging looked up in surprise and quickly put down the documents in his hand to get up.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?”

Because the weather was gradually getting colder, Qin Yuanging had added a vest over his shirt, making his flat waist and abdomen appear even more trim. Li Chongge’s gaze slowly and intently swept over him, finally landing on Qin Yuanging’s lips.

“I came to see if your tongue is healed.”

It was clearly a flirtatious remark, but coming from Li Chongge’s mouth, it sounded very serious and proper.

Qin Yuanging even wondered if Li Chongge really thought his tongue was broken.

“Come here and let me see.”

Li Chongge casually locked the office door and directly grabbed Qin Yuanging’s chin.

Qin Yuanging slightly raised his head, deliberately dodging Li Chongge’s fingertips, a mischievous smile brewing in his eyes.

“It’s already healed, no need to look.”

Li Chongge still wore a serious expression: “Qin Yuanging, you’re avoiding treatment, that’s not good.”

“Then call your personal doctor and have him take a look at me?”

The corners of Li Chongge’s mouth drooped slightly, clearly dissatisfied with Qin Yuanging’s answer.

So Qin Yuanging took the initiative to hook Li Chongge’s finger, glanced at the door like a thief, lightly imprinted a kiss on Li Chongge’s lips, but immediately withdrew before he could react.

“I’ll make it up to you after work tonight.”

Li Chongge saw through the shyness hidden beneath Qin Yuanging’s boldness, how could he disagree?

Perhaps because he was born into an overly happy and fulfilling family, Qin Yuanging, despite having a very clever mind, seemed very naive in some matters.

While his peers were starting to date and even indulge in extravagant lifestyles, Qin Yuanging was wholeheartedly devoted to his models, not to mention being moved by someone, he wouldn’t even glance at pretty girls.

This made Li Chongge even more troubled.

Qin Yuanging didn’t like others, nor did he like him. He had neither the courage to move forward nor the reason to retreat.

So Li Chongge knew that no matter how calm and indifferent Qin Yuanging appeared on the surface, he was practically a blank slate when it came to knowledge and experience in this area.

Li Chongge was gratified and secretly excited.

“Okay, then let’s have dinner together after work tonight.”

The tips of Qin Yuanging’s ears were slightly hot, and he forced himself to remain calm as he asked, “You’re so busy, you came back specifically, it must be for something important, right?”

“There is one thing.” Li Chongge took out a small box from his coat pocket. “Give me your hand.”

Li Chongge took out a ring. The style was similar to the one Qin Yuanging had chosen for him last time, both being platinum inlaid with diamonds. The difference was that this one was more delicate and exquisite, very suitable for Qin Yuanging’s aloof temperament.

Just as the ring was about to be placed on Qin Yuanging’s finger, he quickly retracted his hand. Under Li Chongge’s confused gaze, he returned to his desk, took out a small square box, and removed the ring he had bought earlier.

“Look, I prepared one for you too, let’s exchange.”

Li Chongge quietly looked at the ring on Qin Yuanging’s hand and asked, “When did you buy this?”

“The night you misunderstood me.” Qin Yuanging’s eyes carried a hint of condemnation. “I was thinking of bringing you a gift, but you wronged me.”

After Li Chongge apologized again, he asked, “Is this the compensation you originally intended to give me?”

Qin Yuanging emphasized, “This isn’t compensation, it’s just a gift I brought back for you from my business trip.”

In Qin Yuanging’s view, things that could be bought with money didn’t count as compensation.

“Thank you, then what is my compensation?”

Qin Yuanging found it incredibly absurd: “You wronged me, and you’re asking me for compensation?”

“One thing is separate from another. I misunderstood you, so I apologize and offer compensation. But the compensation you owed me earlier still counts.”

Qin Yuanging chuckled, folded his arms, and asked, “What kind of compensation do you want?”

    “Anything is okay?”

Qin Yuanging nodded seriously, “As long as it’s what you want, anything is okay.”

No matter what it was, Qin Yuanging was willing to accept it gladly, as long as Li Chongge liked it.

“Let me think about it, but for now, please put on the ring, okay?”

At the moment Qin Yuanging suddenly retracted his hand, Li Chongge was a little scared.

Afraid that Qin Yuanging would change his mind.

The two exchanged rings and put them on each other. The sizes were perfect, and they were both very satisfied.

Li Chongge squeezed Qin Yuanging’s fingertips.

    “See you tonight.”

Seeing that Li Chongge was about to leave, Qin Yuanging reluctantly scratched his palm.

“Isn’t it more romantic to give the ring tonight? You had to come early in the morning, and you’re leaving after a short while. Aren’t you deliberately… deliberately delaying my work?”

Li Chongge’s palm was tickled and itchy, as if Qin Yuanging’s fingertips were touching his heart directly.

Using some force, Li Chongge grabbed his mischievous hand.

“I not only wanted to give you the ring, but I also wanted to see you.”

Li Chongge’s expression was too gentle, blurring Qin Yuanging’s mind, and he couldn’t help but take the initiative to lean in.

“Since you went to the trouble of making a trip, I can’t let you come in vain.”

How could it be in vain? He received a light kiss and a ring, both of which he liked very much.

But Li Chongge wasn’t polite with him because of this.

Li Chongge was born with a desire for control, which was also reflected in kissing.

Qin Yuanging’s waist was held in one hand and his head was supported by the other, completely led into Li Chongge’s rhythm, and he could only choose to respond actively or not so actively.

Because once Qin Yuanging stopped responding, Li Chongge would stop.

It wasn’t until Secretary Bai started knocking on the door outside that Qin Yuanging gently pushed him away.

    “You should go.”

Li Chongge took a deep look at Qin Yuanging’s lips, which were glistening and moist from being licked, and resisted the urge to lower his head and bite them.

“I’ll pick you up after work this afternoon.”

Qin Yuanging breathed slightly and straightened Li Chongge’s collar, which was slightly disheveled from being grabbed by him.

“Come early, I’ll try to finish up a little earlier.”

    “Okay.”

Li Chongge rubbed Qin Yuanging’s earlobe with his thumb, opened the door, glanced coldly at Secretary Bai, whose hand was still raised in mid-air, and walked away.

Secretary Bai stared blankly at Li Chongge’s back, wondering if she was still dreaming.

“What are you doing standing at the door? You almost broke the door, it better be something important!”

Qin Yuanging, who had been interrupted, was also a little irritable.

    Secretary Bai was confused.

“Qin, Mr. Li, when did he come?”

    Qin Yuanging laughed in anger.

“You’re asking me? Weren’t you outside the whole time? Don’t you know?”

Secretary Bai handed the documents to Qin Yuanging’s desk, very skillfully exonerating herself: “I went to the restroom earlier, Mr. Li probably came at that time.”

Qin Yuanging was too lazy to listen to her excuses.

“In the future, if he comes again, put everything else on hold, don’t knock on the door! If anyone comes to see me, tell them to wait, understand?”

    “Yes, Qin.”
