    Chapter 26: An Unqualified Admirer

Qin Yuanging had a great time fishing, but his fishing skills were truly worrisome. He only caught two greenlings before returning in defeat.

Because they hadn’t had enough fun, their original return time was delayed, and the group didn’t get back to the villa for lunch until 2 PM.

It was at this time that Qin Yuanging realized his arms were sunburned, with the uncovered areas red and hot.

Qin Yuanging probably inherited Yu Keci’s good skin; his skin was very fair and didn’t tan easily.

Because his skin was fair, the sunburned areas on his arms were even more noticeable.

However, Qin Yuanging didn’t care too much. For a man, a sunburn was no big deal.

He and Li Chongge returned to their room to take a nap.

“Go wash your hands and come here.”

Qin Yuanging watched as Li Chongge took a small, palm-sized medicine box out of his luggage and retrieved a tube of ointment from it.

Seeing Qin Yuanging standing there without moving, Li Chongge patiently explained, “This is sunburn cream. Your arms are sunburned. Didn’t you put on sunscreen before going out?”

Qin Yuanging obediently went to the bathroom, washed his hands, and sat down in a chair on the balcony.

“How did you remember to bring this?”

Li Chongge also washed his hands, took the ointment, pulled another chair over, and sat opposite Qin Yuanging.

“Secretary Liu always prepares some common medicines based on where I’m going. What about you? Didn’t your Secretary Bai prepare anything for you?”

    Qin Yuanging was speechless.

He couldn’t help but sigh again at the difference between secretaries.

Qin Yuanging reached out to take the ointment, but Li Chongge avoided his hand.

    “Let me help you.”

Li Chongge squeezed the ointment onto his fingertip, gently rubbed it open, and carefully applied it to the red areas of Qin Yuanging’s arm.

His lowered eyes were focused and gentle.

Qin Yuanging turned his gaze away uncomfortably. The places touched by Li Chongge’s fingertips sent waves of tingling sensations from his skin all the way to his heart.

“Remember to put on sunscreen before going to the beach later.”

    “Okay.”

After the ointment was carefully applied to Qin Yuanging’s arm, the burning sensation immediately lessened.

    “Thank you.”

Qin Yuanging felt that he was a somewhat unqualified admirer. Most of the time, Li Chongge took better care of him.

“Qin Yuanging, you don’t need to thank me.”

    Never need to.

Qin Yuanging hadn’t slept well last night, and his mind was in a mess. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

Li Chongge stood by the bed, staring at him for several minutes, before taking his computer to the balcony to work.

Li Chongge was very busy. Even on vacation, he couldn’t completely abandon his work.

During this time, Zhang Zhaolin came to knock on the door once, asking Qin Yuanging to come down and play cards.

“He’s still resting. I’ll tell him when he wakes up.”

Li Chongge blocked the doorway. Zhang Zhaolin only vaguely saw a bulge in the blanket on the bed.

“Okay. If Mr. Li finishes his work, come down and play too. They all want to play a few rounds with you.”

Even though Li Chongge was the same age as them, out of respect and politeness, they would only call Li Chongge Mr. Li. They wouldn’t call him by his given name like Qin Yuanging did.

Li Chongge politely agreed and closed the door very gently.

As he passed the bedside, he couldn’t resist stopping. After hesitating for a few seconds, he lay down next to Qin Yuanging, intending to take a nap with him.

Opportunities for Qin Yuanging to lie quietly beside him were rare.

But when his gaze moved to Qin Yuanging’s still-red arm, Li Chongge sat up again.

Qin Yuanging woke up and saw that it was almost four o’clock.

He had slept for almost an hour and a half!

Qin Yuanging hadn’t set an alarm because he thought Li Chongge would wake him up.

But not only did Li Chongge not wake him, but he wasn’t even in the room.

    Qin Yuanging inexplicably felt abandoned.

He sat up, hesitated, and then called Li Chongge.

    No one answered.

Qin Yuanging didn’t call again. He got out of bed, poured himself a cup of hot water, and sat on the balcony, looking at the sea.

Twenty minutes later, Li Chongge still hadn’t returned the call.

Qin Yuanging maintained his hard-line stance for less than half an hour before his little temper subsided.

He called again, but still no one answered.

Qin Yuanging couldn’t sit still any longer and went downstairs to find him.

Just as he stood up, Li Chongge finally called back.

    “Are you awake?”

Li Chongge’s surroundings were quiet. Qin Yuanging didn’t hear any noise.

“Yeah, I’m awake. Where are you?”

“I went to a nearby mall to buy you sunscreen and a sun-protective shirt. I forgot my phone in the car and didn’t get your call. I’ll be there in half an hour. Go down and play if you’re done sleeping. Zhang Zhaolin came to find you earlier.”

    Qin Yuanging’s mood improved.

“We’re going back the day after tomorrow. Why are you buying these things?”

Li Chongge put the bags in the car while answering the phone.

    “I’m bored anyway. It’s nothing.”

The two ended the call. Qin Yuanging got up to get dressed and go downstairs when he found a note that Li Chongge had left for him on the bedside table, which Qin Yuanging hadn’t noticed earlier.

Qin Yuanging tore off the note, folded it carefully, and put it in his shirt pocket.

The villa’s entertainment facilities were quite complete. There was a billiards room, a chess room, and even a multi-functional screening room, but Qin Yuanging was only interested in mahjong right now.

Seeing him arrive late, Deng Weien threw out a mahjong tile and took the initiative to get up.

    “Come, sit here.”

Qin Yuanging didn’t refuse and sat down to play.

To Qin Yuanging’s left was Zhang Zhaolin, and Tang Jingxuan was sitting next to Zhang Zhaolin, watching him play.

“You can really sleep. I went up to find you earlier, but you didn’t wake up.”

“I didn’t sleep well last night, so I took a nap. You could have just called me.”

Tang Jingxuan’s position was equivalent to being in the middle of Zhang Zhaolin and Qin Yuanging, so occasionally Tang Jingxuan would lean over to look at Qin Yuanging’s tiles.

Qin Yuanging wasn’t having good luck this afternoon and lost several games in a row.

“Mr. Qin, would you like some tea? I’ll pour you a cup.”

Noticing that the tea next to Qin Yuanging was Deng Weien’s, Tang Jingxuan offered proactively.

“No need, thank you. I’ll have someone…”

“Qin Yuanging, let Tang Jingxuan go. He’s bored sitting there. No need to be so polite.”

Zhang Zhaolin patted Tang Jingxuan on the back of the neck affectionately, signaling him to go ahead.

Since Tang Jingxuan had already stood up, Qin Yuanging couldn’t refuse and thanked him again before letting him go.

There wasn’t much tea left in the chess room, so Tang Jingxuan simply went out to get new tea leaves. He hadn’t walked far when he met Li Chongge, who had just returned from outside.

Li Chongge was tall and slender. Even though he wasn’t wearing a suit and tie, he still had a natural air of authority. He was looking down at his phone, sending a message to Qin Yuanging, asking if he was still in the room, and didn’t notice Tang Jingxuan walking towards him.

Tang Jingxuan took the initiative to greet him, “Mr. Li, would you like some tea? I’m just about to make a cup of tea for Mr. Qin. Should I make one for you too?”

Li Chongge raised his head and glanced at Tang Jingxuan, who was smiling.

Still a white T-shirt and blue jeans, looking very gentle and young…

Was this what Qin Yuanging liked?

    “No, thank you.”

Li Chongge deleted the words he had just typed. He already knew where Qin Yuanging was and didn’t need to ask.

“He doesn’t need it either. I’ll bring him a cup down.”

Li Chongge’s tone was still relatively gentle. He nodded to Tang Jingxuan and went upstairs with two bags.

Qin Yuanging was engrossed in the game. A familiar and pleasant scent flashed past his nose. He subconsciously turned his head and, sure enough, Li Chongge was standing behind him.

    “You’re back.”

Qin Yuanging’s tone was light and cheerful, but because his hand was good, no one noticed anything amiss.

“What would you like to drink, orange juice or coconut juice?”

When Qin Yuanging was relaxing, he preferred juice to tea.

    “Coconut juice.”

Li Chongge went out to get the coconut juice. Tang Jingxuan had also returned and refilled everyone’s water, but he didn’t ask Qin Yuanging if he wanted more tea.

His upbringing made him more sensitive to certain things, so he didn’t bother to make a fool of himself.

After Li Chongge brought Qin Yuanging the coconut juice, he didn’t stay to play cards with him but went upstairs to work.

Qin Yuanging instantly lost interest and called Deng Weien, who was playing billiards on the other side, back.

Not long after Li Chongge returned to the room, Qin Yuanging leaned against the door and asked him, “Want to go for a walk on the beach?”

Li Chongge closed his computer and smiled at him.

    “Let’s go.”
