Zhou Lingchun glanced at Liansheng, his hand stroking the exposed flesh of Liansheng’s thigh, his eyes holding a hint of wolf-like danger. He obediently lowered his head and ate the green lotus pod Liansheng had forcefully shoved into his hand, finishing by licking Liansheng’s fingers.

“You’re not listening,” Liansheng scolded, tightening the grip of his other hand which held something. Seeing Zhou Lingchun frown, he smugly pinched a sweet lotus seed between his fingers, held it up in the air, and said, “Look carefully and eat this one instead.”

His mannerisms and tone truly resembled someone in the village training a dog.

If it were anyone else, Zhou Lingchun would have long since knocked them to the ground with one arm, leaving them unable to get up for a long time. But this was his wife. The tiny bit of strength he had was used on the wrong target. Zhou Lingchun felt his entire body heating up from Liansheng’s touch, yet he still leaned in like a dog catching a bone and ate the lotus seed.

Even though he was being disobedient, he still sucked Liansheng’s finger into his mouth.

Is there any justice left in the world! Liansheng was furious, his eyes showing a desperate urgency. He used real force on his hand and said, “Don’t lick my hand.”

Zhou Lingchun grunted, took a breath, and pried the finger out of his mouth. He grabbed both of Liansheng’s wrists with one hand, while the other hand reached between Liansheng’s legs. A thick, hard finger bent, the knuckle pressing against Liansheng’s sensitive spot, giving it a few prods. “You really dare treat your man like a dog.”

He had intended to teach Liansheng a lesson, but now it seemed he was the one being disciplined. Liansheng refused to accept this. His body, half the size of Zhou Lingchun’s, twisted and turned, trying desperately to break free. He yelled, “I didn’t treat you like a dog! What’s wrong with me teaching you a lesson? Is that not allowed? If you don’t discipline the men in the house, they’ll be climbing onto the roof and tearing off the tiles in two days.”

Zhou Lingchun frowned: “Stop eavesdropping on all that nonsense gossip in the village.”

Liansheng continued, “What gossip? This is true wisdom I’ve written down. If I teach my man to be obedient, I’ll have face when I walk around the village. If you treat me like this today, how am I supposed to show my face in the village later? I won’t leave the house anymore, I feel too embarrassed.”

What kind of logic was this?

Zhou Lingchun said, “And I’m not embarrassed?”

Liansheng blinked, burrowing into Zhou Lingchun’s arms like he was throwing a tantrum. Though they were already close, he insisted on pressing tightly against him. “I don’t care, I don’t care. What’s embarrassing about doting on your wife? Do you feel embarrassed being with me?”

The conversation had devolved into a tangled mess. Zhou Lingchun chuckled softly, looking at Liansheng’s feigned meekness. He thought that if Liansheng’s claws were sharp, so be it; the scratching made his heart itch.

He released Liansheng’s hands and said, “Go on and cause trouble. You just have to ride on my head.”

After all that commotion, both of them were sweating a little. Zhou Lingchun’s lower half was still swollen and wouldn’t subside anytime soon. All around them were extremely tall lotus leaves, providing perfect concealment. There was no sign of anyone, and even if someone passed by, they wouldn’t notice anything. Zhou Lingchun had intentions. He touched Liansheng’s lower region, which had become wet at some point. Seeing Liansheng’s flushed face, he knew Liansheng had gotten aroused. So he pulled down Liansheng’s underwear and slipped a finger inside, intending to be discreet.

To his surprise, Liansheng refused to stop. He pressed his hands against Zhou Lingchun’s chest, pushing him down onto the boat. His pair of bright black eyes were misty with moisture. Spoiled and arrogant, he looked down and said, “You hurt me so much. Your punishment is to serve me first.”

“Otherwise, you won’t feel good either!”

Zhou Lingchun raised an eyebrow, his hand supporting Liansheng’s waist, but he didn’t speak.

Liansheng then knelt and scooted forward, exposing his wet little cunt, and sat down on Zhou Lingchun’s face. The man’s high nose bridge rubbed against Liansheng’s clitoris. Liansheng gripped the man’s hair with both hands, squinting his eyes as he gasped for breath, feeling quite satisfied. “Hmph, I want to ride on your head, and I want you to lick me.”

The man’s face was squeezed by Liansheng’s thighs, his nose tip filled with the musky scent of the cunt. He grabbed Liansheng’s thighs and then fiercely began to suck and eat the cunt.

Liansheng felt his whole body go soft with pleasure. He thought that if Zhou Lingchun couldn’t be taught, then he could only seek some sweetness from the man himself. It was better than the man constantly seeking sweetness from him. Hmph, how dare he lay a hand on him? He absolutely had to punish him severely. He thrust his hips, grinding hard against the man’s tongue a few times. After only a few grinds, he lost control and spurted water, biting his lip and letting out a soft moan that was covered by the rustling sound of the wind blowing through the lotus leaves. The skirt he was wearing piled up and covered the man’s face. Zhou Lingchun held onto Liansheng’s thighs, his tongue swirling around in the folds of flesh, then enclosing the protruding clitoris and sucking hard.

Liansheng instantly couldn’t take it anymore. He felt a tingling numbness below that spread to his legs, making them immobile. His whole body trembled. His weak hands grabbed Zhou Lingchun’s hair, commanding, “Stop eating, you’ll ruin it…”

The man didn’t listen at all, licking even more vigorously, clearly intending to teach Liansheng a lesson with his mouth right there. Liansheng couldn’t hit him or scold him, but Zhou Lingchun had plenty of ways to discipline someone. Liansheng arched his back but couldn’t escape, gasping for air with his mouth open. Sweat streamed down his flushed cheeks. He felt like he was going to die.

Only then did Zhou Lingchun stop. He sat up and held Liansheng in his arms, casually wiping the moisture from the corner of his lips. Liansheng whimpered softly, saying that punishing Zhou Lingchun had ended up punishing himself badly; he felt electricity constantly running through his body and couldn’t stop.

The sky was darkening. The surroundings began to look as if they were covered in a black veil. If they stayed any later, there would be mosquitoes. Zhou Lingchun put the things they had picked that afternoon into the basket, rowed the boat to the shore, carried Liansheng onto land, and started walking home.

Liansheng was still dazed from the pleasure he’d felt earlier, and his body was weak. He remained quiet. On the way, they encountered a few men heading home with hoes slung over their shoulders after finishing work. They greeted Zhou Lingchun and, seeing someone in his arms, peered closer and asked if Liansheng was sick.

Zhou Lingchun said no, that he was just tired from picking lotus pods. He pulled Liansheng closer into his embrace, wanting to hide Liansheng’s exposed legs. The men chuckled twice, saying that kind of strength wasn’t good for anything, and then walked ahead with their hoes, leaving a faint smell of sweat in their wake.

When they were still a few hundred meters from home, Wangcai came running from the house, wagging its tail to greet them. Wangcai was a short, long black dog with two bright, energetic eyes, above which grew two round patches of yellow fur, making it look from a distance as if the yellow patches were its eyes. Wangcai barked twice. Zhou Lingchun ignored him, so he circled around and jumped up at Liansheng, licking Liansheng’s ankles twice with his pink tongue.

Liansheng cried out, “Wangcai is licking my feet!”

Zhou Lingchun kicked Wangcai. The dog, grinning widely, trotted alongside them all the way home, its tail wagging so fast it looked like it might fly off.

Grandma was sitting by the door, leaning on her cane. Her hair was white. Seeing the two of them, she asked, “Sheng-sheng, what’s wrong?”

Liansheng poked his head out and loudly complained, “Grandma, Zhou Lingchun hit me at the lotus pond today!”

Grandma said, “Ah? I didn’t hear you clearly.”

Liansheng was about to continue his complaint, but Zhou Lingchun covered his mouth and carried him into the house, giving him some water. After feeding him water, Zhou Lingchun went to the kitchen to start the fire and cook dinner. When he came out after the meal was ready, he found Liansheng sitting next to Grandma, peeling lotus seeds for her to eat.

    “Grandma, is it sweet?”

    “Ah?”

Liansheng leaned close to Grandma’s ear and shouted, “Is it sweet?”

    “Sweet.”

Grandma ate a few seeds and then said she didn’t want any more, saying that her stomach wasn’t good in her old age and she couldn’t digest too much. She stroked Liansheng’s wrist and slipped the bright green jade bangle from her own wrist onto his. Liansheng said he didn’t want it, but Grandma insisted, saying Liansheng was good, Liansheng was kind, and he knew how to care for people by peeling lotus seeds for her.

She told them to live well together.
