JFWCM Chapter 34
by VolareCampus Starlight
Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan rushed to the source of the alarm, discovering a group of suspicious individuals disguised as maintenance personnel attempting to breach the newly upgraded security system to enter the secure room containing the core data of the “Strawberry Resonance Wave Device.”
Yi Shang’s eyes sharpened instantly like a hawk’s, and she whispered to Jiang Wan’yuan, “Stay behind me, use the surrounding equipment to assist me, and be careful not to expose yourself.” Jiang Wan’yuan nodded vigorously, her lively eyes quickly surveying the surroundings, searching for anything useful.
Yi Shang approached silently like a ghost. Just as one of the suspicious individuals was about to crack the door access, she stepped forward, precisely locking the person’s throat, and said in a low voice, “Your little tricks end here.” The other suspicious individuals, seeing this, drew their weapons and surrounded Yi Shang in a fan shape.
Just as the situation became tense, Jiang Wan’yuan seized the opportunity and used remote control to activate nearby cleaning robots. The robots sprayed powerful foam, disrupting the vision of the suspicious individuals. Yi Shang took advantage of the chaos, and Beta Star fluid surged from her mechanical arm, wrapping around the enemies’ weapons like silver snakes.
However, these suspicious individuals seemed to be prepared; their equipment could briefly resist the erosion of the Beta Star fluid. One of the suspicious individuals broke free from the restraints and raised a gun to shoot Yi Shang. At the critical moment, Jiang Wan’yuan threw an energy disruptor from behind, accurately hitting the gunman, causing his weapon to short-circuit instantly.
Yi Shang took advantage of the enemies’ disarray, launching a fierce attack and subduing the group of suspicious individuals one by one. Just when they thought the crisis was over, a miniature aircraft hidden in a corner suddenly took off and fled into the sky. Yi Shang’s face changed, “Not good, they may have already stolen some of the data, we can’t let it escape!”
Jiang Wan’yuan quickly ran to a control panel, her fingers flying across the screen, activating the campus’s anti-aircraft defense system. Beams of energy shot from the ground, chasing after the aircraft. The aircraft dodged the attacks nimbly, while simultaneously releasing jamming waves, attempting to disrupt the defense system.
Yi Shang frowned, and after thinking for a moment, she rushed to the experimental equipment on the side, quickly disassembling and assembling it to create a simple tracker, and launched it towards the aircraft. The tracker successfully attached to the aircraft, providing the defense system with more accurate target information.
With the close cooperation of Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan, the defense system finally successfully hit the aircraft, and it crashed on the edge of the campus, emitting black smoke. The two did not bother to rest and immediately went to the crash site to check.
When they arrived, they found that the aircraft was severely damaged, but the chip storing the data was nowhere to be found. Just then, Jiang Wan’yuan keenly noticed a slight movement in the nearby bushes. She gave Yi Shang a look, and the two approached cautiously.
Suddenly, a mechanical hound darted out of the bushes, its mouth tightly holding the chip, its eyes flashing with a strange red light. Before Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan could react, the mechanical hound rushed towards them like an arrow, its sharp claws gleaming coldly.
Yi Shang quickly summoned a Beta Star fluid shield, blocking the mechanical hound’s attack. Jiang Wan’yuan searched for the mechanical hound’s weaknesses, discovering that the joints of the hound were relatively weakly protected.
“Yi Shang, attack its joints!” Jiang Wan’yuan shouted. Yi Shang understood and manipulated the Beta Star fluid to transform into sharp blades, stabbing at the mechanical hound’s joints. The mechanical hound cried out in pain, letting out a piercing roar, but it still clung tightly to the chip, refusing to let go.
The two sides fell into a stalemate. Just as Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan were beginning to feel overwhelmed, the campus security forces arrived. They quickly launched an attack on the mechanical hound. With everyone’s concerted efforts, the mechanical hound was finally subdued, and the chip was successfully recovered.
Having experienced this thrilling crisis, Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan knew that more challenges awaited them in the future. But they relied on each other, relying on their wisdom and courage, and their firm trust in each other, they firmly believed that no matter how many difficulties and obstacles lay ahead, they could not stop them on the path to exploring the mysteries of the universe, and the “Strawberry Resonance Wave Device” would surely bloom with even more brilliant light in their hands, guarding the peace and tranquility of this universe.
Classroom Time in the Aftermath
After the thrilling battle with the interstellar pirates, the campus regained its former tranquility, but the waves in Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan’s hearts had not subsided for a long time.
The class bell rang, and Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan walked into the classroom as usual. The students’ eyes turned to them, filled with admiration and curiosity, as if the two of them had become walking legends on campus. Jiang Wan’yuan stuck out her tongue a little embarrassedly, while Yi Shang looked calm, simply nodding slightly in response to the students’ gazes.
The professor walked into the classroom, his gaze lingering on Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan for a moment, his eyes full of approval, “I believe everyone knows about the heroic deeds of Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan. When faced with the threat of interstellar pirates, they remained calm and fearless, using their wisdom and courage to protect our research results and campus safety, which is worth learning from.” A warm applause resounded in the classroom.
Jiang Wan’yuan’s face turned red to the roots of her ears. Yi Shang gently patted her shoulder, signaling her to calm down. When the applause subsided, the professor began to lecture, but in this class, the students seemed a little absent-minded, including Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan.
Jiang Wan’yuan secretly glanced out the window. The grass where the fierce battle had taken place seemed to still have traces of the battle. Her thoughts couldn’t help but drift back to the scene of fighting the pirates, and her pen unconsciously drew circles on the notebook. Yi Shang frowned slightly, seemingly listening attentively, but in fact, she was constantly thinking about the possible actions of the interstellar pirates in her mind.
Finally, the break between classes arrived, and Zhang Yao and Lin Jichuan immediately gathered around. Zhang Yao said with a face full of envy, “Wan’yuan, Yi Shang, you’re so amazing! Fighting interstellar pirates, it’s just like a scene in a movie!” Lin Jichuan echoed, “Yeah, were you scared at the time? Tell us the details.”
Jiang Wan’yuan’s interest was immediately piqued, and she vividly described the battle, adding some of her own exaggerated descriptions from time to time, describing her movements to avoid the laser beams as gorgeous dance steps of an interstellar dancer. Yi Shang listened quietly, occasionally smiling and correcting some of Jiang Wan’yuan’s inaccuracies.
At this moment, the class monitor walked over, holding a small notebook in her hand, “Yi Shang, Jiang Wan’yuan, in order to commend you, the school plans to compile your deeds into a book as a case study for campus safety education, and needs you to provide some detailed information.” The two looked at each other and smiled and nodded in agreement.
The class bell rang again, and this time, Yi Shang and Jiang Wan’yuan tried to bring their thoughts back to the classroom. They knew that only by constantly absorbing nutrients in the ocean of knowledge and becoming stronger could they better cope with the unknown challenges of the future and protect everything they cherished.
