    Game 6

Due to the pressure from the school, candidates for the competition must be selected as soon as possible. Fei Zhu was unable to make up his mind because of Shen Luo’s matter, so he had to leave the matter to the squad leader Lu Ze.

Lu Ze worked very efficiently and listed several candidates in just one morning. Fei Zhu couldn’t help but frown and look at him when he saw Zhang Jiasheng’s name.

“Did you ask this kid to cause trouble?”

Lu Ze looked at his name, swallowed his saliva, and explained: “I think he is quite suitable. The game is not about stable output, but adaptability. He usually has many ideas on the court, which is not necessarily a bad thing.”

Hearing what Lu Ze said, Fei Zhu reported directly with a wave of his hand.

One of the street lights was broken today. An Yu held hands and leaned tightly against his shoulder. Occasionally, a cat or dog would escape from the grass on the roadside and then crash into the other side.

    “Xiao Luo?”

This uncertain sound made Shen Luo stunned. When the owner of the sound saw him stop, he trotted over quickly.

“I thought I saw it wrong.” Liu Zixu seemed to have rushed over just after finishing his work, and there were still ink stains on his fingertips.

He looked at An Yu and extended his hand in a friendly manner, “I am Xiao Luo’s cousin, my name is Liu Zixu. This is my business card.”

After a brief handshake, Anyu took his business card, glanced at it casually, put it in his pocket, and then briefly introduced himself.

“Hello, I am Xiao Luo’s roommate and deskmate.”

“What do you want from me?” Shen Luo only remembered saying a few words every time during the Chinese New Year, and he couldn’t figure out why he saw him here.

Liu Zixu tried his best to look more approachable, but he was used to facing work with a stern attitude, and he really couldn’t adjust for a while.

“I saw your registration form for the Linjiang Literary Competition from Brother Ji, but it doesn’t look like it’s going well. I just wanted to ask you if there is anything you need my help with? I happen to have a friend in Linjiang. He is a professor at Linjiang University and is also the chief judge of this competition.”

Shen Luo didn’t expect that he would come all the way for this matter. The car lights behind him made it difficult for him to see Liu Zixu’s expression clearly. Hearing his words, Shen Luo rekindled his hope. After thinking for a moment, he still refused, “No, I don’t plan to go.”

    “What?”

“Are you sure you’ll get a prize if you go? It’s just a waste of time.”

An Yu patted the back of his hand, giving him a reassuring signal, “If there is nothing else, we will go back first without seeing him off.”

Liu Zixu didn’t continue as if he knew the outcome. He nodded politely to the two of them and left.

Today’s weather has a big temperature difference between day and night. The ground is white at night and the leaves are red at noon. Shen Luo’s hands shrunk in his sleeves are warm, but they lose their warmth in just a few minutes.

The more he didn’t want to face something, the more something would appear in front of him. This incident had already exhausted Shen Luo’s energy, as if he was tired from running half the city.

Liu Zixu drove back to Su Ji’s place. The torn registration form was glued up bit by bit, with Shen Luojunxiu’s words and beautiful photos on it.

    “What did he say?”

The words were full of expectation but mixed with uneasiness.

    “He said he couldn’t go.”

Liu Zixu lay still and looked at Su Ji through a layer of glass and said, “Why don’t you ask yourself and why do you still want me to go?”

Su Ji drank all the wine in his glass, picked up the registration form and looked at it again and again. The result seemed to be within his expectation, and he said, “I don’t know how to speak.”

“I’m sorry to go up there. You’ve already said hello to Linjiang. What should I say if he doesn’t go?”

“If he doesn’t go, he won’t go. I’ll handle it on the other side of Linjiang. This is not the only competition.” Su Ji put away the registration form and put it in a box, which was filled with toys. They were all brand new and not stained with dust at all.

Liu Zixu stood up and prepared to leave. Before leaving, he did not forget to talk, “You can just keep being cold with him like this.”
