The Wind Blows Fallen Leaves Chapter 3
bygood night
Shen Luo was the first to know the freshly released results. As soon as the results came out, he was called to the office. He walked into the office anxiously. The teachers inside all looked at him, their heads so low that they almost burrowed into the ground.
Little Flying Pig took the lead, pointing to the still warm report card and said, “You have been very upright recently, but why have your grades plummeted?”
Xie Wenfeng stood up from his chair angrily, walked up to him and said, “Look at these results. No wonder you were secretive during the exam and didn’t put your mind on it.”
The English teacher is a younger woman than Xie Wenfeng. She does not have the standard glasses, nor does she dress in a fashionable manner, and she looks passable.
She stood up, took the report card, and said, “Although English is still the first in the grade, are you satisfied with this score?”
Shen Luo murmured in a low voice: “Actually, it’s not bad.”
Little Flying Pig heard his voice and immediately guessed what he said based on what he knew about him.
“You have a very small appetite, so you will be satisfied with this. We teachers don’t want you to achieve anything, so don’t just be satisfied with the present. If you go out and take a look, you will know that what you are satisfied with is just the starting point for others.”
The more Shen Luo listened, the more uncomfortable he felt. He felt a little aggrieved and tears were already welling up in his eyes. He just nodded blindly and didn’t even think about what he said.
Before leaving, Xiao Feizhu asked him to hand over the report card to the squad leader. Liang Qian snatched it and saw that he still maintained a good ranking and was relieved. He subconsciously searched around his name, and then found Shen Luo a little further down. He didn’t know what to say to comfort him.
Lu Ze posted the results on the wall, and as soon as class was over, people swarmed around him. Some were happy and some were worried. Those people wanted to see a hole in the results.
Shen Luo’s melancholy appearance attracted the attention of others around him. The boy who was checking the answers with Zhang Jiasheng before felt a sense of joy about surviving the disaster and said, “Shen Luo didn’t do well in the test this time. Fortunately, he didn’t tell me the answer.”
As soon as he said this, Zhang Jiasheng, who was closest to him, gave him an elbow. The man immediately covered his mouth. People around him looked at Shen Luo. Zhang Jiasheng pointed to his score and said, “Wow, Shen Luo, you are the first in your grade in English again.”
People around him blocked his mouth one after another, fearing that he would say something else that would irritate him. Shen Luo looked away and said, “It’s just an exam, not the college entrance examination. It’s okay.”
The people around looked at each other, not knowing how true or false this sentence was, so they all chose to remain silent.
Liang Qian and the others gathered together to discuss An Yu’s grades. It seemed that only English was poor, and science was on par with Liang Qian. A transcript was circulated like an imperial edict.
Shen Luo acted in a relaxed manner until school ended in the afternoon, as if this incident had never happened. He hurried away as soon as the bell rang. By the time Liang Qian came to his senses, everyone had run out.
In the English class the next day, Shen Luo lowered his head as usual, but this time Li Ruoqin did not choose to turn a blind eye. Instead, he called him up and listened to the class standing up. Every moment after class was on pins and needles, just wanting to end such a bad day quickly.
But things didn’t go as he expected. He could always hear about it from the teacher’s mouth, and only then did Shen Luo realize what kind of fairy life he had lived before.
The sky darkened, and the last ray of rays of light slowly slipped away. He was afraid that we would be lonely and turned into dots of starlight. The pale lamps in the classroom carved out the outline of every place. The classroom was very crowded. This was their first time to study in the evening. The tables and chairs were crooked, and the test papers on them were placed randomly. Everyone seemed to have just met that person. They are very curious about everything and look at the stars outside the window. This seems to be the first time they see stars in school. They seem to have changed. A lot of things happened today, including the first evening self-study and the first time watching stars with everyone. There is a series of numbers on the blackboard, which means that the countdown to their reunion has begun.
