TVMCC Chapter 60
by VolareChapter 60: Going Home
In the end, Yun Yi didn’t get his ice cream.
He was sleepy and wanted to sleep. Jiang Qiu hugged Yun Yi from behind again and softly called out, “Xiao Yi…”
“You’re noisy!”
Jiang Qiu: “…”
Five in the morning.
After kissing the top of Yun Yi’s head, Jiang Qiu got up quietly.
He had promised Qin Tingli that he wouldn’t skip work again. He needed to hurry back. Coming here was just to take a look at the young master; seeing him should be enough.
Jiang Qiu touched Yun Yi’s glands and reluctantly applied a suppressant patch.
The milk candy sweetness was isolated, and the young master would be hundreds of kilometers away from him again.
Jiang Qiu didn’t leave immediately. He went downstairs to prepare some ingredients, simmered vegetable porridge in a casserole, and then left.
Before leaving, he didn’t forget to instruct the servant downstairs to let Yun Yi try it when he woke up.
The servant nodded. Jiang Qiu looked up at the staircase and then turned to leave the Yi family home.
As the morning light faintly appeared, Jiang Qiu sat on the plane back to the Alliance District.
He timed it perfectly, finally arriving at the Qin Corporation a few minutes before being late.
Before throwing himself into work, he sent Yun Yi a message, saying that he had returned to the Alliance District.
He also said he would pick up Yun Yi in half a month.
There was no reply. It was still early, and Jiang Qiu didn’t expect the young master to reply to him.
The entire interface was full of messages Jiang Qiu had sent to himself.
At ten in the morning, Yun Yi woke up.
When Jiang Qiu was around, he almost never wore his home clothes. He went barefoot to get out of bed and called out “Jiang Qiu.”
There was no response.
Yun Yi didn’t bother searching. He found a set of clothes in the closet, got dressed, and went downstairs. When the servant saw him, she asked, “Young Master, are you awake? Would you like some porridge?”
Yun Yi didn’t have an appetite right after waking up, so he shook his head.
The Yi family’s old madam heard the sound and rushed towards Yun Yi anxiously, not forgetting to call the family doctor to check him over. Only after confirming that Yun Yi was fine did she breathe a sigh of relief.
“I won’t let Xiao Ye take you out again in the future. You’re always fine, but you get sick after going out with him.”
Yun Yi smiled and coaxingly took the old madam’s arm, “Okay, I won’t go out with him again in the future.”
“And you, why did you eat so many cold things? Don’t you know how to take care of your own body…” The grandmother looked at Yun Yi’s thin arms and legs, and touched his hair with concern, “Look how thin you’ve become. It breaks my heart.”
Yun Yi didn’t know how to deal with such caring people, so he just said in a spoiled tone, “I’ll eat properly when I go back.”
The old madam caught a hint in Yun Yi’s words, “Go back?”
“Yes.” Yun Yi sat up straight, his sweet and soft tone unchanged, “School is about to start, and I want to go back early.”
Even though she was reluctant, the old madam had to let him go. Looking at Yun Yi’s obedient appearance, she nodded, “You have to go to school. Xiao Yi is still young and needs to go to school…”
After saying that, she called the servant behind her, “Bring the porridge over.”
The vegetable porridge was simmered until soft and mushy, with a drop of sesame oil added. The bland rice smelled appetizing.
“Young Master, this was cooked early this morning by the servant by your side.”
Yun Yi took a bite, the spoon still halfway to his mouth, and said vaguely, “The servant by my side?”
“Yes.”
“Where did he go?”
“He left.”
Yun Yi’s hand holding the spoon paused, and he smiled.
So eager, it seems he knows he needs to strive for the Qin family.
A male lead with ambition is a good male lead.
The grandmother was stunned by the smile, discerning a hint of mischief, “Xiao Yi doesn’t like him?”
Yun Yi squinted his eyes, “It’s okay, he’s just a bit stupid.”
“Oh…it’s good that you don’t hate him.”
If he hated him, the old madam could choose an alpha from the Yi family to stay by Yun Yi’s side.
Yun Yi finished most of the bowl of porridge, took a tissue to wipe his mouth.
After chatting with the old madam for a while, he went upstairs to pack his things. When he saw the iron box, Yun Yi paused for a moment, then picked it up and put it in his schoolbag along with the other items.
The cookies were made by grandmother, his original host mother would like it.
As he was leaving, Yun Yi stood at the door and looked into the room, softly saying, “Goodbye.”
Then he closed the door.
Downstairs, the old madam watched with red eyes as the person came down the stairs.
For a moment, the figure in front of her overlapped with Yi Qing.
Back then, Yi Qing had also gone downstairs so happily, marrying someone she loved, but what awaited her was not love and cherishment, but a grave.
“Xiao Yi…”
Yun Yi pretended not to notice his grandmother’s emotions, with no hint of sadness on his face, and went over to take the old lady’s hand, “Grandma, will you come with me to see me off?”
“Okay!”
Yi Lin was the one who took him. The grandmother sat in the back seat holding Yun Yi’s hand, urging him to eat well when he got back, not to be greedy for cold things, and to return to the Third District if he was wronged.
Yun Yi looked at the palm holding his hand, covered in wrinkles but so warm, so warm that he couldn’t say some things.
So warm that he couldn’t bear to tell the truth, to cause this elderly woman in her twilight years unnecessary sadness.
All the way to the airport, the old madam released Yun Yi, and the three got out of the car.
Yun Yi smiled, opened his arms, hugged the old madam, and whispered on her shoulder, “Grandma, you have to take care of yourself and live to be a hundred years old. Xiao Yi will pray for you.”
The old madam finally couldn’t hold back her tears, and hugged the young grandson in front of her tightly, patting Yun Yi’s back with her hand, gently and comfortingly, just like she used to coax Yi Qing to sleep when she was little.
“Grandma knows.”
Yun Yi looked at Yi Lin, who was standing beside him with a tall and slender figure, and smiled, “Young Uncle promised me that he would definitely protect the Yi Corporation.”
Yi Lin touched Yun Yi’s hair, a faint smile appearing on his stern face, “Yes, I promise you.”
With the Yi family’s affairs settled, Yun Yi took the plane ticket from the servant’s hand and waved to the two Yi family members, “I’m leaving!”
His tone was cheerful, his smile radiant, and the light above his head fell on Yun Yi’s face, making him look lively.
Yi Lin looked at him, waved his hand, “Okay, report back when you get there safely.”
Then he remembered Yun Yi’s smile when he looked back for many, many years.
The plane quickly landed in the Alliance District. Even though there weren’t many people, Yun Yi was still made uncomfortable by the faint alpha pheromones that were leaking out around him.
He borrowed a mask from the flight attendant and took a light nap. When he arrived at the station, he got out of the airport with his backpack.
He hadn’t looked at his phone all day. When he got outside, he glanced at the time and realized that Jiang Qiu had sent him several messages, all from the morning.
Yun Yi chuckled.
Pick him up in half a month?
Then go to the Third District and find an empty place!
Yun Yi didn’t reply, put away his phone, hailed a taxi, and went back to the Yun family home.
He was prepared to come back and face an empty house, but the moment he opened the door, he saw Zhang Ma wiping the marble table with a towel.
Just like when he was home, she treated everything in the villa, cleaning it meticulously.
The moment she saw him, Zhang Ma cried with joy, put down the towel, walked over, and stopped a step away from Yun Yi, saying cautiously, “Young Master, you’re back?”
Yun Yi found it amusing.
She said she wouldn’t take her salary and would still stay at the Yun family home, how silly.
Yun Yi nodded, went back to his room to take a shower, and then went downstairs with his schoolbag again. Zhang Ma was still guarding the stairs. When she saw Yun Yi coming down, her smile slowly froze, “Is Young Master leaving again?”
Zhang Ma was old, and the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes were obvious, as were her emotions.
It seemed that if Yun Yi nodded, sadness would fill her eyes.
Yun Yi shook his head, “I’m not leaving.”
“Okay, okay!” Zhang Ma responded happily. Perhaps she was excited, but the two hands clasped in front of her chest were unconsciously rubbing against each other, “Are you hungry? Shall I cook now? What would Young Master like to eat?”
