The Strategy For The Yandere Movie Queen Failed And Was Marked. Chapter 2
byChapter 2 Punishment
The launch ceremony for the movie Starlight Behind the Scenes was held in the Luxury Hotel Ballroom.
Actors, directors, and producers gathered, the champagne tower sparkling alluringly under the lights, the air filled with faint scents of perfume and alcohol.
Su Jin stood in the corner of the ballroom, holding a glass of champagne, her gaze fixed on the cool, distant figure not far away—Ye Qinglan, the newly crowned Film Empress of the entertainment industry, and the target she was about to “scum.”
At this moment, the System was frantically urging her: “Host, remember you must hug her for three full minutes, or the mission will fail. Failure means accepting a random Punishment.”
Su Jin snapped, “You never mentioned Punishment before!”
The unscrupulous System completely ignored her anger and urged, “Look, Ye Qinglan is right there, hurry up! The paparazzi are hiding in the corners waiting to take pictures!”
“No, first tell me clearly, what is the Punishment? I seriously doubt your credibility now…”
The System continued to rush her: “Detection shows the mission target is about to leave. Host, act now. We can discuss the Punishment later. Do you really want to fail the very first mission?”
Seeing that Ye Qinglan truly seemed about to depart, Su Jin had no choice but to temporarily stop arguing with the System, steeling herself to down a few glasses of wine.
The alcohol quickly went to her head, her cheeks flushed, and she started to feel slightly warm.
“Yes, yes, exactly! Make it look convincing!” the System suggested excitedly. “Drink a couple more sips, stagger when you walk, maximum effect!”
Su Jin sighed helplessly, took another gulp of champagne, and wobbled toward Ye Qinglan.
As if possessed by a drama queen, her steps became unsteady.
Just as she was about to reach Ye Qinglan, her foot slipped, and she stumbled forward.
Ye Qinglan reacted swiftly, immediately turning around and reaching out to steady her shoulders. Her other hand smoothly caught the wine glass in Su Jin’s hand.
Su Jin leaned into her embrace, resting her forehead on Ye Qinglan’s shoulder, her breathing ragged, as if she were genuinely quite drunk.
She tentatively lifted her head to steal a glance at Ye Qinglan, and her breath hitched.
She knew Ye Qinglan was beautiful, but she hadn’t expected the real person to be this stunning. Her exquisite features looked as if they were carved from the finest mutton-fat jade. Up close, she could barely see any pores. Especially those dark eyes, like stars in the deep night, seemed capable of drawing a person in.
“Miss Su?” Ye Qinglan’s voice was faint, carrying a hint of inquiry.
Su Jin finally snapped back to reality, cursing herself for being so weak. How could she be captivated by beauty at a time like this?
She quickly adjusted her state, pretending to be unable to stand steady. She took the opportunity to wrap her arms around Ye Qinglan’s waist, pressing her cheek against Ye Qinglan’s shoulder. Her every breath was filled with Ye Qinglan’s faint, cool scent.
What kind of perfume was this? It smelled strangely good.
“Well done!” the System shouted excitedly. “Countdown initiated, 180 seconds!”
Ye Qinglan didn’t push her away. Instead, she lowered her head slightly, her gaze resting on Su Jin’s profile: “Too much to drink?”
Su Jin mumbled, “A little dizzy…”
“Miss Su.” Ye Qinglan’s voice was low, a hint of a smile in her tone. “If you get drunk this easily, you should drink less.”
Not only was she beautiful, but her voice was also incredibly pleasant.
Su Jin felt her ears burn and her heart rate suddenly accelerate. She muffled, “Today is… the launch ceremony, I was happy, so I drank a bit more.”
“You should really stop drinking so much in the future. Your face is all red.”
Red? No wonder her face felt so hot.
Su Jin couldn’t help but lift her hand to touch her cheek, meeting Ye Qinglan’s eyes. Those dark pupils seemed to hold endless depth, causing her to lose herself for a moment, forgetting what she intended to say.
“Miss Su, are you alright? Can you stand steady?”
Ye Qinglan whispered in Su Jin’s ear, her warm breath tickling her.
Su Jin was stunned again by her own pathetic reaction. Seeing her worthless state, the System quickly reminded her: “Host, 60 seconds left. Hold on, victory is in sight!”
Right, right! The mission!
Snapping back to attention, Su Jin was terrified that Ye Qinglan would push her away. She stammered, “I… I’m still a bit dizzy, can’t stand steady…”
Ye Qinglan’s lips curved slightly, “Would you like me to take you back?”
Su Jin was about to say something to drag out the remaining few dozen seconds, but unexpectedly, Ye Qinglan suddenly distanced herself from her, saying politely, “Miss Su, please stand straight. I’ll help you back to rest.”
She was caught off guard, and the System’s wail echoed in her mind: “Mission failed! Time not met. Initiating random Punishment: anonymously send Explicit Photos to Ye Qinglan!”
“What?!” Su Jin nearly screamed out loud, but due to the setting, she had to forcefully hold it in.
Ye Qinglan looked at her expression with interest, “Miss Su, what’s wrong?”
“…N-nothing.” Thinking of the damned Punishment, her face flushed instantly. She desperately wanted to flee, stammering, “I… I’m much better now. Thank you for your trouble.”
Ye Qinglan chuckled softly, “Since Miss Su seems to have sobered up, I’ll take my leave.”
Watching Ye Qinglan depart, Su Jin stood in the corner clutching the empty wine glass, gritting her teeth: “Damn System! I agreed to follow the plot, not do this kind of thing! This is fraud!”
“With rewards naturally come punishments, that’s fair. It’s just taking a picture, it won’t hurt you.”
“Get lost!” Su Jin was furious. “I won’t do it! Whoever wants this rotten mission can have it!”
The System’s voice instantly turned cold: “Host, the consequences of refusing Punishment are severe. Since you insist on not cooperating, I will be forced to take over your body to complete the Punishment mission.”
Before Su Jin could react, she suddenly felt her body was no longer under her control.
The System manipulated her body to return directly to the hotel room. After closing the door, it began to unbutton her clothes.
“What are you doing! Stop!” Su Jin screamed frantically.
It was completely useless; her body was entirely beyond her control.
“Are you insane! Stop it! You bastard System, I’ll kill you!”
Su Jin cursed desperately in her mind, but the System ignored her completely.
“Host, don’t be nervous. I’ll make sure you look beautiful in the photos.”
“Click.” The phone screen captured the image.
The System’s voice sounded: “Done! See, the effect is quite good, isn’t it?”
“Sending.”
The System’s voice carried a hint of satisfaction. “Punishment mission complete. You may regain control of your body.”
Su Jin’s body relaxed, and she immediately regained control. She frantically snatched the phone, trying to recall the image.
Unfortunately, it was too late.
“You… you scoundrel!” Su Jin cursed angrily. “How am I supposed to face people after this!”
“This was a Punishment mission, I couldn’t help it.” The System explained while trying to soothe her: “Don’t worry, your face isn’t showing. No one will know it’s you.”
“Go away!”
Su Jin didn’t want to say another word to this treacherous System.
Meanwhile, in the hotel’s Presidential Suite.
Ye Qinglan was sitting on the sofa, her gaze fixed on the night view outside the window, her eyes filled with restrained eagerness.
“System, are you sure Su Jin isn’t my sister?”
The System’s voice was calm. “I have already checked. Su Jin’s Soul Fluctuation is completely different from the Master’s. She is definitely not the Master.”
Ye Qinglan was silent for a moment, then murmured softly, “But… I always feel she’s somewhat familiar? That feeling… is so much like my sister.”
“That might be your psychological effect,” the System explained.
“Psychological effect, huh…” Ye Qinglan’s voice dropped, a flicker of confusion and bewilderment in her eyes. “But that feeling… it’s too real. It truly feels… just like my sister.”
When she mentioned “sister,” her voice trembled slightly, and a hint of undeniable pain surfaced in her eyes.
The System was silent for a moment before slowly speaking: “Host, the Master’s soul has long since dissipated. You know this better than anyone. Su Jin cannot be her. Perhaps… you just miss the Master too much.”
“It’s not her…”
Ye Qinglan closed her eyes, taking a deep breath, trying to calm the turmoil within her.
“What do you plan to do next?” the System asked. “Energy is running low. You must quickly select a target to devour for sustenance to maintain your Rebirth time.”
As the System finished speaking, a screen appeared in the Void World, showing a long energy bar displaying: 15%. It was constantly flashing warnings of low energy.
Ye Qinglan was silent for a moment, then said, “Let’s observe for now. As long as she doesn’t actively provoke me, there’s no need to ruthlessly eliminate her.”
The System’s voice sounded again: “You are quite generous.”
“I’m just too lazy to waste time on an irrelevant person, besides…” Ye Qinglan’s expression suddenly darkened, and her voice lowered significantly. “Sister wouldn’t like me targeting innocent people. Otherwise… she wouldn’t have helped me back then.”
The System fell silent.
Ye Qinglan lowered her eyelids, her eyes filled with pain, and she murmured, “Sister, you promised you would come back…”
Just then, her phone vibrated.
Ye Qinglan picked up the phone and glanced at it, then froze. On the screen was a photograph.
The person in the photo only showed the lower half of their face. Red lips were slightly parted, the skin was fair as jade, and a small red mole on the collarbone seemed to invite plucking.
Ye Qinglan’s eyes instantly turned cold, her fingers tightening slightly, the phone screen nearly crushed in her grip.
The System chimed in at the right moment: “It seems this transmigrated Su Jin is very interested in you, actively sending you photos like this.”
“Is this… Su Jin?” Ye Qinglan’s voice turned cold, carrying a dangerous edge.
“Heh… I was planning to let her go, but I didn’t expect her to deliver herself to my doorstep. Then don’t blame me for being impolite.”
