Chapter 61: Early Rising

The sky had just begun to lighten when the phone placed next to the pillow started vibrating.

Shen Chang’an was awakened by the alarm. His slender arm, escaping from the confinement around his waist, reached out from the blanket. Guided by instinct, he groped around the source of the sound. The touch of the cold phone brought a slight clarity to his mind.

He slightly opened his eyes, still carrying a hint of sleepiness and blurriness, glanced at the time displayed on the screen, and then unhesitatingly pressed the button to turn off the alarm.

Shen Chang’an lifted the blanket, then pulled it up higher, covering the top of Cheng Yi’s head. He sat up slightly and reached out to press the switch by the bed, instantly lighting up the entire room.

He sat on the edge of the bed, closing his eyes uncomfortably, the sleepy corners of his eyes glistening with a hint of shimmering light.

He turned around and looked at the person still buried in the blanket, not moving, the corners of his mouth slightly raised. He reached out again to help him pull back the blanket.

While Cheng Yi was washing up downstairs, Shen Chang’an had already gone to his grandmother’s side to say hello.
