    Chapter 4 Music Player

“It’s already 12 o’clock, I’ll chat a little longer, then I’ll end the stream. Thank you all for joining me tonight, and don’t forget to follow and get the Light Badge if you haven’t already.”

Shen Chang’an glanced at the number of people in the livestream, over six hundred, which was a bit higher than before. He thought to himself that it should be the popularity brought by Cy’s Carnival gift, but he was singing just now and didn’t pay attention to the livestream’s stats, so this wave of popularity was missed.

His eyes drooped slightly, a hint of annoyance flashing in his eyes. A few seconds later, he looked at the chat again, where only a few familiar fans occasionally sent messages.

    “Followed you, baby”

“Will the streamer sing more? Another song, please”

“Baby, why do you have such a cute gap? You’re quiet when you’re not singing, but when you sing, you become lively with the music”

“The streamer’s voice is so nice”

    “Such a beauty, *slurp*”

    “Kisses”

“Don’t end the stream, let’s party ’til dawn”

“Boss Cy doesn’t seem to have followed the streamer yet”

“Babe, let’s not talk about the boss”

Shen Chang’an picked up the water glass next to him and moistened his lips. He smiled as he looked at the chat, “That’s right, everyone, let’s not talk about the boss. When we see the boss, let’s welcome them warmly, and when the boss leaves, let’s send them off happily, and try to give the boss a happy and comfortable livestream experience.”

“I won’t be singing for now, let’s chat. I’ll be ending the stream in a little while. Are there any new viewers who want to know or ask the streamer anything?” Shen Chang’an blinked his eyes, moved closer to the screen, and asked in a gentle voice. His long eyelashes were distinct and fluttered slightly, as if touching people’s hearts, leaving a tickling sensation. Under the clear lens, one could even see the pores under his delicate skin.

    “Ahhhh!! Beauty!!!”

“How can the streamer be so bewitching?”

    “*Slurp slurp slurp*”

    “Followed the streamer”

The chat, which was about to die down, became active again, with messages scrolling quickly. Shen Chang’an blinked, his expression a little innocent. He didn’t expect the chat to be so crazy, but since he originally planned to use his looks, it wasn’t too surprising.

Because he was close to the camera, a floating message drifted across the top of the livestream, which he saw very clearly.

“What does get a card mean?” Shen Chang’an read the floating message, a little stunned. He looked to the upper right corner to confirm once again that the boss Cy had not left his livestream.

The fans in the livestream naturally saw this floating message and helped explain it. Shen Chang’an pursed his dry lips and said softly, “It’s the red plus sign next to my avatar in the livestream. If you click it, you can follow the streamer. After following, it will turn into a yellow heart, which is the Light Badge. It only costs one Yin Coin to have a fan badge in my livestream.”

“Next to the heart is an orange-yellow capital V, which is a membership. If you get a membership in my livestream, you can enter the Green Bubble group, and every month there will be a membership gift for the members of the group.”

While Shen Chang’an was explaining, his eyes were always on the livestream, but the screen was quiet, with no floating messages.

He quietly clicked on the first avatar in the upper right corner, which still only showed that he followed the other person.

Cy’s floating message was just like a casual question.

Shen Chang’an returned to the livestream a little disappointed, looking at the scrolling chat below. One or two fans with Light Badges were asking what the membership gifts were like.

He cheered himself up and started introducing them, “Membership gifts are generally the streamer’s merchandise, such as pillows printed with my cartoon character, or keychains, meal card holders, etc. If the fan Light Badge in the livestream reaches level 16, there will also be gifts made by the streamer himself, such as a hand-woven bracelet, a hand-painted painting, etc. Of course, you can also suggest anything else you want, and I’ll see if I can fulfill it.”

Shen Chang’an knew that the people who had just followed him and gotten their Light Badges were mostly smaller fans, many of whom had other streamers they liked more, so they generally wouldn’t spend too much money on his stream. Looking at the livestream, which was quiet except for the chat, he wasn’t too disappointed.

“Does anyone have any other questions?” After waiting for a while, Shen Chang’an saw that there were no suitable replies in the chat. He sighed softly and said in a gentle voice, “Alright, it’s already very late, so the streamer will end the stream first, everyone… um?”

Before he could finish speaking, a trace of surprise flashed in his clear eyes. He looked at the prompt in the livestream, his eyes shining with a smile.

“Thank you Strawberry Mousse Little Cake for the monthly membership, thank you Strawberry for the membership.”

This was the first membership he had received since he started streaming, his eyebrows and eyes curved, his happiness showing on his face, making him look gentler.

“Miss Strawberry, my livestream doesn’t have a moderator yet, I’ll contact you after I end the stream to add you to the Green Bubble, can you wait for me a moment? I’ve followed you back.”

Before, Shen Chang’an’s livestream didn’t have many viewers, so he could manage the livestream himself, but tonight there were more people, so it was a bit overwhelming. It seemed that he had to find a moderator.

In the public chat, Strawberry Mousse Little Cake’s messages scrolled slowly. Shen Chang’an, seeing that she replied ‘Okay’, felt relieved. He looked at the number of viewers in the livestream again, and there were still three hundred people.

It was indeed a bit late, so Shen Chang’an waved his hand, “Okay, then I’ll thank the rankings again.”

“Thank you Cy, thank you Strawberry, thank you Fish Doesn’t Eat Fish…”

“Thank you all, thank you for joining me tonight, I’m ending the stream, everyone should rest early too, good night.”

After saying that, he closed the livestream, leaning back on the chair, feeling a little tired. He closed his eyes and rested for a few seconds, then opened his eyes, picked up his phone, logged into his account, found the fan named Strawberry Mousse Little Cake, and sent her a Green Bubble group number.

Shen Chang’an looked at the system avatar in his following list, the finger holding the phone paused, stopped for a few seconds, and he hesitantly clicked into that person’s private message.

The top of the chat read: You can send a text message before the other party replies to you or follows you. Please speak politely and consciously abide by the Yin Fu Self-Discipline Convention.

[Thank you Boss Cy for the gifts you sent today, good night.]

After the message was sent, Shen Chang’an exited the chat interface. He received several private messages from fans today and checked them one by one.

Before he could finish reading them, a message popped up on WeChat. Shen Chang’an clicked on it, and it was Strawberry joining the group chat.

    [S: Welcome Miss Strawberry]

    [S: Welcome “Animated Emoticon”]

[Sleepless: Babe, are there only two people in this group?]

[S: Yes, Miss Strawberry is my first member, thank you for your support]

[S: Just saying, the September membership gift hasn’t been customized yet, is there anything you want, Miss Strawberry? I can prioritize it.]

[Sleepless: I want a photo of you and a handwritten card, is that okay?]

Seeming afraid that Shen Chang’an would misunderstand, she quickly explained,

[Sleepless: Just a daily life photo is fine, not anything private]

[Sleepless: It’s my birthday at the end of the month]

[S: Of course, what day is Miss Strawberry’s birthday? Can you tell me, and also send me your shipping address]

    [Sleepless: OK “Animated Emoticon”]

After she sent the address and said good night to each other, Shen Chang’an got up, tidied up the things in front of the computer, and then took his phone, turned off the lights, and left the room.

Back in the bedroom, he first took a shower, sat on the carpet in his pajamas, and held a towel to wipe his wet hair.

In the dim light, he leaned against the bed, one leg propped up and the other stretched out. He lowered his head, unable to see his expression clearly, water droplets dripped from his un-dried hair onto the towel in his arms, and his whole body was listless.

    “Meow~”

A soft voice rang in the quiet room, Shen Chang’an raised his head and looked at the kitten walking towards him. Two bright eyes, one yellow and one blue, were looking at him.

This was a Persian cat with heterochromia, it walked slowly with elegant steps to Shen Chang’an’s side, sat down obediently, and tilted its head to look at Shen Chang’an as if asking,

Human, what are you thinking about?

“Berber, why aren’t you asleep yet?”

Shen Chang’an rubbed its head, picked it up and put it on his lap, stroking its thick, smooth fur.

    “Meow~”

Berber struggled slightly, but was held down by the comfortable massage technique of this hateful two-legged human, and lay back obediently, its eyes slowly closing, its throat purring softly.

Shen Chang’an chuckled as he looked at the cat’s spoiled appearance. He stroked the cat with one hand, and picked up the towel next to him with the other to dry his hair. After confirming that it wouldn’t drip anymore, he picked up the phone that had been placed on the bed.

He skillfully opened the Yin Fu APP, and as soon as he entered, he saw a red circle next to the word “Messages” below, with a number marked inside.

Someone sent him a private message?

Shen Chang’an clicked on the message, and the screen jumped to the message interface. He was stunned as he looked at the name of the sender.

It was Cy who sent him the message.

He clicked into Cy’s chat interface, and the time was already ten minutes ago, at which time he seemed to be in the shower.

[Is this all the thanks for the top donator?]

The words were short, as if questioning him.

Shen Chang’an looked at the sentence in confusion, clicked on his homepage, and found that the other party had followed him back.

He didn’t know why this boss was deliberately picking a fight, so he quickly explained.

[Boss, since we didn’t follow each other, and I was also afraid of disturbing you, I could only send you a short message to express my gratitude just now]

He looked at the text he sent, raised his eyes and looked at Cy’s sentence above, thought for a moment, his clear eyes turned cold, and then he typed out a paragraph.

[Is there anything you want me to do? You can bring it up, if I can do it]

Or else I’ll give you the blacklist treatment.

Shen Chang’an looked at the chat interface, and the other party’s account always showed that it was online.

He waited, and a few minutes later, just when he thought the other party had fallen asleep, the two messages showed as read.

Shen Chang’an saw the words Cy above turned into “typing.”

    [Can you answer the phone]

Shen Chang’an’s eyes hesitated as he looked at the five words.

Should I just blacklist this person now?

    [Can]

He considered for a few seconds, his slender fingers sluggishly typed the word on the screen, finally clicked send, and the message immediately showed as read.

The next second, the Yin Fu phone rang.

    He pressed answer.

    “…”

The phone was lightly placed next to his ear, with the sound of static electricity. The person on the other end of the phone didn’t speak.

“Hello?” Since the other person was the boss, Shen Chang’an lowered his stance and tentatively opened his mouth, “Boss Cy, hello, is there something you need to say on the phone?”

A hoarse, magnetic voice rang from the other end of the phone, “Sān shuǐ yī mù? Why did you take such a name?”

The man’s voice was very young, and his tone was casual and nonchalant. Shen Chang’an frowned unconsciously and moved the phone a little further away, and said truthfully, “It was taken from the radicals in my name.”

The man on the other end of the phone should have just asked casually, and after hearing this answer, he didn’t say anything more, and changed the subject, saying, “I do have a request, it just depends on whether you can accept it.”

“Please tell me.” Shen Chang’an said with his head lowered. He looked at Berber, who was lying on his lap, sleeping with his limbs spread out, and smiled softly and silently. Wasn’t it still causing a commotion just now? How did it fall asleep so quickly?

“Sing me songs for half an hour every night after the stream.”

“Huh?” Hearing this, Shen Chang’an was stunned, and accidentally used a little more force with his hand. Berber, who was sleeping soundly, was awakened by the force, twisting in his hand, baring his teeth at him in a fierce manner, very angry. Shen Chang’an came back to his senses and quickly soothed him with gentle movements.

“What? Can’t do it?” His tone was cold, and he probably didn’t hear his answer. The man on the other end of the phone was in a bad mood, and his tone became unkind.

Shen Chang’an had just finished pacifying Berber, who was angry at him, and immediately replied when he heard this, “Yes, of course I can.”

“Then are there any requirements for the songs you sing?” he asked.

“Sing whatever you want, just one request, don’t disturb me.” The man on the other end of the phone seemed a little impatient, and his voice was very cold.

What kind of request is this?

Shen Chang’an frowned, wanting him to sing in the middle of the night, but also not wanting him to disturb him.

    A human-shaped music player?

    A live lullaby?

“Okay, is there anything else you need?”

Even though he was complaining in his heart, his voice was still clear and gentle, as if these requirements were no problem for him.

    “No.”

“Okay, then you wait for me, I’ll go get my guitar.”

The other end of the phone didn’t say anything, so Shen Chang’an took it as his acquiescence. After turning on the speakerphone, he put the phone on the edge of the bed next to him, then picked up the slightly fat Berber from his lap and walked to the cat’s nest in the corner of the room, and put it in. Berber, who had finally been pacified by him, was confused by his actions.

Human, don’t you want me anymore?

Its big eyes were fixed on Shen Chang’an, as if to confirm whether he was going to abandon his owner.

Shen Chang’an rubbed its head and soothed softly, “It’s okay, it’s okay, Berber, go to sleep, I won’t disturb you, be good.”

He got up and went to the room where he had just streamed and brought the guitar over, and sat down by the bed again. The soft carpet blocked the coldness of the floor, leaving only warmth and comfort.

Berber shook its tail, lay down in the cat’s nest, opened its round eyes, turned its body and glanced at the two-legged beast sitting not far away who was busy, and soft music rang in his ears.

Listening to the familiar music, its eyes narrowed more and more, until it fell asleep again.
