    Chapter 10: Heated PK

    “Huff…”

Cheng Yi opened his drowsy eyes, threw back the covers, and slowly stretched, his body gradually waking up with the movement.

    Another comfortable sleep last night.

He opened his phone, and WeChat messages were already at 99+.

He guessed it was He Zhou and the others having a wild night and shouting in the group.

Sure enough, a group chat named “The Universe’s Invincible Hottie Boy Group (26)” had a message count of 99+.

Cheng Yi was too lazy to click in and see. He looked at the first person in his chat list.

    08:28

    [Little Fox: Good morning!]

    Waking up so early?

Cheng Yi subconsciously checked the time.

    10:46

    [Cy: Morning]

After replying, Cheng Yi was about to exit and see if there were any other messages he needed to respond to when he saw the words “Little Fox” above the screen change to “Typing…”

Cheng Yi waited for a while…

Several minutes had passed, and it still showed “Typing…” but no message was sent. What was going on?

Cheng Yi frowned, very puzzled. Could it be that the other person just happened to open the keyboard but wasn’t near their phone?

    He tentatively sent a message.

    [Cy: Have you eaten?]

Immediately, the other person replied very quickly.

[Little Fox: I had breakfast already. Lunch will be later.]

    Huh?

Cheng Yi looked at the message and laughed. What was Little Fox doing? Trying to be cute?

[Cy: Were you writing a short essay just now?]

    Shen Chang’an: …

Shen Chang’an’s face instantly turned red when he saw this message. This person had been waiting for him to send a message the whole time?

He had been hesitating for a long time. Seeing that Cheng Yi was awake, he wanted to chat with him, but he didn’t know how to start. He typed a few words and then deleted them, typed a few more and deleted them again, but couldn’t figure out what to say.

Now, he was being told that the other person had been watching him struggle this whole time.

    Aaaaah!!!

Was he embarrassing himself in front of someone he liked?

    A short essay?

Shen Chang’an’s cheeks instantly flushed red and hot when he saw those words. Enduring his embarrassment, he typed on the phone screen with trembling fingers.

After sending the message, Cheng Yi saw that the other person was “Typing…” again. He narrowed his eyes, patiently waiting with what little patience he had.

A minute later, the other person finally sent a message.

    [Little Fox: I didn’t.]

These three words were his last bit of stubbornness.

Cheng Yi smiled helplessly when he saw the reply. His bright eyes were filled with fondness as he typed.

    [Cy: Okay, I believe you.]

When Shen Chang’an saw this message, the corners of his mouth were about to reach behind his reddened ears.

Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!

He grabbed Berber, who was passing by, and rubbed Berber’s little belly, petting him like crazy.

“Berber, you wait, Daddy will definitely win over your Daddy.”

Berber’s fur was ruffled a lot. Unable to bear it, he struggled to escape his embrace and ran out of the bedroom.

Shen Chang’an ignored him, trying to calm his excited, jumping heart, and focused on other things, not wanting to bother Cheng Yi anymore.

At eight o’clock in the evening, he started his livestream on time.

Sitting in front of the camera, he had already returned to his usual cold and aloof self.

    “Good evening, everyone!”

Looking at the rapidly increasing number of viewers in the livestream, Shen Chang’an greeted them with a smile.

“Welcome to Mu An’s livestream. There’s a Fortune Bag in the upper right corner, you can grab it. The livestream just started, so let’s wait for a while for more people to join. When there are enough people, let’s go ‘Going to the Wilderness’.”

Before starting the livestream, he had sent a message in the WeChat membership group and also sent a message to Cheng Yi. Pursuing someone was one thing, business was another. Cheng Yi was his only “Big Brother” in the livestream, so of course, he had to be proactive.

    “Wife, good evening!”

    “Good evening.”

    “(Well-behaved)”

    “Baby, good evening.”

    “Morning.”

    “Here, here.”

    “Wife, you’re so beautiful tonight!”

Tonight, Shen Chang’an was wearing a black satin deep V shirt. The satin fabric had its own luster, and under the spotlight, it shimmered gently with the movement of his body, like the ripples on the water, adding a touch of luxury and nobility. The deep V neckline not only elongated his neck, making it look more slender, but also revealed his delicate collarbones, making him look sexy and charming.

“How is baby so sexy tonight?”

“He used to button his shirts all the way up. Why is he willing to show his collarbones today?”

    “Something’s up!!!”

“Hiss, baby, are you in love?”

    “What! Wife, you’re in love?”

    “I heard you got married?”

    “The streamer has a child.”

    “What? The streamer is remarried?”

Seeing the increasingly outrageous comments, Shen Chang’an shook his head with a smile and quickly explained, “No, the streamer hasn’t even been in a relationship yet. What’s wrong with you guys? Why are you so good at spreading rumors?”

He cleared his throat and said slowly, “I just suddenly wanted to dress like this. Don’t you guys always say in the livestream that I dress like a government official, not showing you anything? Well, now you see it, right? The streamer still has fashionable clothes in his closet.”

“Do you guys believe what he’s saying?”

    “No x1”

    “No x2”

    “No x100086”

    “The streamer is lying again.”

Shen Chang’an stopped looking at the comments. His phone buzzed, and he opened it, a smile instantly appearing in his eyes.

[Cy: Okay, I’ll be there later.]

After reading the message, he put his phone aside and quickly stopped the comments from going too far, almost saying that he had grandchildren.

“Alright, it’s almost time. Let’s… uh? Someone’s inviting me.”

The livestream system prompted that Uncle Quan had invited him to join a connection.

Shen Chang’an remembered that he was a more powerful streamer he had met last night, and he also remembered the favor the other person had done for him in the end, so he accepted without hesitation.

Uncle Quan: “Little Mu, want to do a PK?”

Shen Chang’an asked with a smile, “Sure, just the two of us?”

Uncle Quan held up his hand to the camera and showed a ‘4’: “For four people. Someone challenged me, asking me to find my own teammates. They’re pretty strong. I asked a few people, but they all rejected me. Can you do it?”

Shen Chang’an thought for a moment and said, “Uncle, I’m definitely willing to be your teammate, but I don’t have many people here. I might drag you down.”

Shen Chang’an glanced at the upper right corner. The three avatars there weren’t the ones he usually saw. Since Cy hadn’t sent any gifts, his avatar wasn’t there, so Shen Chang’an didn’t know if Cheng Yi had come yet.

Uncle Quan waved his hand nonchalantly and said loudly, “It’s okay, your presence is enough. Actually, I don’t have many points either.”

He looked very carefree, smiling as he said, “Just think of it as Uncle taking you out to meet some new friends.”

Shen Chang’an took a deep breath, looking at him gratefully. Since the other person was willing to take him along, he couldn’t continue to decline. “Alright, thank you, Uncle.”

Uncle Quan laughed and said, “Aiya, don’t be so polite. Don’t worry, I don’t have many points either. We’ll just take the punishment together.”

Uncle Quan: “I’m inviting the other two in.”

    Shen Chang’an: “Okay.”

The other two streamers quickly joined the connection. One was a male streamer named Yang Yangyangyangyang, and the other was a female streamer named Sister Qian Rou.

These two were both big streamers similar to Uncle Quan, with over three million fans each. Over fifty thousand people were watching their livestreams.

Sister Qian Rou was the first to greet him: “Hello, Streamer Mu An.”

    Yang Yangyangyangyang: “Mu An, hello.”

Shen Chang’an obediently replied, “Hello, Sister. Hello, Yang Bro.”

Yang Yangyangyangyang looked at Shen Chang’an’s personal page and then teased Uncle Quan, “Old Quan, is this the teammate you found for yourself? Why are you so mean, deliberately bringing a small streamer out to be punished?”

Uncle Quan glared at him, pretending to be angry. “What do you mean deliberately? And punished? Funny, when I beat both of you later, you’ll know the strength of my livestream family.”

Yang Yangyangyangyang said with a smile, “Okay, Qian Rou, did you hear that? He wants to beat both of us alone. Did the family in the livestream hear that? We can’t underestimate him later. There’s a new streamer here too, so let’s put some pressure on him later.”

Yang Yangyangyangyang’s tone was very arrogant, and Shen Chang’an was a little annoyed, but looking at his livestream with only five thousand viewers, he suppressed his anger. This PK was just Uncle Quan taking him out to see the world. Uncle Quan hadn’t even spoken yet, so he couldn’t say anything first.

Seeing the tension between the two, Sister Qian Rou jumped in to liven up the atmosphere. “Okay, okay, why are you two fighting as soon as you meet? Let’s talk about what kind of game we’re playing.”

Uncle Quan thought for a moment and said, “Let’s do a team total score battle, just like we agreed at the beginning. You two are a team, and Little Mu and I are a team.”

Yang Yangyangyangyang nodded in agreement, and Sister Qian Rou didn’t have any objections either. As a small fry, Shen Chang’an was even less likely to say anything.

Seeing that they all agreed, Uncle Quan said, “Okay, five minutes then. I’m starting, okay? Muting my mic. See you later.”

Shen Chang’an nodded. “See you later.”

After muting their mics one by one, Shen Chang’an took a deep breath to calm down, looking at the livestream, smiling and creating a lively atmosphere, saying, “Babies, I have a feeling this PK is going to be expensive. Everyone, do your best. We just need to try not to drag Uncle Quan down.”

“Gifting is doubled now, and there’s a 19-second countdown. If you guys have the ability, send out the largest gift you can now. The score will be doubled at this time.”

The first 30 seconds of double points ended, and Shen Chang’an only had a little over five thousand points, while Uncle Quan had over two hundred thousand points. Their combined score was over two hundred and seventy thousand.

But the combined score of the other two streamers directly exceeded six hundred thousand.

Shen Chang’an pursed his dry lips, feeling anxious but helpless. If he really didn’t want to drag Uncle Quan down, he would have given up.

The fans in the livestream with his fan badges knew that the strength of the two sides was too different, but they didn’t lose heart. They were voluntarily shouting for people to donate.

    “Family, send gifts!”

“Sisters with the ability, send gifts!”

“Baby, don’t worry, we’ll take it slow.”

“Does this person dare to come and play with this little strength?”

“Where is the manager? Get to work! @Strawberry Mousse Little Cake”

    “@Strawberry Mousse Little Cake”

“Coming, coming! I’m done with work. Welcome, sisters, please continue to help introduce work, haha.”

“You’re welcome, sisters. Let’s send gifts to the streamer. We can’t let the streamer lose face.”

“The person upstairs is definitely a true fan.”

Shen Chang’an’s heart softened inexplicably as he looked at the comments.

He had a group of very lovely fans.

His somewhat dispirited eyes became firm. He thanked them for their support.

“Thank you, Fish Doesn’t Eat Fish, for a sports car.”

“Thank you, Strawberry Mousse Little Cake, for a private jet.”

“Thank you, OrangeOrangeOrangeOrange, for a hot air balloon.”

“Thank you, Loves Rainy Days, for a Heart-Shaped Rabbit.”

“Babies, let’s each give a small heart to increase the number of supporters. If the number of supporters reaches the goal, we’ll have a second wave of 1.5x bonus. We’re still 45 people short.”

“Thank you, Lucky, for a lavender estate. We’re still 23 people short!”

“16 people left! There are 10 seconds left in the countdown. Can anyone help us increase the number of supporters? …5 seconds, 9 people short, 3 people short…”

    …The goal wasn’t reached.

Just a little bit, just 3 people short.

Shen Chang’an was a little disappointed, but looking at the rapidly scrolling comments in the livestream, he restrained his emotions and quickly comforted his fans.

“It’s okay, it’s okay, everyone, don’t be sad. Let’s just send gifts like this.”

“Only 3 people short, damn it.”

“The person upstairs, don’t curse, it will affect the livestream.”

    “Only 3 people short!!! Sad.”

    “Baby, don’t be sad.”

“Mu Mu, I got a critical hit card. Should we use it?”

After using the critical hit card, the gift points received within a period of time will have a certain chance to be doubled. This requires fans to have good luck to draw. They are some of the props in the PK gameplay. In addition to this, there are also mist cards and borrowing cards, all of which have a chance to be drawn after fans send Heart-Shaped Rabbits.

“Critical hit card?” Shen Chang’an glanced at the remaining time in the PK, which was one and a half minutes. Turning his eyes to the other side, whose score was almost three times higher than theirs, he stopped thinking. “Use it now.”

Cy sent a Carnival x1 x2 x3…x23 in the livestream.

The Carnival’s special effect appeared. The system prompt for Cy’s gifts hadn’t disappeared. One, two, three… until he sent twenty-three. Shen Chang’an’s points reached 100+ million. Adding them together with Uncle Quan’s points, they led the other side by nearly three hundred and twenty thousand points.

Shen Chang’an widened his eyes slightly, his heart surging.

“Thank you, Boss Cy, for the 23 Carnivals. I’m really grateful, Boss Cy. Thank you for the support, Boss is generous.”

“Cy, you’re finally here. I was wondering what kind of punishment I would have to do later, what kind of performance I would have to give.”

The nerves that had been tense since the start of the PK relaxed because of this person’s arrival.

Shen Chang’an looked at the Carnival’s special effects flashing constantly in the livestream, his eyes narrowed with laughter.

“Family, did you see that? What is this?”

“This is the sense of security from Boss Cy.”

He glanced at the countdown, which had 42 seconds left. Looking at the nearly twenty-point lead, he waved his hand, his eyes filled with unconcealable happiness. He said with a smile, “We finally don’t have to worry about dragging Uncle Quan down.”

Shen Chang’an relaxed and picked up the water glass on the side to moisten his throat. Just as he was drinking, the other two people’s points suddenly increased rapidly.

    “Eh!”

    “They’re gaining points!”

The facts proved that he had relaxed too early. When playing PK with strong streamers, no one knew the outcome until the last second.

Shen Chang’an didn’t bother to drink the water. He quickly put the glass down, watching the PK score nervously. After confirming that the other side’s score had surpassed theirs, he turned his head and stared blankly at the livestream.

    “They surpassed us.”

    Cy sent Dragon Rider x1 x2 x3…

The scores of the two sides were still tightly intertwined, and the red and blue PK bars collided fiercely in the center of the screen.

    …x55 x56…x99 x100

The PK countdown ended, and the winner was…

    Shen Chang’an and Uncle Quan!!!
