The Real Young Master Wants To Get Married First When He Returns Home Chapter 9
byChapter 9: Don’t Make Me Tie You Up
Do you know what you did wrong?
Shen Li had gone from shouting curses at the beginning to gradually falling silent as slap after slap landed on his backside.
Summer clothes couldn’t block the man’s strength at all. Gu Yunzhao was well aware of how much force he was using; Shen Li’s bottom was likely already swollen after just a few hits.
Just a moment ago, the boy had been screaming for him to pay the price, but now he was remarkably quiet.
Gu Yunzhao was a bit surprised, but then he figured that since Shen Li was still young, he was probably scared into submission.
He stopped his hand and even gave a couple of soothing rubs, which only caused the person beneath him to tremble slightly.
If you know you were wrong, say it, Gu Yunzhao coaxed him. Say it, and I’ll stop hitting you.
Shen Li still didn’t speak.
Gu Yunzhao frowned. Was this an admission of guilt or silent resistance?
The living room, now devoid of the sound of slapping, fell silent, leaving only the sound of their alternating breaths.
Still not talking?
Gu Yunzhao leaned down to look at him. The kid’s eyes were red, and he was biting his lip without a word, tears falling silently like beads.
Why are you crying? Gu Yunzhao said somewhat helplessly. You make a mistake and cry after only a few hits. Why are you so delicate?
I’m not crying. As soon as Shen Li spoke, he realized his voice was hoarse. He remained stubborn, immediately biting his lip again after speaking.
Let go.
Gu Yunzhao repeated the action from the car. The hand that had been on Shen Li’s waist moved to rescue his lower lip. Don’t bite it raw again. You child, I can’t tell if you’re afraid of pain or not.
If he wasn’t afraid, he wouldn’t be crying after just a few hits. But if he was, he wouldn’t be biting himself until he bled without making a sound.
Shen Li sniffled, trying his best to suppress the urge to sob so his tone would sound colder. Just beat me to death then!
As soon as the words left his mouth, he couldn’t hold back the sob in his voice. It was hoarse and soft, ending with a hiccup.
Gu Yunzhao’s heart softened instantly.
Forget it, he thought. He’s just a child after all. I was too impulsive today. Why am I taking it out on a kid?
Truly, he had to bear the consequences of his own actions. He was the one who made the boy cry, so now he had to use a gentle voice to coax him. I was wrong. Xiao Li, stop crying, okay?
I told you, I’m not crying. Shen Li’s voice was muffled; he refused to admit he was crying.
You bastard, Shen Li thought, gritting his teeth. I’ll pretend to cry to lower your guard, and once you let me up, see if I don’t beat you to death.
Fine, fine, you’re not crying. Gu Yunzhao felt helpless. He had intended to teach the boy a lesson and had even looked up child education books, but his first attempt had ended in failure.
The books didn’t teach him how to be heartless toward someone who was both stubborn and prone to acting spoiled.
I just wanted to teach you that you shouldn’t lie. If you admit you were wrong, I’ll let go and take you out to dinner, okay?
Gu Yunzhao’s voice was full of resignation. He was the one who started the confrontation, yet now he had to coax the little liar to stop crying.
Lying? Shen Li sneered inwardly. So what if he lied? Did Gu Yunzhao really think being a guardian made him his father? Even those two old fogies didn’t care, yet this guy wanted to educate him.
But he didn’t show it on his face, maintaining his pitiful, tearful appearance. After a long while, he spoke with a sob, First… let me go first.
I can let you go. Gu Yunzhao hadn’t planned on holding him down forever. He had only pinned him to his lap to discipline him because he was frustrated by the little liar’s audacity. Now that the boy was crying, he naturally wanted to get him up and comfort him. Do you know what you did wrong? Gu Yunzhao stroked his hair rhythmically. Admit it, and I’ll let you up.
I know… Shen Li whispered, bracing his hands on Gu Yunzhao’s thighs to straighten up. Brother, let me go.
Having achieved his goal of discipline, Gu Yunzhao stopped making things difficult and even kindly gave him a boost by the waist to help him up. However, he still had to finish what he needed to say. Since Shen Li was his fiancé, he was also his property, and Gu Yunzhao could not tolerate his property going out of control.
He squeezed Shen Li’s waist twice, his tone gentle yet threatening. Little Shen Li, don’t lie to me again, or you know the consequences…
I know… I know your damn business!
Shen Li’s face changed faster than a lightning strike.
One moment he was softly admitting his mistake, but the second Gu Yunzhao let go, he flipped over and scrambled off the sofa.
Before Gu Yunzhao could react, Shen Li raised his leg and kicked him hard in the waist.
You pervert! Who do you think you are, daring to hit me? My own father doesn’t even care about me, and you think having guardianship makes you my dad? If you want to be my father that badly, then hurry up and die, leave all your money to me in your will, and I’ll worship you on an altar every day with three sticks of incense and fruit!
Hiss. Caught off guard, Gu Yunzhao took the kick directly. He clutched his abdomen with one hand while the other reached out to grab Shen Li’s calf as he tried to kick again.
He was actually laughed out of anger. He thought the boy had admitted his mistake, but it turned out he was faking it. I don’t believe I can’t make you behave.
Keep dreaming! Shen Li wasn’t buying it. I’ve been roaming the streets for years and I’ve never been afraid of anyone.
Gu Yunzhao squeezed the calf and pulled, intending to stand up and catch Shen Li.
The size difference was too great. Due to childhood malnutrition, Shen Li was still thin and couldn’t shake off the hand gripping his leg. He resorted to using his fists to strike at Gu Yunzhao’s eyes.
He had always fought with ruthlessness and madness. Taking advantage of his flexibility, even with his leg being pulled into a near-split, he twisted his waist to dodge Gu Yunzhao’s reaching hand and even managed to land another punch.
However, Shen Li’s street fighting relied entirely on instinct without any technique; he was naturally no match for Gu Yunzhao’s formal training. If Gu Yunzhao hadn’t been worried about hurting him, he would have restrained him long ago.
But after taking two punches, Gu Yunzhao managed to grip one leg with one hand and pin both of the boy’s wrists with the other, trapping him in a small space.
You’ve even learned how to fight back? Gu Yunzhao poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, right where Shen Li had slapped him during the struggle. Shen Li really didn’t follow any rules when fighting—slapping faces and pulling hair were all fair game. Because Gu Yunzhao was holding back, he had actually suffered quite a bit.
Behave yourself. Don’t make me tie you up.
Gu Yunzhao threatened him.
Heh. Shen Li sneered. Let’s see if you actually have the ability to tie me up first.
With that, he used the leverage from Gu Yunzhao’s grip on his hands to push off. His one free leg swung up and kicked toward Gu Yunzhao’s lower abdomen.
Hiss. The lower abdomen was too sensitive; Gu Yunzhao gasped. No man could leave that area unguarded. The hand that had been gripping Shen Li’s calf instinctively pulled back to block the incoming leg.
Shen Li hadn’t actually expected the kick to land; he just wanted to force Gu Yunzhao to let go while he instinctively defended himself. Having achieved his goal, even though he fell onto his butt on the floor, it didn’t stop him from scrambling up and bolting.
The door slammed shut. Shen Li ducked into the nearest room and locked it from the inside to prevent Gu Yunzhao from following.
Shen Li gritted his teeth. He would never let Gu Yunzhao get away with what happened today.
