The Flower Of The High Mountain Is Pregnant With The Son Of The Sand Sculpture Ceo Chapter 8
byChapter 8: I’m Interested in You
Lu Shangyan worked part-time year-round. Although he didn’t tan easily, the skin exposed outside his clothes was still slightly darker than the skin hidden underneath.
Pei Yumin looked up and only saw white… still white.
And firm abs and a V-line.
His head felt hot, his nose felt hot, and he immediately raised his hand to cover his nostrils to prevent any accidents.
But this took on a different meaning in Lu Shangyan’s eyes. He quickly pulled his clothes down. “No way, did I make you sick?”
Pei Yumin had originally thought Lu Shangyan was finally catching on, and was about to confirm their relationship, get married, and live happily ever after.
He had almost decided where they would be buried, but Lu Shangyan pulled his clothes back down.
Pei Yumin’s expression dimmed. By the time he finally realized what Lu Shangyan had just said, Lu Shangyan had already gotten out of the car and walked away.
He quickly chased after him, only to hear Lu Shangyan say, “What they say online isn’t very accurate.”
Pei Yumin asked him, “What did you read?”
Lu Shangyan said, “I saw a highly-rated answer online that said the one who tries to seduce the other is more suitable to be on the bottom.”
He met Pei Yumin’s gaze and said earnestly, “Looks like I’m not.”
Pei Yumin recalled the message he had secretly glimpsed earlier, and his mind raced. “You can’t trust everything online. Besides, how can you use such superficial knowledge to determine that?”
Seeing Lu Shangyan remain silent, he added an example. “If you get a small red spot on your body and look it up online, they’ll tell you it’s a terminal illness.”
Lu Shangyan lowered his head and looked at the screen again.
Since childhood, whenever he made a mistake in school, he would review the problem repeatedly until he truly understood it.
In that sense, his judgment regarding the position in bed was indeed a bit hasty.
Pei Yumin followed behind him. When they got into the elevator, seeing that they were alone, he lowered his voice and asked, “That night, were you uncomfortable?”
It had been a long time since the night at the hotel was mentioned, and Lu Shangyan almost didn’t react in time.
But he had been drunk that night, his head fuzzy. He remembered it feeling quite comfortable, but: “When I woke up, I felt a bit swollen, and my backside was uncomfortable.”
When he returned to school, he kept wanting to clamp his legs together because he felt like water was going to leak out, but he also felt swollen. In short, it made him very uneasy.
Pei Yumin pursed his lips. The elevator was about to stop, so he quickly added, “That’s because my technique wasn’t good! Otherwise, the aftermath would be very comfortable too!”
Lu Shangyan glanced at him, genuinely considering the question.
He remembered there were many marks on the sheets and on his underwear. If Pei Yumin’s technique was bad and he still felt that way…
Thinking about it, his mind became confused.
In a moment of distraction, Lu Shangyan’s lower back bumped into the open shoe cabinet door at the entrance. It didn’t hurt. Usually, he would just cover it with his hand and rub it, but this time, as he rubbed, his hand moved forward, pinching his belly and pressing down on his lower abdomen.
He lowered his head, unconvinced. His abs were still there, but something felt wrong. The muscle wasn’t as firm as before, and when he touched it, it felt a little soft—a softness that was unusual.
Yet, he had recently found a new part-time job, and his exercise volume was clearly greater than before.
Pei Yumin washed his hands and returned, seeing him still standing blankly in the entryway, his hand patting his stomach intermittently. “Are you hungry? Want some supper?”
Lu Shangyan hadn’t planned on eating; he wanted to lose weight. But Pei Yumin had already opened the refrigerator, which contained freshly bought tomatoes that looked very juicy.
He thought for a moment and said, “I want tomato and egg noodles.”
So Pei Yumin obediently took one out. Noticing Lu Shangyan’s gaze fixed on his hand, he picked out the best-looking tomato, washed it, and handed it to him. “Go wait on the sofa. If you’re hungry, eat this to tide you over. The noodles will be ready soon.”
Lu Shangyan hadn’t liked tomatoes before, perhaps because he was busy earning money every day and only ate instant food or the school cafeteria. No one had ever washed one for him and told him to sit on the sofa and eat slowly. It was the first time he realized that tomatoes tasted quite good.
When he was halfway through the tomato, the aroma wafted out from the closed kitchen door. He slowly walked over, pulled the door open slightly, and peered inside.
Before he could speak, Pei Yumin said, “I just finished stir-frying the vegetables. It’s smoky. Go wait outside. It’ll be ready in five minutes.”
Lu Shangyan took another bite. Juice ran onto his fingers, and Pei Yumin, distracted, pulled out a napkin for him to wipe them.
Lu Shangyan finally found a chance to speak. “I’ll pay for the groceries from now on.”
During their cohabitation, Pei Yumin often drove him to and from work, bought groceries, cooked, and did housework. He truly felt embarrassed to continue enjoying so many “nanny services.”
Pei Yumin knew what he meant and immediately agreed.
Lu Shangyan occasionally got stubborn. If he didn’t agree, Lu Shangyan probably wouldn’t eat much of the meal later.
But Pei Yumin had his own countermeasures. For example, after serving the noodles, seeing that Lu Shangyan loved the shrimp paste inside, he immediately messaged the housekeeper at home, telling him to buy a few more pounds of Australian lobster, process it into shrimp paste, and store it for his next use.
Lu Shangyan looked up and affirmed, “The vegetables bought early at the market are indeed very fresh.”
In reality, Pei Yumin always pretended to go downstairs for a stroll, then retrieved the ingredients that had been prepared earlier from his car.
But Lu Shangyan was completely unaware of all this.
–
On the day of the photoshoot, Xia Li was waiting for Lu Shangyan at the school gate early in the morning, accompanied by a short-haired girl wearing a dark red dress printed with strawberries, with a circle of white lace at the bottom. Even her earrings were small strawberries.
Lu Shangyan looked over and immediately thought she was adorable, like someone who had stepped out of a cartoon.
But when she spoke, the impression completely changed. “Hello.”
That overly deep voice.
Lu Shangyan’s raised foot suddenly paused, and a look of helplessness appeared in his eyes as he looked at Xia Li.
Xia Li chuckled and introduced, “This is my good friend.”
Lu Shangyan opened and closed his mouth, taking a deep breath before looking at “Little Strawberry.” “Hello, I’m Lu Shangyan.”
The other person smiled. “I know. My name is Zhao Jian, but I prefer people to call me Xiaofu.”
“Oh… oh, Xiao…” Lu Shangyan muttered several times before saying, “Xiaofu.”
It was the first time he had met a… boy who showed no masculine characteristics, and he wasn’t sure how to react.
Xia Li laughed out loud. “He’s my friend Shi Yu’s little boyfriend. He heard I was going to the shop today, so he said he wanted to come with me.”
Lu Shangyan didn’t know where to look, and his face quickly flushed with heat.
Xiaofu wanted to tease him even more. “I’m not Shi Yu’s boyfriend, I’m her puppy.”
Lu Shangyan licked his lips, which were completely dry from the heat. “Oh… mm.”
Xia Li quickly walked over and slapped him on the back. “Zhao Jian, you can’t go a day without being a jerk, can you! I’ll tell on you!”
Xiaofu started speaking in a pinched voice. “I told you to call me Xiaofu! Go ahead and tell on me. I like it when Shi Yu is mean to me, so you’d just be helping me out.”
Xia Li walked between them. “Behave yourself. He’s not like you. He doesn’t understand all that weird stuff you talk about.”
Xiaofu remembered what Xia Li had said on the way. “Got it.” He then looked at Lu Shangyan. “Pufferfish-kun.”
He had ridden his motorcycle, but since he couldn’t carry two people, he parked the bike in the school parking lot and took a taxi with them.
On the way, Xiaofu asked him what his impression of him was. Lu Shangyan still didn’t dare look at his face, only saying, “Quite a contrast.”
Xiaofu laughed and insisted on adding him as a friend. When he saw Lu Shangyan’s cracked screen, his expression froze.
Xia Li quickly changed the subject. “There will be other part-time models coming for the shoot later, so Da Yu hired three extra photographers. Since you’re early, you can choose one to start shooting with. Zhao Jian knows the specific workflow.”
She thought about Lu Shangyan’s orientation, worried that he might feel uncomfortable with a female photographer, and even more uncomfortable with a male photographer, so she simply let Lu Shangyan choose for himself.
Xu Fang came over, spoke briefly with Lu Shangyan, and then went to the separate room for the shoot. Xia Li and Xiaofu exchanged glances, sighing and shaking their heads in unison.
Xiaofu said, “Does he really have a boyfriend? I feel like he’s straight.”
Xia Li said, “Maybe his gaydar is disconnected, or it only works for his boyfriend.”
Xiaofu narrowed his eyes, looking expectant. “Do you think his boyfriend knows he’s shooting with a queer person and changing clothes in front of him? Will he get angry and teach him a harsh lesson?”
Xia Li covered his mouth. “Not everyone has special fetishes like you!”
Xiaofu mumbled intermittently, “I think he definitely likes it; it just hasn’t been discovered yet.”
Lu Shangyan shot six outfits that morning, which wasn’t a lot. It was only eleven o’clock when he finished.
After changing back into his clothes, he found a business card in his pocket. He didn’t know when Xu Fang had slipped it in.
Lu Shangyan thought it was for convenient communication regarding the photos or to arrange the next shoot, so he added Xu Fang’s WeChat using the number on the card.
The other side accepted quickly, and their message speed was fast too.
[I’ll edit the photos as soon as possible. Feel free to contact me with any feedback.]
The professional attitude completely dispelled Lu Shangyan’s guard.
Xiaofu pressed down on his hand as he was replying. “He’s interested in you. He probably figured out you’re the bottom. He’s pretending to be a big bad wolf to lure you in.”
Lu Shangyan took a moment to process the words. “How can you tell I’m the bottom?”
Xiaofu couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “Actually, you look more like a straight guy, so I think you’re more likely the middle one.”
Lu Shangyan’s eyes lit up. “You know a lot.”
“I’ve never been on top myself. I only know I’m more compatible with the same sex, but I’m not sure what I’m suited to… do.”
Xiaofu had his own special fetishes. He was open-minded, liked being disciplined, and enjoyed watching straight men being disciplined.
He immediately offered, “I have a few treasured videos here. I’ll send them to you later. After watching them, you’ll know whether you’re more suited to lie flat or put in the effort.”
Lu Shangyan nodded, but since there was no internet on the road, he didn’t download them. He planned to wait until he finished class in the afternoon and was alone at home to observe them carefully.
So he waited until he got home and had free Wi-Fi before starting the download. However, at that time, many people in the neighborhood were using the internet, and his phone was slow. The progress bar barely moved for a long time, so he put the phone on the desk and went to take a shower.
He didn’t think much of it, assuming they were short educational videos about orientation, just like the sex education videos shown in physiology class.
But when he came out of the bathroom, he saw Pei Yumin holding his nearly falling-apart phone.
Pei Yumin’s expression was incredibly complex. Just as Lu Shangyan was wondering why, a man’s loud moan suddenly erupted from the phone, followed by the phrase, “Fuck me dead.”
