The Flower Of The High Mountain Is Pregnant With The Son Of The Sand Sculpture Ceo Chapter 32
byChapter 32 Give Me a Feel, Give Me a Feel~…
When Pei Yumin heard him say that, his legs immediately went weak.
Lu Shangyan had always been able to endure pain; for him to actually say it out loud in front of him, the situation must have become very serious!
He rushed to the bedside, pressed the call button, and reached out to lift Lu Shangyan’s clothes. “Let me see what’s going on first.”
Seeing the look on Lu Shangyan’s face, he quickly added, “Or let me feel it. Why would it be uncomfortable? Is something growing inside?”
Lu Shangyan gripped his collar tightly. Seeing Pei Yumin’s anxious and concerned expression, he felt something was fishy. “Are you faking it?”
Pei Yumin clutched his chest. “How could I be! I genuinely care about you!”
“No need to feel!” During the struggle, Lu Shangyan was jostled and felt pain, his entire face scrunching up. “You’re not a doctor, you won’t understand even if you touch it.”
Pei Yumin insisted, “I’m worried about you. If I feel it, I’ll be more at ease. If something really is growing, we can schedule surgery early.”
Lu Shangyan gritted his teeth and glared at him. “You’re doing this on purpose!”
Pei Yumin sheepishly withdrew his hand, giving a few awkward laughs. Under Lu Shangyan’s scrutinizing gaze, he acted as if nothing had happened, turning around to stand by the bed. “The doctor is here.”
On the first day Lu Shangyan was admitted to the hospital, after the doctor performed several detailed examinations, Pei Yumin already knew that Lu Shangyan’s body would undergo some “unexpected” changes in the future. He just hadn’t expected it to happen so quickly.
Initially, he was genuinely worried, but when he leaned closer and saw Lu Shangyan’s flustered and slightly flushed face, he immediately realized it was due to the pregnancy.
So he… unfortunately, he didn’t succeed this time, and Lu Shangyan saw right through him.
But it didn’t matter. He was going home with Lu Shangyan, and they would be living together every day, seeing each other constantly. He would always find an opportunity.
Besides, they were getting married. By then, let alone feeling it, if Lu Shangyan was truly uncomfortable, he could even lean in and suckle if needed.
After the doctor arrived, Lu Shangyan finally lifted his shirt. Pei Yumin stood not far away, using his height advantage to openly sneak a peek.
He didn’t know when those two small things had become red and swollen, but judging by Lu Shangyan’s expression, they must have been bothering him for a while.
After a preliminary examination, the doctor simply said, “It’s a normal phenomenon. Having your boyfriend apply a warm compress will make it much more comfortable. If you’re still worried, we can do a detailed examination tomorrow morning.”
Lu Shangyan quickly pulled his shirt down. “He is not my boyfriend.”
The doctor paused, exchanged a look with Pei Yumin, and didn’t pursue the topic.
Lu Shangyan had studied knowledge about gestation during his classes, but those were based on oral medicine. So, at first, he wasn’t sure if the swelling and pain in his chest were due to pregnancy. It wasn’t until he saw Pei Yumin rush over that he immediately understood.
After the doctor left, he was completely relieved. Thankfully, it wasn’t due to illness.
Pei Yumin prepared hot water, soaked a new cotton towel, wrung it out, folded it into a square, and stood before him again. “I’ll help you with the warm compress.”
Now that he held the towel, he had a legitimate reason to touch him.
Lu Shangyan reached for it. “I’ll do it myself. You should go out first.”
Pei Yumin insisted, “It’s inconvenient for you to keep looking down. If I help you, I can constantly check the situation and change the hot towel promptly.”
In less than a day, Lu Shangyan felt like Pei Yumin had become a different person.
Lu Shangyan stared at his face, maintaining the standoff for a few seconds. Maybe Pei Yumin hadn’t changed at all. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have clung to his leg in the hotel demanding responsibility in the first place! It was just that Lu Shangyan hadn’t considered it before, and after Pei Yumin learned about the pregnancy, he completely let loose…
Now that he knew Pei Yumin was doing it on purpose, he still couldn’t do anything about it. “It’s inconvenient with you here!”
“What’s inconvenient? It’s very convenient.” Pei Yumin straightened up, remembering Yuan Qingyu’s words from earlier. “How about I ask my mother to come over then?”
Lu Shangyan was slightly annoyed and said coldly, “Forget it, no compress.”
Failing to coerce him, Pei Yumin immediately softened, running back to reheat the towel. “I won’t bother you. Do it yourself, and tell me immediately if you feel uncomfortable.”
He then retreated a few steps and sat on the sofa. Seeing Pei Yumin’s head bowed in a seemingly wronged manner, Lu Shangyan’s heart softened. After all, Pei Yumin was doing it for his own good, and he had been a bit too harsh just now.
He lifted his shirt, placed the towel on, and turned his head, about to say something to ease the tension, when he saw Pei Yumin holding his phone but peeking over the top, secretly looking his way.
Caught in the act, Pei Yumin immediately grinned, straightened his head, and looked openly.
He still got his way! Lu Shangyan regretted it. He should have just kicked Pei Yumin out!
Pei Yumin said, “Logically, your situation is appearing a bit early. The doctor also said your case is special, and hormonal imbalance might be more severe. So I must watch over you carefully, lest you avoid seeking medical attention again.”
He paused, and seeing Lu Shangyan’s expression soften, he quickly added, “Last time you fainted in front of me, I was truly terrified. I was shaking so much I didn’t even have the strength to hold you. I don’t want to go through that horrible experience a second time.”
As he spoke, he started shaking again, his voice even taking on a slight sob. “So I often think, if only I had forced you to come to the hospital back then, I wouldn’t have been so worried for so long.”
Lu Shangyan’s anger vanished. He even started to feel that he had genuinely wronged Pei Yumin a little.
But he didn’t know what to say. He looked at Pei Yumin’s eyes, red from suppressed emotion, and after a long moment, managed to squeeze out, “The towel… I think it needs changing.”
Pei Yumin immediately jumped up from the sofa, as if afraid Lu Shangyan would move first. He rushed over to take the towel off, examining it carefully. “It looks less swollen. Listening to the doctor was right. We should apply warm compresses three times a day—morning, noon, and night.”
He then ran off. Lu Shangyan watched his retreating back, silently covering his eyes with his hand.
He had just… been… tricked by Pei Yumin again!
The next day, when the nurse came to remind Lu Shangyan it was time for his examination, she opened the door and saw Pei Yumin kneeling on the floor, trying to put on Lu Shangyan’s shoes with a flattering expression.
Heaven knows how helpless Lu Shangyan felt when Pei Yumin had used his tricks to help him change clothes earlier.
Now, sensing the nurse’s gaze, Lu Shangyan was even more embarrassed, forcefully pushing Pei Yumin’s shoulder. “You don’t need to help me put them on, I can do it myself.”
Pei Yumin repeated his line: “You haven’t eaten breakfast. The examination later is physically demanding. Now is the time to conserve energy.”
Lu Shangyan gritted his teeth, his eyes signaling that he was a man and not that fragile. He had survived going hungry for days on end before, and he was fine.
Pei Yumin then said, “I want to be good to you. Is that not allowed?”
He acted when he could, and when he didn’t feel like acting, he used a direct approach. This back and forth left Lu Shangyan completely unable to figure out what he was up to.
The nurse, aware she was witnessing something she shouldn’t, reminded them without looking directly, “Please hurry up, time is almost up.”
Hearing this, Pei Yumin grabbed Lu Shangyan’s ankle, his face serious. “Did you hear that? Put them on quickly. We can’t keep all those doctors waiting for just you.”
Lu Shangyan’s tense shoulders relaxed. “Pei Yumin? Maybe you should take the opportunity to get your head checked later? These are slippers. You helping me is actually more trouble.”
Pei Yumin’s expression didn’t change. As if he hadn’t heard, he swiftly put the slippers on, then stood up and held out his hands.
Lu Shangyan immediately realized he intended to carry him. He quickly scrambled onto the bed, rolled over, got off on the other side, and hurried out of the room.
Pei Yumin smiled at his retreating figure, rubbing his hands together several times. He chased after him, calling out sweetly, “Slow down, be careful of your belly~”
Hearing his drawn-out, sing-song tone, Lu Shangyan wished he could take off his slipper and stuff it into Pei Yumin’s mouth. It would have been better not to break that window of pretense. He felt their relationship was becoming explosively strange!
And he had a faint feeling that this was not yet Pei Yumin’s most insane phase.
Lu Shangyan felt a headache, a terrible headache.
There were many tests to be done, and Lu Shangyan ran up and down several floors. Pei Yumin suggested borrowing a wheelchair countless times.
It finally ended when Lu Shangyan threatened him, “If you dare push me in a wheelchair, I’ll check out of the hospital immediately.”
But after he finished drawing blood, Pei Yumin started rubbing his hands together again, ready to carry him. “You lost so much blood, you must be anemic!”
Lu Shangyan was getting dizzy from being harassed, but he couldn’t show any weakness now. His back was straighter than ever; he wanted to march in place and do a few push-ups right in front of Pei Yumin to prove he was fine.
Finally, they reached the last examination, where he could see the developing child in his belly and take the opportunity to lie down and rest.
He turned his head and saw Pei Yumin with starry eyes. However, there were many professional doctors present this time, all eager to observe this “miracle” medical case and how he was gestating the fetus. He was afraid Pei Yumin would speak nonsense in front of so many people, saying something that would make him want to crawl into a hole.
So he shoved his phone into Pei Yumin’s arms. “Wait for me outside.”
Pei Yumin leaned close to his ear and whispered, “I want to see too. After all, this child is half mine.”
Lu Shangyan pursed his lips, then suddenly asked with a serious expression, “Then do you think I should keep him?”
Pei Yumin’s heart jumped. He took a step back and waved his hand. “You go in. I’ll wait for you here.”
He almost made a huge mistake! He absolutely could not become the external factor that swayed Lu Shangyan’s decision right now!
After everyone went inside, he could only lean by the door and peek. The curtain inside was drawn, and the exposed part of the screen was blocked by the conversing doctors. He waited for a long time but couldn’t find a suitable opportunity to catch a glimpse of the child.
Pei Yumin was so distraught he had to lean on the wall. His body started shaking again. He thought it was due to overwhelming sadness until a passing nurse quietly reminded him, “Sir, your phone keeps ringing.”
Pei Yumin realized it was Lu Shangyan’s phone set to vibrate.
It was an un-saved number. Pei Yumin didn’t want to answer, but the caller kept ringing, annoying the other patients.
He had no choice but to answer. Immediately, an angry voice came through. “Why didn’t you answer for so long? Are you dead!”
“You said you’d pay after the exams, but it’s been days! Are you not going to pay? I’m telling you, Lu Shangyan, if you don’t pay, I’ll sell your old family house! Your aunties can’t sell it, but I have a way!”
“You ungrateful dog, don’t be foolish. You better transfer the money back quickly!”
Pei Yumin recognized this as one of the leeches around Lu Shangyan. “Look at you shouting. It’s fifteen hundred, not fifteen million!”
“And can you stop being so malicious? He’s sick and in the hospital right now. You take his money and don’t bother to visit, only thinking about cursing him!”
The person on the other end paused. “Who are you?” Then, she said carelessly, “Never mind who you are. Is he seriously ill? If he is, don’t treat him. Leave all the money for us. He’ll die sooner or later anyway. If he’s not seriously ill, then definitely don’t treat him. He can just tough it out and save money.”
She calculated well, then figured out a fallback plan. “You’re with him at the hospital? Does that mean your relationship is pretty good? Perfect. He owes each of us fifteen hundred. You can pay it for him.”
How utterly shameless.
Pei Yumin wanted to curse, but this was a hospital, and the person was considered Lu Shangyan’s “relative.” He was afraid of upsetting Lu Shangyan, so after much thought, he decided to endure it for now.
“Fine, I’ll give you the money. Can you shut up now!”
The person, having gained an advantage, still didn’t let up, continuing to scold him for his poor attitude, calling him Lu Shangyan’s friend, disrespectful, trash, and scum.
Pei Yumin rolled his eyes, unable to hold it in anymore. He wanted to go somewhere private and unleash a torrent of abuse, but the door in front of him was pushed open.
All the doctors who had gone in came out, but Lu Shangyan didn’t.
He dropped everything, hung up the phone, and rushed over. “How is he?”
Uncle Wu chuckled at him. “It’s just an ultrasound. Anyone who didn’t know would think he gave birth in there.”
“He’s fine. He asked you to go in and take a look together.”
Pei Yumin immediately peered inside, meeting Lu Shangyan’s look of disgust. “Maybe you shouldn’t come in after all.”
How could Pei Yumin miss this chance? Before Lu Shangyan finished speaking, he slipped inside, a triumphant smile on his face. “Shangshang, I’m so moved I’m about to cry. So, can I feel the baby?”
