    Chapter 66 Three Days

Lu Qingrang sat in front of the computer, looking focused.

The dim light of the screen reflected on his face.

Countless lines of code scrolled upward at an astonishing speed. On the dark black background, green and white characters poured down like a waterfall. A few lines of dazzling red marks occasionally flashed through, all of which were accurately captured by his slender fingertips and quickly corrected.

His fingers danced on the keyboard, and the tapping sounds were so dense that it was almost impossible to hear the gaps.

Xu Weng just finished digesting a difficult-to-understand business terminology and raised his head while rubbing his swollen temples. His eyes happened to fall on Lu Qingrang’s hand.

I saw those slender fingers dancing lightly on the keyboard of an old laptop that had been used for many years and had worn out the shell. As he operated, amazing effects appeared on the screen.

Xu Wen looked a little lost in thought and couldn’t help but sigh in his heart.

    This is his old antique.

    “Three days.”

Lu Qing let his slender fingers leave the keyboard, and the code waterfall on the screen stopped.

He turned his seat and looked at Xu Wen.

“The module has been loaded successfully. With the strength of Nangong Chen’s team, it will take at least three days to repair the system.”

His voice was smooth and gentle, with determination.

“Xu Wen, we have three days to prepare.”

As their eyes met, the air became somewhat solid.

Xu Wen couldn’t see any hesitation in those eyes, only the determination that was ready to go.

    “Let’s get started.”

The moment these three words fell, it seemed as if a secret switch had been touched.

In the next three days, the two seemed to have reached some kind of silent consensus, turning the complex task of forming a company into countless small puzzle pieces, and then pieced them together perfectly.

Lu Qingrang’s eyes lifted from the screen where the code was flowing, crossed the edge of the computer, and landed on the opposite side.

Xu Wen was scratching his head and head at a pile of legal documents and business terms, curling his hair unconsciously with his fingertips, and mumbling something.

Lu Qingrang looked at him quietly for a few seconds, then looked away, tapping lightly on the keyboard a few times with his fingertips, and deleted one by one the alternative names he had already prepared at the top of the document.

“Company name,” he said, with a hint of hesitation in his voice, and his brows furrowed in response, “I thought about it a few times, but I think… it’s not appropriate.”

Xu Wen was indeed attracted to his attention. He raised his head and looked at Lu Qingrang with some surprise, who rarely showed such an expression.

Lu Qingrang met his gaze and spoke calmly, even asking for advice: “Well… I can’t think of it. What do you think it should be called?”

He threw the question lightly, as if it was really a problem that troubled him, and Xu Wen was the only person he could turn to.

Xu Wen blinked and saw Lu Qingrang’s sincere look for help, and his sense of responsibility was instantly overwhelming.

He immediately straightened his back and his brain started working rapidly.

He unconsciously looked out the window. The setting sun was sinking, and the warm golden light filled the sky. Through the glass, it enveloped him gently.

An inexplicable feeling surged into his heart, and he almost blurted out:

“Xiangyang! How about calling me Xiangyang?” He looked at Lu Qingrang with bright eyes, and explained with a little expectation and a little uncertainty, “It’s just… facing the sun, I feel very hopeful and bright! We will definitely get better and better in the future!”

Lu Qingrang looked at him quietly, looking at his eyes shining in the warm light.

“Okay.” He responded with a gentle smile on his lips.

He even added, “This name is very good.”

    Xu Wen: “…?”

    Is this settled?

Lu Qing let this recognition come too quickly and simply, making him a little confused.

“Just…is it settled like this?” he asked a little uncertainly.

“Yes.” Lu Qingrang turned back to the screen and typed the words “Xiangyang Technology” smoothly and firmly, “It’s settled.”

The name was decided, and the two of them planned their way forward while the iron was hot.

Lu Qingrang drew two parallel arrows on the white paper: “We have to do two things. The first is to create a brand new system, an unfettered sky.”

Xu Wen answered knowingly: “Second, when the company is just starting out, it should take on some small but precise projects first. This way it can maintain operations and accumulate experience.”

    Just do it.

In the days that followed, everything that could be accomplished remotely was rapidly advanced with the cooperation of the two.

From finalizing the core technology route to preparing various qualification documents, from remotely selecting an office on the edge of City A to purchasing the first batch of office equipment… countless matters, big or small, were settled one by one through the tacit cooperation of the two.

Until the evening of the third day.

Lu Qingrang gently pushed a neatly bound document in front of Xu Wen.

“One last thing.” His voice was still steady.

Xu Wen lowered his head and saw the equity holding agreement.

All the terms have been completed and written in black and white, just waiting to be put into writing.

“Xu Wen,” Lu Qingrang said softly, “sign it.”

Xu Wen picked up the pen, with the pen tip hanging above the paper.

He raised his eyes and looked at Lu Qingrang. He seemed to be standing there calmly, but Xu Wen keenly captured the subtle curling of his fingertips and his shoulder lines that were slightly tighter than usual.

    He is nervous.

This realization made Xu Wen’s heart soften, and the last trace of hesitation disappeared.

He bent down and passed the pen tip across the paper. The word “Xu Wen” fell clearly on the signature, crisp and clean.

“Everything is ready.” Xu Wen straightened up and looked back at Lu Qingrang with a firm tone.

Lu Qingrang carefully put away the still-undried agreement as if putting away a solemn promise.

He raised his eyes and met Xu Wen’s eyes.

    “We’re leaving.”

The two of them took one last look around this small space that held countless memories in Lin City, gently closed the door, and officially set off on their way home.

    “Brother Lu!”

Xu Wen’s voice came from downstairs, with a sound of excitement.

He held the pot of pothos and ran downstairs first.

When Lu Qingrang walked down the last step with his luggage, a piece of whiteness poured into his eyes without warning.

    It’s snowing.

It’s the first snow of winter.

Xu Wen stood in the gauze woven by the first snow, and the tips of his hair, eyelashes and fluffy down jacket shoulders were covered with star-like snowflakes.

He tilted his face up slightly, closed his eyes, and let the cold snowflakes fall on the warm skin and turn into tiny water droplets.

The breath he exhaled condensed into white mist in the air, and then dispersed.

Hearing footsteps, he opened his eyes and turned his head.

His eyes, which were always smiling, were astonishingly bright at the moment. He held the pot of pothos tightly in his arms and carefully wrapped the clay pot with the hem of his coat, for fear that the cold air would intrude on the roots.

Against the pure silvery white background, the emerald green that he carefully protected in his arms was so vivid that it almost burned Lu Qingrang’s eyes.

“Brother Lu, come quickly!” Xu Wen turned around to see him and waved hurriedly, “If you don’t leave, Luluo will freeze to death!”

Lu Qingrang looked at this scene and stopped in the shadow of the corridor.

Xu Wen stood in the snow, embracing their common home, as if he had eternal life in the cold winter.

Immediately, he came back to his senses, the corners of his lips unconsciously raised a slight arc, and he quickened his pace towards the light, towards Xu Wen.

The fine snow fell silently, and the two of them walked side by side on the path paved with fresh snow, walking firmly towards the front step by step.

The pot of green radish was tightly protected in Xu Wen’s arms, and its green leaves were swaying gently in the snow.
