Chapter 97: Waking Up So Soon

Chapter 97: Waking Up So Soon

Lin Yu slowly woke up, he wasn’t sure how much time had passed.

The moment he opened his eyes, he felt as if his entire body had been taken apart and reassembled, aching all over.

“Ugh…” He couldn’t help but groan softly, subconsciously trying to move, only to find that even the slightest movement was as difficult as climbing to the sky.

His heart was filled with regret, and he was kicking himself. He secretly thought that if he had known being with Ye Xingchen would result in this “aftermath,” he would have been beaten to death before coming.

At this moment, the thought of running away grew wildly in his mind.

He laboriously rolled his eyes, noticing that Ye Xingchen was not in the room, which ignited a glimmer of hope in his heart.

Biting his lip, he supported himself on the bed with both hands, trying to get up. Each movement was accompanied by piercing pain, and his forehead was instantly covered in dense beads of sweat.

Finally managing to sit up, he looked towards the stairs leading downstairs, feeling a wave of despair. In his current state, he was sure to run into Ye Xingchen if he went down the stairs.

Helpless, he then looked at the balcony on the second floor. The balcony was quite a distance from the ground, and in his current weakened state, jumping down would undoubtedly be suicide. There was no way he could get down.

Just as he was in a daze, familiar footsteps came from the doorway, followed by Ye Xingchen’s figure appearing in the room.

Ye Xingchen saw Lin Yu standing on the balcony and was slightly taken aback, blurting out, “Yu, you woke up so soon?”

“Damn it!” Lin Yu cursed, completely unable to restrain himself. The anger accumulated in his heart erupted like a volcano.

He didn’t know where the strength came from, but he rushed over, glaring at Ye Xingchen, and shouted loudly:

“What do you mean ‘woke up so soon’? Do you know how long I was unconscious?” His chest heaved violently, his eyes full of grievance and anger.

Ye Xingchen looked at Lin Yu’s angry and aggrieved appearance, and a trace of guilt flashed in his heart.

He reached out his hand, wanting to soothe Lin Yu, but Lin Yu slapped it away fiercely.

“Yu, I…” Ye Xingchen was about to explain when Lin Yu didn’t give him a chance.

“Don’t talk!” Lin Yu interrupted him loudly, his voice trembling slightly with agitation, “Do you know how excessive your actions were today? I feel like I’m just a…”

Lin Yu was momentarily at a loss for words, unable to find a suitable word to describe his feelings, and his eyes reddened again with anger and grievance.

Ye Xingchen’s face was full of remorse. He reached out again, this time tightly grasping Lin Yu’s shoulders, and looked sincerely into his eyes.

“Yu, I really know I was wrong. I was just… just too afraid of losing you, and I lost control for a moment.”

Lin Yu snorted coldly, turning his head away, “Afraid of losing me? Is that your reason for hurting me?”

Ye Xingchen said hastily, “I promise it won’t happen again. You can punish me however you want, just don’t be angry with me, okay?”

As he spoke, he lowered his head slightly, like a child who had done something wrong, secretly observing Lin Yu’s expression.

Lin Yu was still sulking, but seeing Ye Xingchen like this, the anger in his heart couldn’t help but subside a little.

He bit his lip and said, “This matter can’t just be left like this.”

    Ye Xingchen nodded quickly.

“As long as you can vent your anger, I’ll do whatever you want.”

Lin Yu pondered for a moment and said, “I want you to listen to me from now on, and don’t make your own decisions again. Also, those things in the basement today…”

Speaking of this, a blush appeared on his face, and his voice unconsciously lowered, “All… throw them away.”

Ye Xingchen quickly responded, “Okay, okay, I’ll listen to you. There won’t be any more in the future.”

Lin Yu rolled his eyes at him and snorted, “I’ll trust you for now. If there’s a next time…”

Lin Yu clenched his fist, making a fierce gesture.

Ye Xingchen quickly put on a smiling face, “There won’t be a next time, I swear.”

As he spoke, he gently took Lin Yu’s hand, looking at him cautiously, “Are you hungry? I made a lot of your favorite dishes. Shall we go eat something first?”

Lin Yu then remembered that he was indeed hungry, and his stomach also “gurgled” appropriately. He glared at Ye Xingchen embarrassedly.

“For the sake of the food, I’ll temporarily not hold it against you, but I haven’t forgiven you yet.”

Seeing that Lin Yu had finally relented, a smile immediately appeared on Ye Xingchen’s face, and he took Lin Yu’s hand and walked towards the restaurant.

After eating, Lin Yu was still thinking about how to properly punish Ye Xingchen again.

Inadvertently, he caught sight of a durian placed nearby, and an idea immediately came to mind.

He quickly walked over, peeled open the durian, took the spiky durian peel, and threw it on the floor in the living room with a “clang.”

Then, he shouted loudly at Ye Xingchen, “You, kneel down for me!”

Ye Xingchen looked at Lin Yu in disbelief, speechless.

    “Yu, this is too much!”

Lin Yu put his hands on his hips and retorted without backing down, “I’m being too much? Who is being too much? If you don’t kneel today, I won’t forgive you.”

Ye Xingchen sighed helplessly, looked at Lin Yu’s resolute eyes, and knew that he wouldn’t have an easy time today. He could only grit his teeth and slowly kneel on the durian peel.

“It hurts! It hurts! It hurts!” Ye Xingchen couldn’t help but cry out, his face full of pain.

Lin Yu, on the other hand, triumphantly held a plate of peeled durian, looked down at him condescendingly, and ate leisurely.

As he ate, he deliberately smacked his lips, occasionally glancing at Ye Xingchen’s pitiful appearance.

Ye Xingchen looked at Lin Yu with pleading eyes, hoping he would soften.

But Lin Yu didn’t fall for it, turning his head and not even looking at him.

“You’re pitiful, I’m the one who’s pitiful.” As he spoke, he was about to sit comfortably on the sofa, but with an “ouch,” he immediately jumped up again.

“Is it that exaggerated? I already controlled myself.” Ye Xingchen muttered.

Lin Yu was completely enraged now, glaring at Ye Xingchen, and roared, “Do you know what you did today? You still controlled yourself? Were you trying to kill me?”

Having said that, he picked up a piece of durian and threw it hard at Ye Xingchen’s face with a “smack.”

The durian pulp splattered everywhere, and Ye Xingchen’s face was covered in it.

This behavior directly angered Ye Xingchen, and he couldn’t care about anything else anymore.

He suddenly stood up, grabbed two tissues from the coffee table, quickly wiped the durian off his face, and then walked towards Lin Yu step by step with a gloomy face.

Watching Ye Xingchen approach, Lin Yu suddenly felt a little scared, unconsciously retreated a little, and said with forced calmness, “What? Do you want to rebel?”

For some reason, seeing Ye Xingchen looking like he wanted to eat him alive, he couldn’t help but feel afraid, his heart beat faster involuntarily, and a trace of panic was revealed in his eyes.

Ye Xingchen walked up to Lin Yu, grabbed his chin, and used a little force, forcing Lin Yu to raise his head and look him in the eye.

A dangerous glint flashed in Ye Xingchen’s eyes, and the corners of his mouth curled into a half-smiling arc.

“What do you think I want to do? Are you completely not taking me seriously like this?”

Lin Yu was frightened by Ye Xingchen’s close-range intimidation, his body trembling slightly, but stubbornly refusing to yield.
