Chapter 66 Moving to Lingyun Villa

After dinner, Lin Yu rested for a while before immediately preparing to move.

He called the servants over, a gentle smile on his face, and politely said, “I’ll trouble you all to carefully pack my daily necessities and sort the clothes into boxes. Thank you for your hard work.”

    “Yes, young master.”

The servants nodded one after another and began working in an orderly manner.

Afterward, Lin Yu went upstairs and walked lightly towards the painting room.

In the painting room, each painting was like a fragment of time, carrying his past memories.

His gaze wandered among the many paintings, quickly locking onto the one of Ye Xingchen.

This painting depicted Ye Xingchen reading in a sun-drenched courtyard, his focused expression lifelike. Lin Yu still remembered the flutter in his heart when he captured that moment.

He carefully took down several paintings of Ye Xingchen, placing them aside with great care.

Then, he found a few paintings he had created for his parents.

One painting showed his parents smiling at each other in a warm living room, the scene filled with deep love and warmth.

Lin Yu carefully selected these paintings filled with affection and placed them together in a specially made storage box. These paintings were, for him, the most precious emotional support in his life.

Looking around at the remaining paintings in the painting room, although Lin Yu felt a lot of reluctance, he decided to seal them away for the time being.

He gently closed the door of the painting room and carefully locked it, as if securely storing away these memories.

Returning to his room, he saw that the servants had arranged everything neatly, with boxes stacked in an orderly fashion.

Lin Yu once again expressed his gratitude to the servants, “Thank you all so much. Next, I’ll trouble you to send these things to Lingyun Villa and help clean the villa inside and out. Thank you for your hard work.”

“It’s no trouble, it’s what we should do.”

With that, the servants, as instructed, worked together to carry the boxes of luggage onto the cars.

Soon after, the convoy slowly started and drove towards Lingyun Villa located on the mountaintop.

Lin Yu watched the departing convoy, his heart filled with mixed feelings, both looking forward to starting a new life at Lingyun Villa and reluctant to leave home.

    Three days later.

This day, Lin Yu had just gotten off work and was about to walk towards his car at the company entrance.

Suddenly, his phone rang. He took out his phone and saw that it was a call from a servant at home.

He pressed the answer button, and the servant’s voice came from the other end of the line:

“Young master, Lingyun Villa, which you asked us to clean, has been cleaned inside and out. The daily necessities have also been placed according to your preferred locations.”

The corners of Lin Yu’s lips curved up slightly as he replied, “Thank you for your hard work, I’ll go take a look now.”

Hanging up the phone, he said to the driver waiting beside him, “To Lingyun Villa.”

The car drove smoothly towards the top of the mountain.

As they got closer and closer to Lingyun Villa, the city’s hustle and bustle was gradually replaced by lush mountain forests, and the fresh scent of grass and trees filled the air.

Before long, the car arrived at Lingyun Villa.

In the afterglow of the setting sun, the villa in front of them looked like a golden palace.

The overall style was modern and minimalist, yet cleverly integrated natural elements.

The white exterior walls had clean and smooth lines, complementing the surrounding green mountains and trees.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows were like clear crystals, bringing the beauty of the outdoors into the interior without reservation.

Lin Yu opened the car door, stepped out, and entered the villa’s courtyard.

In the courtyard, meticulously trimmed green plants were shaped in various ways. Eight magnolia trees were planted, surrounding a pebble-paved path that wound towards the villa’s main entrance.

Beside the path, unknown wildflowers bloomed freely, colorful and fragrant.

In the center of the courtyard, in a circular pond, several golden carp occasionally leaped out of the water, creating ripples.

Walking into the villa, the spacious living room was bright and airy.

Light gray sofas were arranged in a scattered yet orderly manner, paired with soft cushions, looking comfortable and cozy.

On the wooden coffee table, there was a bouquet of freshly picked magnolia flowers, delicate and vibrant, adding a touch of liveliness to the entire space.

On the ceiling, a simple yet stylish chandelier emitted a soft glow, as if welcoming the arrival of the owner.

Lin Yu strolled slowly along the smooth marble floor, every corner filled with the atmosphere of home.

He came to the huge floor-to-ceiling window, looking out at the distant rolling mountains. Under the setting sun, the mountains seemed to be coated with a layer of gold, like a dream.

He opened the window, walked to the balcony, closed his eyes slightly, took a deep breath of the fresh air, and murmured, “This place is really nice.”

Then, he turned to look at the servants waiting beside him, thought for a moment, and instructed, “Leave two maids here, one to be responsible for cooking, and one for daily cleaning. Also, leave a security guard at the door, plus the driver, so those four will stay.”

Upon hearing this, the four people all showed joy.

Lin Yu continued, “Usually, if I ask you to do anything, just do it. If there are no arrangements, just be casual.”

The servants responded in unison, “Understood, young master.”

“If there’s nothing else, you can go down first.”

One of the older maids, Aunt Liu, stepped forward, smiling and pointing to the open space outside the villa.

“Young master, I think it would be nice to plant some vegetables in that open space outside. In my hometown, every family plants them in their yards, and it’s safer to eat what you grow yourself.”

Another maid, Aunt Zhang, also became interested when she heard this, and added:

“Young master, I think we can also plant some fruit trees. And plant some grapes, build a grape trellis, and enjoy the cool breeze underneath it in the summer, that would be wonderful.”

Aunt Liu quickly echoed, “Yes, young master, when the grapes are ripe, they’ll be sweet and sour, and definitely delicious.”

Lin Yu followed their gaze, smiled, and said, “Okay, Aunt Liu, Aunt Zhang, if you want to plant them, go ahead. If you need funds, just tell me.”

Aunt Liu quickly waved her hand, “Oh, young master, it doesn’t take much money. Just buy some seeds, and I’ll hoe the ground a bit when I’m free. It really won’t cost much.”

Aunt Zhang next to her also said, “Young master, I can’t let you spend money on planting fruit trees either. I can take care of it myself, and the fruit saplings don’t cost much. I can take care of them easily.”

Lin Yu shook his head with a smile, “That won’t do, Aunt Liu. You’re doing this for me, and I appreciate your hard work. If you refuse to take the funds, I’ll raise your salary by 1000 yuan.”

Turning his head, Lin Yu looked at Aunt Zhang again, “Aunt Zhang, don’t follow Aunt Liu’s example. You should spend the money that needs to be spent. If you also don’t want the funds, I’ll raise your salary too. It’s good that you two are considering me, but the compensation that should be given for doing things cannot be less.”

Aunt Zhang and Aunt Liu looked at each other, their faces filled with emotion.

Aunt Liu said, “Young master, you are truly kind-hearted. Then we won’t be polite.”

Lin Yu had a smile on his face, “That’s right. If you do things well, I’ll be happy too.”

“You all go down, I’ll stay here alone for a while. For dinner, just make something simple, like a home-cooked meal.”

Aunt Liu and Aunt Zhang nodded quickly and said in unison, “Okay, young master.”

    Then they respectfully withdrew.

Lin Yu once again turned his gaze to the distance. The setting sun had gradually sunk in the west, most of its body hidden behind the mountains, leaving only a sky full of brilliant sunset clouds, dyeing the sky into a dreamy color of orange-red and crimson intertwined.

A gentle breeze blew, carrying the unique freshness of the mountain forest and the fragrance of grass and trees, gently ruffling his hair.

At this moment, Lingyun Villa was becoming even more tranquil under the shroud of the afterglow.

The green plants around the villa swayed gently in the breeze, as if whispering stories that belonged only to this piece of land.

The lotus leaves in the small pond not far away also rippled in layers with the breeze, and the occasional croaking of frogs added a touch of natural vitality.

Lin Yu stood quietly on the balcony, enjoying this moment of peace.
