Chapter 93: Headshot. His revenge, he will take.

“Found them,” Yun Chuan’s voice suddenly echoed in everyone’s mind.

“Let’s go.” With a twist of his body, Snake hooked Ji Mo An’s long staff with his black blade and pulled him close, his other hand skillfully half-embracing his waist.

The bosses scattered in all directions converged in an instant, and a layer of ice condensed above their heads.

Tentacles landed on the ice surface, and sharp ice thorns pierced through the scales, causing large amounts of mucus to splatter everywhere.

Xuan Bai forcefully plunged the black blade into the ground, and a grayish-white petrification spread rapidly from him as the center.

“Hold on tight.” Large scales began to grow on Snake’s body, and his legs transformed into a snake tail, tightly coiling around Ji Mo An.

As the petrification covered all the walls, cracks spread across the grayish-white ground with the sound of stone breaking.

“Where are we going?” Ji Mo An grasped the head of the long staff, and a silver-white serpent hissed as it coiled around his wrist.

“To our lair, of course.” The witch lightly hummed, “We don’t have time to play house with him.”

As the words fell, the walls completely collapsed.

During the high-speed fall, Ji Mo An saw an even larger black shadow fall past them.

‘Eder’ waved its massive tentacles, and two round green eyes emerged from the black liquid.

Transparent liquid oozed from the eyes but was quickly frozen into ice beads by Nan Sheng’s ability.

It was water, it was tears.

The ice beads were shattered by Snake’s black blade the instant they flew towards Ji Mo An, turning into countless fragments that scattered in all directions.

Ji Mo An opened his mouth, the piercing wind filling his oral cavity.

No sound was emitted, nor would there be any sound.

It was as silent as mourning for someone.

It was unknown how long the fall lasted, the debris flying around them had changed from rocks to steel plates.

The bosses fell in the darkness, pairs of heterochromatic eyes emitting a faint glow, becoming the only anchors in that endless darkness.

    Glug.

The airflow under their feet suddenly changed, and the fragments splashing around them abruptly decreased.

The tail tightly coiled around him by Snake loosened, and after a muffled thud, Ji Mo An landed on something soft.

“Xuan Bai?” He groped downwards in the darkness, and everywhere his hand passed was cold and smooth scales.

He should be sitting on Snake’s stomach, because the scales on Snake’s body wouldn’t be so soft.

“I’m here.” Snake’s voice came from somewhere, seemingly surrounding his head.

“Ellie, a light.” He shouted again.

As the words fell, the witch ignited a brilliant flame in the air, and countless magic arrays emitting light appeared on the walls.

Warm yellow light immediately dispelled the darkness, but it also revealed the terrifying scene to everyone.

This was a cave dug out without any order, countless iron cages of all sizes embedded in the steep edges of the mountain walls.

Creatures whose appearances could not be made out were slumped motionless at the bottom of the cages, and mountains of bodies piled up everywhere the eye could see.

Snake was huge, the thick snake body almost reaching Ji Mo An’s waist. He was coiled at the bottom of the cave, wrapping all the bosses in the middle.

“Wow…” The witch frowned and leaned on Nan Sheng, “This isn’t a pleasant sight. Tell me your thoughts.”

“Thoughts… I have two.” Nan Sheng’s expression was equally unpleasant, she narrowed her eyes and stared at a pile of corpses forming a mountain, the excellent night vision of a mermaid allowing her to clearly see a small ‘corpse’ constantly rising and falling.

“First. I feel that the boss wants to wring the necks of a large number of staff members. The things here aren’t just humans.”

    “Second…”

The corpse pile suddenly exploded, as a huge black shadow slowly emerged under the reflection of the firelight, a pale hand pushing aside the corpses and reaching out.

“Why doesn’t the boss let those martial arts-style guys come? I’m a pure plot-intelligence-style boss, and this is too far from the sea. I really want to drown all these disgusting things.” Nan Sheng felt disgusted looking at the things with mucus dripping down, so she simply withdrew her hand, ran to Snake’s side, and squatted down with Ji Mo An.

“If they came, it wouldn’t just be about fighting these things. If they came, they could tear down the mountain.” Yu Li was originally still standing on the front line, but after a glob of mucus was flung at him, he immediately ran away and squeezed behind Nan Sheng.

Apart from Yun Chuan, who was nowhere to be seen, only the witch remained, burning with flames to form the most solid defense.

“Don’t we still have a good boy? Is it too late to call him now? If I had known, I would have tied up Sara and brought him along.” But Alexsa was also disgusted enough, and didn’t want to attack proactively at all.

“Are you talking about Little Yun Qing? He wasn’t coming from the start. He said he was afraid that if he left, his brother would beat his partner to death.” Yu Li rolled his eyes, “You don’t know, his brother is in a completely manic state right now, hitting anyone he sees, and especially punching them in the face.”

“You’re not a martial arts-type boss?” Ji Mo An didn’t understand the things the other bosses were talking about, but he clearly heard the boss types.

“Of course not…” Snake silently shrunk even tighter, so disgusting, Snake didn’t want to touch the disgusting mucus on those things. “I am the most powerful alchemist in the stars, when did alchemists start fighting and killing every day.”

“That’s not what you said when you fought me before…”

“Hiss hiss…” Snake wanted to hiss pitifully, but his overly large body looked terrifying no matter what he did.

“Give me the knife.” Ji Mo An snatched Snake’s treasured blade, and with a twist of his body, he slashed off the pale arm that emerged from the floor.

As past memories continued to recover, the experience of repeated combat had long been integrated into his bones.

With a few slashes, Ji Mo An had quickly mastered the attack methods of the severed limbs.

He pierced the palm emerging from the ground with a knife, and carved out a complete skeleton along the texture of the bone, preventing those strange things from healing themselves.

Boom… The mountain suddenly shook, and a large amount of gravel fell, accurately smashing towards the gathered bosses.

“The mountain is collapsing, quickly stabilize it.” Alexsa withdrew the magic array on the mountain, and Snake instantly became huge, coiling in the middle of the rock layers.

Drip… A few drops of scarlet blood emerged from under Snake’s scales and splashed onto the ground, making the arms wave even more excitedly and frantically.

The bosses were still bleeding, Ji Mo An suddenly realized this.

He took the time to look at the witch drawing the magic array, and large patches of dark color had seeped out at the hem of her red dress. The color of the blood was darker than the dress, and the wounds obviously affected the witch’s movements when releasing attacks.

The current situation was extremely unfavorable for the bosses, but they acted too normally, causing Ji Mo An to ignore this point.

As time passed, the corpse pile began to slowly recover, the bodies locked in the cages began to roar and sway, and countless bizarre-looking monsters pushed aside obstacles and slid out of the rock crevices, baring their fangs and claws as they charged towards everyone.

“I’ll do it.” Ji Mo An grabbed Alexsa, and his ability was released once again.

The gravity instantly weakened, and the monsters left the ground while running, floating and sticking to the top of the cave in impotent rage.

The giant snake supporting the walls opened its mouth and plunged its head into the golden magic array that appeared in front of him.

The next second, the other end of the magic array opened behind Ji Mo An, the giant snake stretched out its head, and transparent floors grew wherever it went, as if glass was isolating the outstretched severed arms underground.

Thump thump… Countless hands constantly tapped the “glass,” wandering under Ji Mo An’s feet.

The extremely sanity-draining scene, Ji Mo An tried hard to raise his head and not look at the miserable scene under his feet.

“Snake… Snake… Snake…” A falling tentacle emerged from nowhere, once again raising a tentacle to wave at them.

That was no longer Eder… Ji Mo An looked at Snake’s golden vertical pupils, and saw the reflection belonging to the tentacles in the brilliant gold.

A chaotic tangle of black lines outlined a rigid human figure pierced by tentacles, perhaps more than tentacles… it was more like a reflection of the soul.

A painful soul, a wailing soul, a bound soul.

‘Eder’ was a trap from beginning to end, betting on Ji Mo An’s soft heart, betting on the bosses’ carelessness.

“Let his soul rest in peace.” Ji Mo An closed his eyes, no longer looking at the pure black soul in Snake’s eyes.

He clearly knew that it was impossible to recover after mutating to this point.

The giant snake swam out and swallowed the entire tentacle in one gulp.

That didn’t feel good, like drinking a mouthful of foul-smelling concentrated sulfuric acid, making Snake’s body extremely uncomfortable.

Suddenly, a star mask fell from somewhere, bouncing off Snake’s scales.

    “Guild Leader…”

    “Guild Leader… Save me…”

    “I’m sorry… Please… Save me…”

The weak and hoarse voice was like a life-threatening ghost, bringing heart-wrenching pain to the body.

The heart… hurt a lot. It was pain from instinct, pain from the soul.

Ji Mo An subconsciously took two steps back, he saw several emaciated skeletons crawling towards him, but what flashed before his eyes was the player who raised his long blade.

One blade, inserted into his heart. One blade, ended his life.

“I never thought I would die in such an embarrassing way.” Ji Mo An covered his face with one hand, the intense pain spreading down from his forehead.

He was a genius among players, the top of the leaderboard, but lost his life because of betrayal.

He raised his hand and wiped it across Snake’s scales, leaving behind a handful of bright red. The giant snake revealed its fangs, and the scales all over its body bristled, that was the angry sorrow belonging to the boss.

“Don’t move.” Snake’s blood flowed into his sleeve along his fingers, Ji Mo An could feel the scorching blood flowing towards his heart along his arm.

Snake wanted to prop up the walls, Snake’s anger caused large rocks to fall, but they floated at the top of the cave because of the ability.

“You, don’t move either.” He raised his hand to stop the other bosses from stepping forward.

“Stop.” Nan Sheng grabbed Yu Li and stopped, together with Alexsa.

The bosses could clearly feel the emotions floating in the air, so they retreated according to their master’s wishes.

Perhaps… their position should be in the audience, not on the stage.

“Guild Leader… Guild Leader…” The skeletons were climbing on the ground, growing a trace of flesh and blood with each step they crawled.

Ji Mo An coldly looked at the face on the ground being outlined together with the face in his mind, the original hateful and angry face was only left with fear and pleading.

    His revenge, he will take.

The silver-white staff appeared in his hand following the will of its master, the serpent hissed as it curled itself at the end of the staff, while the head of the staff was twinkling with stars.

“Gui…” When the last trace of flesh and blood on the hole had grown, the image of the person in Ji Mo An’s mind completely emerged.

So Ji Mo An raised his hand and blew the betrayer’s head off before he could open his mouth.

    Clean, neat.

Without even a single preamble or a single question, he blew off the head of a ‘human’ like that.

It was too straightforward, even the bosses who were always ready to act secretly were shocked.

“I thought you would listen to a few words of complaint and then denounce them.” Losde’s voice appeared when the betrayer’s body completely collapsed.

He was dressed in black and stood in the darkest corner, his black eyes filled with malice.
