Chapter 37 The Greedy and Vicious Little Nanny15

“Go to the hospital first,” Lu Chengjin lowered his head to check his nose, “Okay?”

“No,” Xie Rong pinched his nose and glared at him, “hurry up and deliver the things I bought for my mother-in-law.”

He bought a lot of amazing things for his mother-in-law.

A big gold necklace, a big gold bracelet, a big gold earring, and a big orange made of gold.

The poor ghosts in the Tongzi Tower looked at it, and their eyes were probably straightened.

Xie Rong entered the Tongzi Tower first, followed by Lu Chengjin and Special Assistant Chen, carrying a bunch of things in their hands.

As early as when the black Phantom parked downstairs, the residents in the Tongzi Building had already poked their heads out of the windows to take a look. As soon as Xie Rong went upstairs, they went from house to house to the door to take a look.

This little mascot is incredible. Not only is he followed by two bodyguards, but they have never seen the clothes he is wearing. He is so beautiful and worth a lot of money just by looking at him.

I came here with great fanfare today, maybe I am going to pick up that old woman to enjoy her happiness?

Xie Rong walked to the door of his house and saw that the door was open.

He opened the door and poked his head in, only to see a tall figure standing by the window with an apron around his waist, helping his mother-in-law chop vegetables.

“Duan Zhiyao, why are you here?” Xie Rong asked.

Duan Zhiyao turned around, but before he could say anything, Granny Sun walked out of Xie Rong’s former exclusive cubicle, beaming, “Are you back, obediently?”

Xie Rong didn’t have time to pay attention to Duan Zhiyao. He dragged his mother-in-law into the small cubicle, sat on the edge of the bed, and started to take out the treasures he had prepared from the bag.

No matter what he gave, his mother-in-law would always smile from ear to ear and praise him for his awesomeness.

Xie Rong raised his chin and raised the corners of his mouth. If he had a tail, his tail would reach the sky.

“Mother-in-law, rich people are stupid. They cheated twice and gave me the money,” Xie Rong said proudly, “From now on, I will buy golden treasures for my mother-in-law every day.”

Grandma Sun glanced at the men grabbing pots and spatulas by the stove, and asked in a low voice: “My dear, they won’t let you return it again, will they? Grandma can’t beat them!”

“My mother-in-law can’t win, but my mother-in-law knows how to fight,” Xie Rong’s eyes rolled, “When the time comes, I will accompany my mother-in-law and kill them hard.”

“Be good and smart,” Grandma Sun said cheerfully.

Xie Rong took out the last gift from the bag.

An orange sweater with a round orange on the collar.

Grandma Sun said that this was the best gift she had ever received, and Xie Rong also felt that this was the most precious gift he had ever given.

He has lived for three lifetimes. He was initially disgusted by this dirty old woman when he picked her up. He desperately wanted to grow up quickly and torture the protagonist. When accompanying his mother-in-law to pick up garbage, he would only cover his nose and follow behind slowly, and even secretly make trouble——

For example, he tricked his mother-in-law into puncturing the big bag he used to collect garbage, so that he could go back early; or he pretended to be sick, so that his mother-in-law had to use the money earned from collecting garbage to coax him, so that he could eat a small bowl of meat that could only be eaten during the Chinese New Year.

But no matter how bad he did, his mother-in-law would never call him a bad person. She only blamed herself for not being able to teach him since she didn’t read and couldn’t afford to pay for him to study. She was countless times better than some cheap men who only knew how to kiss his mouth to death.

Xie Rong knitted his favorite oranges on a sweater and gave it to his mother-in-law, who was the most important person in the world to him.

Outside the cubicle, Lu Chengjin was washing vegetables while scanning the simple room.

The house was actually very clean, especially the two small cat toys with balls of thread hanging on the door curtain of the cubicle. However, even if the door was closed, the musty smell in the Tongzilou could still come in through the wide cracks in the door. The glass windows were patched, the table was broken, the vegetable washing basin was missing a hole, and even the cooking pot had no handle.

Lu Chengjin lived for nineteen years. During the darkest two years, he just locked himself in a room and played the piano to vent. Such a room was even more dilapidated than the basement of the villa where debris was piled up.

He tried to hold his breath, but when he thought of Xie Rong having lived there for so many years, he relaxed and let the musty smell penetrate into his internal organs.

He should have hated Xie Rong, but what came to his mind were all the scenes of Xie Rong living in this broken house when he was young.

Such a small snow dumpling sits on a rickety old bench every day, wiping tears every day because he doesn’t have enough to eat or clothes to keep warm.

If he had met Xie Rong when he was a child, he would have had to be chased by Xie Rong, the money-grubbing nanny, calling him brother, and then follow him home, even in order to defraud him of all his New Year’s money. He would have secretly learned those improper ways of acting like a spoiled child since he was a child.

After all, his little nanny is not just greedy.

Lu Chengjin’s lips raised an imperceptible arc.

During the meal, five people gathered around a rickety table.

This table is very small. It was used by Xie Rong when he was a child and he sat on the bench to eat. Now there are five benches surrounding the table.

Xie Rong still remembered Duan Shuyao humiliating him with a new mobile phone, so he would grab whatever Duan Shuyao ate.

Duan Shuyao looked at him, and he glared back fiercely.

“Is he your friend?” Lu Chengjin suddenly asked.

“Just a neighbor,” Xie Rong replied casually, holding a big chicken drumstick in his mouth.

There were only two drumsticks in a chicken, and he had to finish the one in the bowl quickly before he could take away the other one.

Grandma Sun sat next to him, her eyes rolling back and forth on the three men, still counting something in her mouth.

“Mother-in-law, what are you talking about?” Xie Rong spit out the bones, hurriedly picked up the second chicken leg, hesitated for a few seconds, put it into her mother-in-law’s bowl, and whispered, “Eat quickly, others will snatch it away later.”

Granny Sun couldn’t bear to eat, so she put the chicken legs back into Xie Rong’s bowl, leaned over and whispered to Xie Rong: “They are really good at eating, especially the young man on your left. He has eaten three bowls of rice, and the pot is almost collapsed! Rich people are different. In our building, who can feed them?”

    Xie Rong turned his head.

Lu Chengjin gave his hand holding food a slap in the face, “What’s wrong?”

Xie Rong looked at him coldly: “Why do you only eat rice and not steamed buns? Do you think the steamed buns made by my mother-in-law are leftovers from yesterday?”

    Lu Chengjin: “I didn’t.”

“You rich people just don’t know that firewood, rice, oil and salt are expensive,” Xie Rong mocked him sarcastically. He picked up a cold steamed bun with his chopsticks and stuffed it into Lu Chengjin’s bowl, “Eat it quickly.”

Lu Chengjin looked at the steamed buns in the bowl.

This was the first time Xie Rong served him food, only for him.

Lu Chengjin lowered his head and took a bite.

The buns are very hard, yet somehow sweet.

In order to save briquettes, the steamed buns were cooked overnight and were not reheated.

Xie Rong’s expression softened slightly, and he turned back to chew on his chicken drumstick.

When he raised his head again, he wanted to feed the protagonist a hard steamed bun, but found that the bowl was empty. The steamed buns inside had been snatched away by several men. Instead, there was a lot of chicken left in the bowl.

He knew that even if these men were rich and wealthy, they didn’t have a life to live in. They just loved to eat cheap things and couldn’t even get their money back!
