    Chapter 83: Different Standpoints

Seeing Shao Yuanheng fall to the ground, Shu Lin was taken aback.

Oh no, he’d released a bit too much suppressive pheromones, knocking Shao Yuanheng out cold.

He looked at Shao Yuanheng sprawled on the floor, feeling a little uneasy. But then he remembered what Shao Yuanheng had done to him that night, and that unease instantly vanished.

Shu Lin wrinkled his nose at Shao Yuanheng, subtly.

Hmph, serves you right. Finally got my revenge.

“Shu Lin, I’m sorry, I was wrong, I was really wrong.”

Suddenly, Shao Yuanheng grabbed his left leg.

“Y-You, you, what do you want? Let go of me.” Shu Lin stammered, trying to pull his left leg away.

But Shao Yuanheng held on tighter, muttering incessantly:

“Please forgive me, you’re generous and understanding, don’t hold it against me. Please have mercy, help me, okay? It’s very easy, I just need a little of your pheromones…”

“Yuanheng, stop!” Shao Tingrui’s stern voice came from behind.

Shu Lin looked in the direction of the voice, completely bewildered.

    What did Shao Yuanheng mean?

Hearing Shao Tingrui’s voice, Shao Yuanheng stiffened. He quickly released Shu Lin’s leg, struggling to his feet and hanging his head in silence.

Footsteps approached. Shao Tingrui’s expression was grave as he turned and said, “You two, come with me.”

The two followed Shao Tingrui to the study.

The three took their seats. Shao Tingrui, sitting in the master seat, looked at Shao Yuanheng: “Yuanheng, you were very rude today, do you know that? Apologize to Little Lin first.”

Shao Yuanheng’s face was pale, cold sweat beading on his forehead. He glanced up at Shu Lin, then lowered his head again. “Shu Lin, I’m sorry. I was rude just now, I’m sorry.”

    Shu Lin blinked, saying nothing.

Shao Tingrui kept his eyes fixed on Shao Yuanheng, his expression stern:

“Whether or not he accepts your apology is Shu Lin’s freedom. I ask you, have you done anything to wrong Little Lin?”

Shao Yuanheng didn’t look up, saying in a muffled voice, “Grandpa, ask Shu Lin.”

“You speak!” Shao Tingrui snapped. “I’m asking you, not Little Lin. What’s this? You had the guts to do it, but not the guts to admit it?”

Shao Yuanheng slowly raised his head, glanced at Shao Tingrui, gritted his teeth, and recounted how he had tried to assault Shu Lin that night.

Shao Bingheng had never told Shao Tingrui about this.

Upon hearing this, Shao Tingrui’s face instantly turned ashen.

He had always thought that Shao Bingheng’s decision to support Shao Shiyan and abandon Shao Yuanheng was due to the incurable nature of his pheromone imbalance disorder.

Now he heard that the root cause was actually this.

    Deserved!

It was right to abandon him.

Seeing Shao Tingrui’s expression, Shao Yuanheng fell to his knees in front of him with a thud, weeping bitterly:

“Grandpa, I know I was wrong, and I’ve paid the price for it.”

“But I’m tormented too much by this pheromone imbalance disorder, please, I beg you to persuade Chengxi and Shu Lin to help me cure it.”

“It’s very simple, Shu Lin just needs to cooperate with the doctor and give me a little of his pheromones.”

“Grandpa, I beg you, please help me persuade Shu Lin and Chengxi, please.”

Shu Lin’s eyes widened in shock at these words.

So that’s what was going on.

Shao Chengxi had never told him.

Shao Tingrui stared down at Shao Yuanheng kneeling on the ground, saying nothing for a long time.

After about a minute or two, he spoke, his tone stern: “Yuanheng, I know about this now. You can leave.”

Shao Yuanheng looked at Shao Tingrui, then at Shu Lin, hesitant.

In the end, he said nothing more, rising and staggering away.

Tormented by his pheromone imbalance disorder, he had lost all his sharpness, ambition, and unwillingness.

Now, as long as his illness could be cured, he would do anything.

Only Shao Tingrui and Shu Lin remained in the study.

Shu Lin couldn’t gauge his attitude towards this matter.

What should he do if Shao Tingrui really spoke up for Shao Yuanheng?

    No, he wouldn’t agree.

Leaving aside the specifics of the matter, he hadn’t even figured it out yet.

Shao Chengxi and Shao Yuanheng were brothers, and with that relationship in mind, Shao Chengxi had already refused this matter for him. He certainly had no reason to bypass his own Alpha to talk about this.

Just as he had made up his mind, his gaze inadvertently met Shao Tingrui’s, and he found him staring at him curiously. Shu Lin was completely bewildered.

He looked at himself and asked, “Grandpa, w-why are you looking at me like that?”

Shao Tingrui moved closer to him, a glint in his eyes:

“Little Lin, you were the one who made Yuanheng fall just now, right? How did you do it?”

    Shu Lin: “Huh?”

Shao Tingrui, like a child, was determined to get to the bottom of it:

“Tell Grandpa quickly. Grandpa has never seen an Omega knock down an Alpha like that.”

Shu Lin scratched the back of his head in embarrassment:

“Seeing Eldest Brother, I got nervous and released too many suppressive pheromones, and he just… But, Grandpa, I didn’t expect him to be so weak.”

Shao Tingrui said in surprise, “US-Class Omega’s suppressive pheromones are so strong? They can even knock down an A-Class Alpha.”

Shu Lin perked up. “Knocking them down is nothing! Grandpa, let me tell you, I even knocked out an A-Class Alpha once.”

Shao Tingrui: “Knocked out? Is that really the case? Tell Grandpa all about it, Grandpa wants to hear.”

Shu Lin, as if he had found a kindred spirit, told the story of how he had knocked out Lu Shanchuan, his eyebrows dancing with excitement.

The more Shao Tingrui listened, the wider his eyes grew.

As a B-Class Omega, after becoming the head of the Shao family, he had been subjected to no small amount of overt and covert pheromone teasing and suppression from Alphas with bad intentions.

Every time he encountered such a situation, he hated it to death.

He always thought, how great it would be if he could use his pheromones to knock down these hateful Alphas.

Unfortunately, that was just wishful thinking. Everyone knew it was impossible.

Even an S-Class Omega could barely protect themselves. It was impossible to counter an Alpha.

He never imagined that Shu Lin, this US-Class Omega, could do it.

Shao Tingrui became excited and asked, “Little Lin, is this ability of yours an accident, or can you control it at will?”

“Um…” Shu Lin frowned and thought carefully. “I’m not too sure, mainly because I haven’t had the opportunity to use it repeatedly. I knocked out Director Lu once, and today I knocked down Eldest Brother, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to suppress other Alphas in the future.”

Actually, he had a vague idea for a long time.

Perhaps through a lot of practice, he could really turn this ability into a normal state.

In fact, he had mentioned this idea to Shao Chengxi before.

But he didn’t agree, saying it was too dangerous.

Hearing this, Shao Tingrui smiled and said:

“Chengxi is an Alpha, he’s speaking from an Alpha’s point of view.”

“From an Omega’s point of view, the idea is completely different.”

“Omegas have always been suppressed by Alphas with pheromones. If they could gain the upper hand, which Omega wouldn’t want to?”

“Little Lin, your idea is right. You can’t waste such a good ability.”

Shu Lin looked at Shao Tingrui in surprise: “Grandpa, you mean…”

Shao Tingrui nodded. “I support you practicing the ability to suppress Alphas.”

Excitement flashed in Shu Lin’s eyes:

“Really? But, Grandpa, I don’t have any practice partners or conditions.”

“And my old… he, he doesn’t agree, he doesn’t like me having the pheromones of other Alphas on me.”

    Shao Tingrui laughed heartily:

“Hahaha… Alphas are all like that, don’t pay attention to him.”

“Leave this matter to Grandpa, and Grandpa will find a way for you.”

“Don’t worry, I won’t let your Alpha get jealous.”

    Shu Lin’s face flushed. “Grandpa!”

It wasn’t unreasonable for his Alpha to be jealous.

He didn’t like Shao Chengxi having the scent of other Omegas on him either.

    Shu Lin left.

Shao Tingrui remained seated, deep in thought.

How should Shao Yuanheng’s matter be handled?
