Hearing the rejection, Shu Lin began to choke with sobs, stubbornly refusing to let the tears fall.
This appearance inexplicably reminded Shao Chengxi of a small pine tree shivering in the wind and snow, yet still standing tall.
The two of them stared at each other like that.
“If I agree to you,” Shao Chengxi suddenly said, “are you prepared to bear the consequences? Becoming my Omega means that the rest of your life will be bound to me. Everything will revolve around me and be done according to my wishes.”

Soon after, his assistant walked in and respectfully said, “Minister Shao, what are your instructions?”
Shao Chengxi stared at Shu Lin and raised his chin. “Assistant Cheng, take him to get a full-body examination and thoroughly verify his background.”
“Yes, Minister Shao. Mr. Shu, please come with me.”
Shu Lin was a little dazed, “Wh-what does this mean?”
Assistant Cheng walked to his side and made a “please” gesture. “You come with me first, and I will slowly tell you what’s going on.”
“Minister Shao,” Shu Lin said urgently, “My father and sister can’t wait that long, can you please…”
“Mr. Shu,” Shao Chengxi interrupted him, his voice cold. “Didn’t you just say that you would listen to me in everything? Do as I say. If you can’t even manage the most basic cooperation, then this matter ends here.”
Shu Lin bit his lower lip.

“I…I understand,” he muttered in response.
As he walked out of the office, Shu Lin couldn’t help but ask Assistant Cheng, “Where are we going?”
“The medical center,” Assistant Cheng said without looking back. “Minister Shao requires you to have a full-body examination to see if you are healthy, including verifying your pheromones and doing a compatibility test with him.”

He looked down at the young Omega, his eyes lingering on his bare neck.

“Afraid?” he asked.
Shu Lin shook his head, then nodded. “I…I just want to rescue my father and sister as soon as possible.”
Shao Chengxi chuckled. “Remember what you said, listen to me in everything.”
Half an hour later, a doctor walked over with the examination report, “Minister Shao, the examination results are out. Mr. Shu is in good health, and his pheromone compatibility with you is as high as 99%.”
As soon as this was said, the doctors present gasped.
As expected of a US-Class Omega, his pheromone compatibility with an S-Class Alpha like Shao Chengxi could reach such a high level!

Shao Chengxi said lightly, “Even if I save them, I have to have a legitimate reason. Only when you become my legal partner can I openly save them.”
He picked up a document and handed it to Shu Lin, “I don’t do secret affairs. This is a prenuptial agreement, take a look.”
