Red Line Resurrection Chapter 76
by76 Chapter 76
◎My family came to pick me up.◎
When the second snow fell, Shen Lingjun finally finished his final week.
He applied for deferred exams for three of the six subjects and three examination courses next semester. For the remaining subjects, he almost had a headache. He was memorizing and catching up on homework papers. Not to mention taking the time to deliver meals to Liang Jian, he didn’t even have time to go back on weekends.
Pan Siyun wasn’t much better either.
Normally being comfortable and lazy is like soaking your feet. At the end of the semester, you have to bite the bullet and drink the foot soaking water mixed with tears. The feeling is indescribable. With your eyes open, you memorize the exam, and with your eyes closed, your mind is full of distractions. After finally finishing the last exam, the two of them fell straight on the bed and fell asleep in total darkness.
There was no time to close the curtains in the dormitory, and the sky outside changed from bright daylight to gloomy night. The two people on the bed still showed no sign of waking up, until Didi in the group kept shouting about the dinner party, which woke Pan Siyun up. He sat up with his eyes closed, and seemed to hear a knock on the door.
He turned his head and glanced at Shen Lingjun, who was sleeping in a ball. He managed to climb off the bed and open the door. As soon as the door was opened a crack, someone came roaring into the room like a tornado, “I knew you were still sleeping.”President, Aite, you two have been in the group for more than 20 times, but there is no news. You are walking around to eat, don’t sleep, don’t sleep.”He squatted beside Shen Lingjun’s bed and pulled his quilt, and shouted in a long voice: “Lingjun, Lingjun–”
“It’s been a long time since you came to participate in club activities. Don’t you miss us? It’s okay if you don’t want to. We miss you. If you go to a dinner party tonight, the president will give you a gift…”
Pan Siyun was leaning against the door frame, still a little awake, and said feebly: “Brother, I remember you finished the exam at eight o’clock in the evening at the latest, right? You haven’t slept since you stayed up all night yesterday, but now?”
Yu Wei still squatted there and persisted in asking Shen Lingjun to get up, “Come on, so I rested for an hour before coming to you. I’ll talk about unimportant things like sleeping tomorrow.”
Shen Lingjun was so noisy by him that he grabbed the pillow next to him and slapped him in the face. He sat up with his blond hair fried by sleep and looked at Yu Wei with resentful eyes.
Yu Wei looked at him with a dogged expression and said, “Lingjun, you will definitely go tonight, right?”
He bowed his hands and said, “Take a few photos to deceive people when the club expands its enrollment next semester. Please help me.”
“Look at how beautiful you look when you just woke up and were so angry, Lingjun, how about you go and show your face when the enrollment is expanded next semester?”
Shen Lingjun glared at him and got up from bed to change clothes. He was not angry with Yu Wei. After all, he was a classmate who played well, but his brain was a little slow before he woke up. After changing clothes and washing his face, he looked up and glanced out the window, only to find that there were two or three centimeters of snow on the ground.
He said to himself: “It’s snowing again.”
“Yu Wei,” Shen Lingjun called him, “When will the dinner end?”
“Anything is fine.” Yu Wei said cheerfully: “Are you worried about access control?”
Shen Lingjun took out a scarf and tied it on, “No, I asked my family to pick me up and go home tonight.”
The snow was still falling, and the three of them were walking together in the food street outside the school. It was almost ten o’clock, and the area was still very lively. Many people took advantage of the upcoming winter vacation to have dinner with their roommates and classmates. Shen Lingjun’s film club also had a tradition of having dinner at the end of every semester.
Logically speaking, it shouldn’t be very difficult to recruit new members to a film club. Unfortunately, this term’s president is engaged in entrepreneurship. As long as the members come in, they are like being recruited from school in advance to work in the company. They sit together every now and then to make films, write scripts, and polish editing. Although the pay is considerable, it does not prevent people from running away with buckets every month.
Opening the door of the fusion restaurant, the long table in the innermost place was almost full. Yu Wei took them both to sit in the empty seat in the middle, puffed out his chest and said to Xu Ke: “President, you are lucky to live up to your mission!”
Xu Kesheng was two levels louder than them, but he already looked like a very mature adult. He greeted them with a familiar smile to order food and drinks. Pan Siyun ordered two glasses of special concoction, while Shen Lingjun ordered a glass of mixed juice.
He didn’t talk much during the dinner. After all, he didn’t know many people, but Shen Lingjun was very happy to occasionally come out to participate in some group activities. He liked this lively atmosphere.
He didn’t eat much, he just stared at Pan Siyun’s two beautiful glasses of wine. The light pink and lake green wine liquids were layered in the thin glass cups, and two pieces of clear ice were gently swaying inside. Pan Siyun saw that he was very focused and whispered: “You can’t drink.”
Shen Lingjun seemed not to hear at all, “What does it taste like?”
Pan Siyun said: “It’s sweet, but it contains vodka and white rum, and the alcohol content is not low.”
Shen Lingjun pushed his cup over, “You give me half a mouthful, and I’ll taste it.”
Pan Siyun couldn’t stand the way he looked at her, so she gave in and said, “Who will pick you up later?”
“My brother.” Shen Lingjun reached out and took a sip, whispering: “Just a little bit, you won’t get drunk.”
However, it turns out that his ability to drink is pitiful.
Every photo taken at the end of the dinner showed him with rosy cheeks and half-clear eyes that were trying to open wide. Yu Wei sent him the photo and kept saying in a low voice: “It’s so cute, this one is so cute. Lingjun, please come to our Propaganda Department next semester. We are short of people!”
He completely took advantage of others’ danger and deceived Shen Lingjun while he was still not quite sober. Shen Lingjun tilted her head to look at him and nodded, “Okay.”
Pan Siyun’s eyes were full of speechless hatred.
The bell hanging at the door of the store rang twice. Liang Jian pushed the door open and saw Shen Lingjun sitting in the middle.
He was probably not very drunk, at least he was still upright and not swaying, but Liang Ji’an seemed to have seen the bubbles smelling of alcohol floating in the void. As if he heard the movement, Shen Lingjun turned around and smiled at him like an obedient person, “Brother, you’re here to pick me up.”
Liang Ji’an greeted everyone present gently and distantly, indicating that they should leave first, and then extended his hand to Shen Lingjun, “Junjun.”
Shen Lingjun put his hand up and naturally stood up with Liang Ji’an, said goodbye to his friends, and finally walked out side by side with Liang Ji’an.
It was difficult to park in the food court. Liang Ji’an held an umbrella and led Shen Lingjun for a short distance. The snow still did not stop, falling on the umbrella and floating on the shoulders of the two of them, and quickly turned into water.
Shen Lingjun got into the passenger seat, and Liang Ji’an leaned over to fasten his seat belt. Shen Lingjun found a hexagonal snowflake on him that hadn’t had time to melt, and lightly tapped his finger on it, “Brother.”
Liang Ji’an responded and kissed the corner of his lips, “Go home.”
