Chapter 27: Departure

Back in the house, Jiang Xianchuan sat on the sofa, propping his forehead with his hands, deep in thought about the zombie horde. Actually, even if there was a zombie horde, he wasn’t afraid.

Shi Yi and Li Lingyu exchanged a look, then nodded in agreement at the same time.

“Okay, then let’s go out together and challenge a higher difficulty instance!” Shi Yi said excitedly.

So, the three of them began to pack their luggage, preparing to leave this safe house. They packed all the usable items in the house into the space.

“Let’s all get a good night’s sleep tonight, and we’ll set off tomorrow!” Jiang Xianchuan said to Shi Yi and Li Lingyu with a smile.

At night, Jiang Xianchuan lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, thinking about the upcoming adventure.

After the two got up and washed, they met Shi Yi, who was already waiting in the living room.

“Ready?” Shi Yi asked.

“Ready!” Jiang Xianchuan and Li Lingyu answered in unison.

So, the three of them carried their backpacks and walked out of the safe house.

The process of going downstairs was smooth. A few scattered zombies were quickly dealt with by the three of them, and they didn’t encounter any tricky things until they left the residential area.

“Great! Smooth departure!” Jiang Xianchuan was a little excited, his voice echoing in the silent street. They walked out of the residential area and came to the street.

Sunlight shone through the clouds, bathing them in a ray of warmth. But the scene before them was chilling.

The shops and buildings on both sides of the street were dilapidated, with broken doors and windows and peeling walls. The street was littered with garbage and blood, and the air was filled with a stench. Zombies wandered aimlessly in the street, occasionally letting out low growls.

Looking at all this before him, Jiang Xianchuan felt a strong sense of confidence and determination rise in his heart. He felt the power deep within him awakening. His eyes shone with a firm light, and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly, revealing a faint smile.

“Just a bunch of zombies, watch me take them down directly,” Jiang Xianchuan muttered to himself, his voice revealing unparalleled confidence and boldness.
