    Chapter 20 It’s Raining

Since Li Lingyu was injured, Jiang Xianchuan has been proactively taking on the task of changing his dressing and bandaging him every day.

However, despite this, the wound still showed no signs of improvement, which made Jiang Xianchuan feel very anxious.

“You clearly told me before that this wound could heal on its own, but why hasn’t there been any improvement after so long?” Jiang Xianchuan asked with a puzzled face.

Faced with Jiang Xianchuan’s question, Li Lingyu could only shake his head helplessly, indicating that he didn’t know the reason.

Just then, Jiang Xianchuan stared at Li Lingyu’s wound, his brow furrowed, lost in thought.

Li Lingyu looked at the young man in front of him. The young man’s skin was as white as porcelain, as pure and flawless as winter snowflakes. His eyes were slightly raised, like bright stars, shining with bright and gentle light.

At this moment, the young man was intently looking at his wound, his eyes revealing concern and worry. He couldn’t help but slightly raise the corners of his mouth, revealing an imperceptible smile. Perhaps even he himself didn’t realize how natural and warm this smile was.

“If I had known, I would have prepared more medicine. What if this injury doesn’t get better? If you feel uncomfortable, you must tell me.”

    “Okay.”

Afterwards, Jiang Xianchuan sat by the window and observed the zombies outside. After a while, several flashes of lightning flashed across the sky, and then it started to rain heavily.

Shi Yi looked at the raindrops in the sky and immediately took out two buckets to place on the brackets outside the window to collect water. Although they still had a lot of supplies, it was still good to use rainwater to flush the toilet.

“Oh, why is this water green?”

Jiang Xianchuan and Li Lingyu also got up to check when they heard this. They saw that the water in the bucket was a strange green color, as if it had been contaminated.

“That’s strange, why is it green?” Jiang Xianchuan frowned, a trace of doubt rising in his heart.

“It’s better not to touch this water, pour it out, and don’t use this bucket anymore,” Jiang Xianchuan reminded.

So, Shi Yi poured out the green water from the bucket and then threw the bucket away.

However, when she was about to return to the room, she found that the rain outside the window was getting heavier and heavier, and the raindrops had also turned green.

“Not good, there might be something wrong with this rain! Close the windows quickly!” Jiang Xianchuan realized that the situation was not good and quickly shouted.

The three of them acted quickly and closed all the windows to prevent the green rainwater from entering the house.

“What’s going on? Why is it raining this color?” Shi Yi asked with lingering fear.

But at this moment, Jiang Xianchuan noticed a strange phenomenon: the rotting zombies downstairs miraculously grew back flesh and blood after coming into contact with the rain!

Their originally drooping steps became lighter, as if they had regained their vitality, while some outdoor plants withered due to the erosion of the rain.

Watching these energetic zombies wandering in the residential area, Jiang Xianchuan felt a headache.

He couldn’t help but worry about whether they would be affected by this rain. If they accidentally got it on them, he didn’t know what they would turn into.

Thinking of this, a sense of fear and unease welled up in his heart.

“Don’t open the windows until the rain stops.”

Jiang Xianchuan continued to observe the zombies downstairs. Apart from the fact that the zombies’ originally rotten bodies began to grow fresh flesh, and their movements became more agile, they didn’t seem to have any other obvious changes.

However, just as Jiang Xianchuan was concentrating on observing, a small figure quietly climbed up the wall from outside his sight.

This zombie looked like a baby, but its body was distorted and deformed, and its face was covered with hideous expressions.

It tightly grasped the wall with its sharp claws, climbing upward with difficulty and slowness. Each movement was accompanied by a slight friction sound, as if reminding people of its existence.
