QWAPMP Chapter 8
by VolareChapter Eight Werewolf Male Supporting Character
Yan Ye returned to the Castle again today. Anna hadn’t returned yet from chasing the tall man. The Count, using his daughter’s birthday as a reason, sent an Invitation card.
This time, the Count’s daughter personally came to visit. Yan Ye politely invited her into the Castle to sit.
After the Count’s daughter curtsied to him, she looked up at him, her eyes full of adoration. It was difficult for Yan Ye to pretend he didn’t see it.
In vampire etiquette, at this moment, Yan Ye should perform a hand-kissing gesture on her.
While the Count’s daughter was full of anticipation, Yan Ye slightly nodded and called the servant behind him to come forward and escort this guest inside to sit.
Elina’s hand was already extended in mid-air, just waiting for the handsome Prince in front of her to kiss the back of her hand. Hearing the Prince instruct the servant to receive her, her face showed much embarrassment.
The servant walked over. Elina composed herself, opened her beautiful and exquisite small fan, nodded pretending to be reserved, and walked with elegant lady-like steps, as if deliberately showing off to someone.
Unfortunately, when she turned around and walked inside with the servant, Yan Ye was already facing away from her and walking in another direction.
Elina finished drinking two cups of rose black tea. As the servant poured her a third cup, she finally couldn’t help but ask, “Where is your Prince?” Why hasn’t he come yet?
The servant stopped pouring tea. “The King has gone out!” Their King only returns to the Castle and stays for a while during the day.
Elina became restless. “Gone out? Where did he go?”
She asked this question eagerly, and her lady-like image from just now was gone.
The servant honestly shook his head. They were just the staff taking care of the Castle; how would they dare ask about the King’s whereabouts?
Elina stomped her foot in annoyance. The Prince wasn’t here, so there was no use in her staying.
“Miss Elina, aren’t you drinking your tea?” Seeing the guest about to leave, the servant hastily asked.
“I’m not drinking it.” Elina replied without looking back. Who would want to drink that awful tea?
Drinking tea was worse than going home to drink blood.
Right, there was something else she almost forgot.
Elina had just left the Castle when she remembered why she had come here.
She took out a scented Invitation card from a small, exquisite bag and gave it to the servant. “When your King returns, give this to him.”
The only Prince of the vampires who could still awaken, Elina said she would do anything to pursue him and taste the blood of a powerful individual.
Her father adult had said that if ordinary vampires could taste the blood of these Princes, their own bloodline would be elevated by another level.
Elina’s mother was human, and her blood wasn’t as pure as other vampires.
…Meanwhile, Song Xiao was ready for a desperate fight. Just as he was about to reveal his sharp fangs, a figure suddenly burst into his line of sight.
Song Xiao thought he had seen incorrectly and his gaze froze slightly. Several werewolves followed his gaze and only then discovered the vampire who had accidentally intruded.
“It’s a vampire,” one of the less daring werewolves said in annoyance. His human fingers transformed into wolf claws, already assuming an attacking posture.
The other three werewolves also became alert, but when they saw the vampire’s unconscious state, they reacted and sneered, “So it’s a human who just turned into a vampire.”
Upon hearing this, the other three relaxed their guard. “Fourth brother, get rid of this annoying vampire.”
The werewolf called Fourth brother raised his wrist, twisted it contemptuously, and let out a strange laugh from his throat. “Stinky brat, go to hell.”
“Chen Ran, run!” Song Xiao shouted through gritted teeth. As he tried to go up and save Chen Ran, a wolf claw ripped through his clothes and even his belly.
The smell of blood in the air gradually rushed into his nostrils, instantly invigorating the vampire who was originally unconscious and staggering.
Blood… he craved blood, he was so hungry!
Chen Ran’s eyes were crimson red, saliva secreted from his mouth. He grabbed the werewolf’s arm with one hand, pulled hard, and flung the werewolf away.
“Fourth brother.” The third werewolf said in shock and anger. When Chen Ran lunged towards them, they all jumped back in surprise, dodging to the side.
“What’s wrong with this vampire?” The second werewolf asked the third brother next to him. The finger that had just scratched Song Xiao was still dripping blood.
The third brother didn’t have time to answer his question when his pupils constricted. “Second brother, be careful.”
The blood on the second werewolf’s finger stimulated Chen Ran. The finger hanging by his side was pierced by Chen Ran’s fangs, and a piece was bitten off.
“Ah ah ah…” The werewolf’s painful howl rang out.
The other three werewolves stared at the bloodstain on Chen Ran’s teeth and retreated with lingering fear.
“Second brother, stop yelling.” If you keep yelling, you’ll attract the nearby hunters.
Just as he thought this, he heard the sound of well-trained running.
Werewolves and vampires were most familiar with this sound.
Guessing that the hunters were coming, the werewolf leader signaled the others with his eyes. “The hunters are here, let’s go first.”
Swish, swish, swish, the four quickly disappeared, leaving behind only a severely injured, unconscious vampire.
Perhaps having tasted blood, the crimson red in Chen Ran’s eyes was slowly fading.
This was not a place to stay long. Song Xiao gritted his teeth, slowly approached Chen Ran, and when the other party turned around, he delivered a hand chop to his neck.
Reaching out to catch the falling Chen Ran, Song Xiao took him and disappeared from the spot before the hunters arrived.
As night fell, there was a series of wails and howls on the Slums hill. A fleeing shadow appeared before several werewolves with heavy expressions.
The vampire in front of them was severely injured, his expression terrified, as if fleeing for his life.
The tall man saw several werewolves and originally wanted to ask them for help. Who knew that when one of the heavily blood-scented werewolves saw them, his eyes burst with hatred.
The second werewolf had just had a finger bitten off by a vampire. He was inwardly wishing he could cut that vampire into ten thousand pieces. Now was perfect; a half-dead vampire had arrived, just right for him to vent his anger.
The cold night wind swept across the hill, leaving behind only a mournful wail.
Biting off five of this vampire’s fingers, the second brother still felt unsatisfied and wanted to continue tormenting the dying vampire on the ground.
Seeing moving firelight at the foot of the mountain, the third brother frowned, walked to the second brother’s side, and patted his shoulder. “Alright, he doesn’t look like he’ll survive anyway. Let’s go quickly, the hunters are coming this way to search.”
“Hmph.” The second brother kicked the vampire on the ground hard. He also saw the firelight when he looked up and left with the other werewolves without hesitation.
After they left, the tall man opened his eyes. His mouth and nostrils were full of blood.
He was unwilling to die like this. He had finally become a vampire; he hadn’t even enjoyed life yet, so how could he die?
He was a vampire, a race feared by humans. It was impossible for him to die so easily.
Relying on his willpower, the tall man crawled to the other side of the hill and rolled down into a patch of bushes.
The moon was dark and the wind was high; it wasn’t easy for hunters to find vampires or werewolves, which was why they chose to patrol during the day and tell people to go out less at night.
When Yan Ye returned, he saw Nan Ni and her mother waiting, looking worried.
The Traditional medicine was already brewed. Song Xiao’s figure wasn’t in the kitchen, and Chen Ran’s voice wasn’t in the house.
Yan Ye quietly asked, “Where are Chen Ran and the little brother?”
The male and female leads’ family didn’t know the supporting male character’s name, so they had always called him “little brother”. To avoid revealing his identity, Yan Ye did the same.
Nan Ni shook her head, her tone worried. “Neither of them has returned today.”
Yan Ye turned his head to look at the sky, slightly furrowing his brow. “You stay at home, I’ll go check the place where Chen Ran works.”
He could see the worry for Chen Ran in the eyes of these two women, which was why he suggested going out to look for them.
Nan Ni followed him to the door, wanting to say she would go with him, but then she heard Yan Ye instruct her in a deep voice, “You and Auntie stay at home, don’t go out.”
It was very dangerous outside at night. Yan Ye glanced at Nan Ni’s mother, only hoping to change the outcome of Nan Ni’s mother’s death.
Seeing Nan Ni nod and listen to his words, Yan Ye felt relieved and closed the door.
As soon as he walked onto the street, he could feel several different gazes scrutinizing him.
The large clock in the square rang three times at this moment. This sound seemed to tell people that the night was deep.
Yan Ye slightly raised his head and saw a man in a black robe standing on the large clock.
It was a vampire. This was not strange, because many ghost-like black shadows appeared around him.
Yan Ye wasn’t curious about everything around him. His priority now was to find Chen Ran as quickly as possible.
But when he found the Small Restaurant, the door was tightly closed.
This meant Chen Ran wasn’t here.
Yan Ye lifted his foot and walked in another direction.
As soon as he walked into the ruined building, he ran right into Song Xiao who was returning from outside.
Song Xiao was holding a bag of something that looked like blood in his hand. When he saw Yan Ye, he subconsciously hid the blood behind him first.
“Take it out.” Yan Ye’s gaze darkened, and he had a bad feeling in his heart.
Song Xiao’s lips pulled into a forced smile. “Why are you here?”
Yan Ye didn’t waste words. His figure flickered, and he appeared behind him, snatched the bag of blood from his hand, his gaze cold and frightening. “Where is Chen Ran?”
Although he didn’t understand the male supporting character, after a few days of getting along, Yan Ye also knew that the male supporting character didn’t drink blood. The blood bag in his hand now was very likely for the male lead to drink.
Thinking about the male supporting character discovering that the male lead was a vampire, Yan Ye felt a bit of a headache.
The blood bag was squeezed broken by him, getting his hand full of blood.
Song Xiao’s eyes darkened, and he spoke in a hoarse voice. “He’s inside.”
Yan Ye used a handkerchief to wipe the blood off his hand. He lifted his foot and walked past him when his arm was tightly grabbed. “Did you know about Chen Ran’s identity all along?”
If he didn’t know, this old immortal wouldn’t be as calm as he is now.
Like him, in the instant he saw Chen Ran turn into a vampire, there was nothing but shock in his heart.
Song Xiao had never thought that one day he would be saved by a vampire.
Forced to stop, the two were close again. Yan Ye smelled a sweet and slightly bloody scent, different from the smell of the dead blood in that bag just now. It was sweeter and made people more desirous to eat.
He had smelled this scent on the male supporting character more than once.
Song Xiao waited for a while and received no answer. His voice became angry. “What is your purpose in approaching Chen Ran?”
Yan Ye lowered his eyes to look at the fingers on his arm. Out of the corner of his eye, he glimpsed the blood on his clothes. He raised his hand and pressed on his injured spot.
“Mm… what are you doing?” Song Xiao quickly withdrew his hand, backed up several steps, and covered the abdomen that had been injured by the werewolf during the day.
Yan Ye lowered his head to look at the bloodstain on his finger, feeling a desire to feed on this drop of blood.
He put his finger to his lips and lightly licked it with the tip of his tongue, his eyes dark and unclear.
Song Xiao saw him licking his own blood and felt an instinctive disgust. When he saw his dark and unclear gaze again, a chill ran down his spine.
Although he didn’t know what level of vampire the person in front of him was, he knew that this person was someone he couldn’t provoke.
