    Choosing the Wrong Female Courses

When he returned home, it was still early, so Felix first took a walk around the small garden.

He squatted down and pressed his palm against the earth, releasing his mental power downward to sense the depth of the soil contaminated by the Booke race.

A few minutes later, he stopped. Fortunately, the contaminated layer was not deep. He established a mental barrier to encircle the garden, preventing the pollutants from spreading to the surrounding area.

He then crushed all the Booke race remnants within the soil. After finishing this, he used his wrist to wipe the thin layer of sweat from his brow and heard Ryan calling him from behind.

Turning around, he saw Ryan standing at the window, waving at him. “Master, the Male Academy is asking you to select the courses you wish to study.”

Felix raised his hand in response. He glanced back at the clean soil, satisfied, before leaving the garden and heading to the second floor.

In the bedroom, Ryan was organizing his luggage and holding a few pieces of undergarments. Felix’s ears turned red, and he quickly stepped forward to snatch them away.

“Master?” Ryan tilted his head, his gaze puzzled. “Do you not like these clothes?”

“No,” Felix coughed dryly. “I… I can pack them myself.”

A flash of disapproval crossed Ryan’s eyes, but since Felix insisted, Ryan had no choice but to step aside and watch the Male pack his luggage efficiently.

There were only a few changes of clothes and some toiletries. Ryan thought to himself, “As expected,” and sighed inwardly. Forget it, as long as his Master was happy.

He transferred the information from his light computer to Felix and said, “Master, these are the courses from the Male Academy. Is there anything you like?”

Felix received the file and asked casually, “How come I didn’t receive the message?”

Ryan didn’t seem to want to answer the question, but he couldn’t ignore it either. After a moment of thought, he said, “The Academy’s messages are numerous and disorganized. It is better for me to organize them before relaying them to you.”

    Felix: “…”

He could guess the reason without being told. It was almost certainly because the previous Felix had found the notifications too noisy and blocked the Academy, forcing them to adopt a strategy of relaying messages through the Females.

After all, if a Male didn’t read a message, they wouldn’t dare punish him. But if a Female failed to deliver the message, they wouldn’t show any mercy.

Felix let out a cold snort. He felt strangely well-acquainted with the Zerg world, as if he were supposed to know these things.

This faint sense of eeriness often lingered in his heart. Felix thought about it for a long time but couldn’t figure it out, so he simply set it aside for now and stopped troubling himself.

He looked down at the courses. Aside from the mandatory Mental Power Control and Mental Power Soothing, the remaining courses could be chosen based on personal preference.

The Male courses seemed dull and uninteresting to him, but a few looked decent.

He checked the boxes for Plant Cultivation and Breeding, Gourmet Cooking, and Physical Training, then clicked confirm. The system lagged for a moment before four large words popped up: Selection Successful.

Felix didn’t give it another thought, unaware of the massive stir his choices had caused at the Male Academy.

“Dean Lin!” Aria glared at the Dean of the Male Academy, her face full of anger. “Today is the day for the Males to select their courses. How could you authorize a system upgrade without permission?!”

Dean Lin bowed and scraped, looking full of self-reproach. “President Aria, the Male Academy’s system is always upgraded alongside the main academy system. Today’s malfunction was truly an accident.”

Aria’s chest heaved violently as she rubbed her temples in a headache. “How is the course selection going? Have we retracted the student cards for this year’s Males?”

Dean Lin quickly signaled the teaching secretary with his eyes, but the secretary hesitated, making alarm bells ring in the Dean’s heart.

“What is it?!” Dean Lin grew anxious and simply pushed the secretary aside to look for himself.

One look was all it took for Dean Lin’s face to turn pale. It was no wonder the secretary didn’t dare speak; even he began to stutter, not daring to meet Aria’s eyes.

Aria sensed something was wrong. She pushed Dean Lin aside, and the moment she saw the Male course selection list, she gasped.

“Which idiot opened the Female courses to the Males?!”

There, in the Physical Training project that belonged exclusively to Females, appeared a single Male—Felix.

“Felix…” Dean Lin’s lips trembled, fear appearing in his eyes. “This is… Ryan’s Master.”

Ryan had been his most prized student. After graduation, Dean Lin had recommended him to the First Legion, where he rose all the way to Major General with a limitless future.

Who would have thought he would be sentenced for attacking a Male and then matched to a B-grade Male… Oh, he was A-grade now, but that didn’t change the fact that this Male had cruelly cut off the Military Female’s most important wings.

At the thought that Ryan could never return to the battlefield and might spend his entire life trapped in a Male’s cage, Dean Lin’s heart ached so much he could hardly breathe.

And now, the one affected by the glitch happened to be Ryan’s Male, the one known for having the most violent temperament. He wasn’t afraid of the Male blaming the school; he was afraid the Male would vent all his rage on Ryan.

“President Aria, what happened?” A gentle, slightly detached voice sounded, instantly drawing everyone’s attention.

“Lord Alec,” Dean Lin said with a guilty expression. “During the Male course selection today, a system upgrade caused a malfunction, and we accidentally sent the Female course list to a Male lord…”

“Which Male?” Alec asked without the slightest hint of impatience. “Is it convenient to show me the list?”

“Of course, of course.” Dean Lin hurriedly sent the list to Alec. Alec scanned the names quickly. When he saw the Male who looked completely out of place in the Female class, his eyes paused, looking thoughtful.

“So it is Lord Felix,” Alec said, putting away the list and offering a reassuring smile. “Dean Lin, there is no need to worry. I will personally go and explain the situation to Lord Felix.”

The heavy weight in Dean Lin’s heart was halfway lifted, but then he thought of Ryan staying by Felix’s side and sighed silently.

“Then I must thank Lord Alec first,” Dean Lin said, his gaze toward Alec softening. “It’s just… I wonder if Lord Alec could look after my disappointing student, Ryan, for me?”

As soon as these words were spoken, the expressions of those present varied. Some felt pity, while others felt he was being overly sentimental. Aria was among the latter.

She grabbed Dean Lin’s sleeve with such force that his body swayed. “Why are you saying these things to Lord Alec? It’s not as if Lord Felix would beat Ryan for no reason.”

Lord Felix had personally taken Ryan to the Male Protection Association to change his status to Female Monarch, and he had even fought with Lord Anka Lucas because of him.

She didn’t know what kind of spell that boy had cast on the Male to make Lord Felix so infatuated that his bad temper had vanished.

Those unaware of the details looked on with complex expressions, and Dean Lin’s face was full of pain. Males were becoming increasingly arrogant and didn’t treat Females as living beings. Ryan had already suffered so much, yet he could only watch helplessly…

“Alright,” Alec interrupted Dean Lin’s painful memories, agreeing immediately. “I will help persuade Lord Felix.”

Dean Lin breathed a long sigh of relief. He received a file sent to him by Alec, and upon opening it, he was stunned.

“Lord Alec, you mean… this year’s Mental Power Soothing and Mental Power Control classes will all be handled by you?”

“Yes,” Alec nodded. “I have already spoken with Teacher Vane. Teacher Vane has gone to the plantation this year and is truly no longer suited for teaching.”

Dean Lin opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing, carefully signing his name in the corner.

The document already bore the signatures and seals of Aria and the Male Protection Association. His signature was merely a formality. He rarely managed the Male Academy’s affairs anyway. Regarding such matters, Dean Lin wisely chose not to ask too many questions.

Using the information provided by the Male Protection Association, Alec found Felix and Ryan’s home. When he arrived, Felix was leading Ryan in working the land.

Ryan was holding seeds, watching his Master personally till the soil without complaint. He felt restless, fearing for his life.

One must know that even in a Production Base, a Male never had to farm personally. Such hard labor was naturally the responsibility of Females; a Male only needed to remove the impurities within the soil.

But seeing his Master looking so happy, Ryan’s hand, which had reached out to stop him, froze in mid-air.

If his Master truly enjoyed farming, wouldn’t interrupting him make him unhappy?

Alec had just stopped at the gate of Felix’s house when he saw the Male who had treated him coldly earlier that day swinging a hoe with a look of satisfaction. Behind him, Ryan was reaching out with a conflicted expression, only to pull back repeatedly.

Alec: “…” As he expected, there was something very wrong with this Male.

He straightened his collar, pressed the doorbell, and then stepped back a few paces so that Ryan and Felix in the yard could see him.

Felix stood up and frowned instinctively upon seeing the Male, but he relaxed a moment later. He put down the hoe, stopped Ryan from rushing to open the gate, and stepped over the fence to look at Alec.

“Lord Alec?” Felix sized him up subtly. “Is there something you need?”

Alec maintained his smile, glanced into the yard, and asked, “May I come in?”

The two stood in a stalemate. Ryan ran over somewhat anxiously, looking at Alec and then at Felix. “Master?”

Felix gave a grunt of acknowledgement, took a step back, and opened the gate to let Alec in.

The moment he entered, Alec noticed Felix casting a quick glance at his hands. Although Felix retracted his gaze quickly, Alec still caught a trace of mockery and dissatisfaction in his emotions.

He followed behind Felix, raising his hands to look them over, unable to understand what Felix had been looking at.

Felix went straight to the bathroom to wash his hands. His hands were covered in mud, making it inconvenient to see a guest. He didn’t know if it was an illusion, but Alec had a gut feeling that this person was definitely cursing him in his heart.

Ryan brewed a pot of Yellow Spirit Tea, placing exquisite small teacups in front of Alec and Felix’s seats before standing quietly to the side.

Alec glanced at him, wanting to say something, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw Felix’s figure and ultimately remained silent.

As soon as Felix came over and saw Ryan standing by the sofa, he pulled him down to sit without a word. He pushed the teacup in front of him toward Ryan and poured another for himself.

Ryan shifted uncomfortably, noticing the smile on Alec’s face. His ears turned red as he sat stiffly and quietly beside Felix.

“Lord Felix is quite different from other Males,” Alec said with a smile, leaning back against the sofa as if speaking casually. “To be honest, I also look down on Males who rely on suppressing Females to show off their status.”
