On How The Male Scum Attack Can Rectify The Zerg Race Chapter 13
byFarming
Fortunately, the rooms at the Male Academy were well soundproofed. No matter how Adam wailed and howled next door, Felix remained completely unaware.
While Adam was worrying about whether Felix would retaliate against him, Felix was in the kitchen with his dear Female Monarch, tasting delicious small buns.
How is it? Felix tore a croissant in half, handing one piece to Ryan and stuffing the other into his own mouth, his cheeks bulging. Is it sweet?
He didn’t like sweets, so he hadn’t added much sugar.
Ryan took a cautious bite. The crust was crispy, the inside soft and warm. The aroma of butter exploded in his mouth, carrying a hint of sweetness that wasn’t cloying.
His eyes lit up, and his chewing speed increased. It’s delicious!
Felix breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. It seemed the Zerg’s tastes were quite similar to his own; he wouldn’t have to spend extra effort creating modified flavors.
After the two Males spent the afternoon busy in the kitchen, they had naturally produced quite a lot of bread. Ryan helped sort and store the bread before looking at the butter on the table.
Lord, did you buy this? He picked up the small block of butter and sniffed it gently. The smell is a bit strange.
Found it in the cupboard, Felix replied casually. What’s wrong?
Ryan was silent for a few seconds before putting the butter back in the drawer and shaking his head. It’s nothing.
When did the Male Academy start providing ingredients in the dorms? Could it be that when the previous batch of Male students left, their Female Monarchs forgot to pack them?
Next door, Alec drank two cups of tea in a row to wash down the cloying sweetness in his throat.
Crossing his legs and leaning back relaxedly on the sofa, he looked at Adam’s pure and innocent expression across from him and was momentarily speechless.
Aside from these breads, you didn’t find out anything else?
Adam shifted his gaze guiltily. It’s not that… he’s just too vigilant.
What about the ingredients in the kitchen? He didn’t suspect anything?
No, Adam shook his head. He probably thought they were standard issue from the Academy.
The yeast and butter were brought from the Production Base; the impurities weren’t removed very cleanly. Alec’s gaze lingered on the pile of bread on the table for a second, his voice meaningful. He must have processed them.
Right! A memory flashed through Adam’s mind. He slapped his thigh hard, then hissed in pain. Ignoring the urge to act spoiled toward his Female, he said hurriedly, The flour was also specially processed by him!
The flour Felix used was clearly prepared by Ryan, the kind specifically sold to Males at the Production Base.
After all, the bodies of Males were more precious and fragile. Conversely, Females were less sensitive to pollutants. Therefore, the Production Base would hire Males to eliminate impurities from the ingredients before selling them to other Males with peace of mind.
Even so, given the abilities of those Males, the impurities in the ingredients couldn’t be completely removed.
The bread doesn’t have a bitter taste, Alec said. Even though you added a lot of sugar, you should know that sugar cannot mask the bitterness of impurities.
Adam naturally knew this. He froze for a few seconds, then suddenly grabbed a piece of bread and stuffed it into his mouth. After chewing, he swallowed it impatiently and met Alec’s gaze. There really is no bitter taste.
Standing to the side, Landon heard this and said hesitantly, Lord, Lord Alec, I asked Ryan. His wings were indeed removed by Lord Felix.
Adam’s expression changed drastically. What?!
He had been well-protected by his family. Usually, he was either in a private room at the Production Base or huddled at home. He was practically ignorant of the outside world.
Suddenly hearing that a Female’s wings had been removed filled him with horror. His gaze toward Alec became somewhat resistant. Alec, let’s not get close to him anymore. He… he’s definitely not the Felix we know.
Seeing Alec’s slightly gloomy face, he waved his hands hurriedly. Forget it, forget it. You should just test him yourself from now on.
Alec glanced at him indifferently. He’s already targeted you.
Adam’s neck felt numb. Wh-what? You’re making it sound so scary.
Adam, this matter is very important, Alec said with a heavy gaze. And only you can do it.
Adam waved his hand, wanting to refuse, but Alec didn’t give him the chance. Also, Landon is Ryan’s former superior. If necessary, it’s feasible to start with Ryan.
Before Adam could respond, Alec checked his light computer and stood up to leave. I have things to do. Classes officially start tomorrow. Get some rest.
Alec came quietly and left briskly, leaving Adam alone to slump despondently against Landon’s chest. He muttered gloomily, Is it really okay to start with Ryan?
Why did he feel this suggestion was so unreliable?
Landon thought for a moment and shook his head. I don’t recommend the Lord do that. If someone used me to threaten you, what would you do?
Adam looked up suddenly, his eyes clearer than ever. I’d kill him!
After saying that, Adam became even more depressed and buried his head in Landon’s arms. Alec is screwing me over again!
Landon smiled without a word.
To make the bread’s texture richer, Felix decided to plant some berries in the small garden. It just so happened that the seeds Adam sent included blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. Felix decided to start working on the garden before classes began.
The first step in working on the garden was to turn it into a vegetable patch. This step required pulling out the existing plants. Ryan firmly refused to allow his Lord to do it himself.
Those plants were covered in dense little thorns. It wouldn’t be good if they injured the fragile Male.
Felix had no choice but to sit at the entrance of the garden with his light computer. He kept Ryan company while searching for how to plant blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries.
The three plants had different temperature requirements. Furthermore, growing raspberries from seeds would take several years to bear fruit. Felix regretfully put the raspberry seeds away, planning to plant them back at home.
He ordered two more automatic temperature-controlled rooms. Felix went to the kitchen to germinate the blueberry and strawberry seeds. Ryan watched his every move vigilantly in the garden, fearing that this drastically changed Lord might suddenly have another whim and do something dangerous.
Fortunately, Felix was just messing with seeds in a dish. Ryan breathed a long sigh of relief.
Felix put a shallow layer of water in the dish and placed a cloth over it. After spreading the seeds, he covered them with another layer of cloth and placed them in a well-lit spot.
Just as he finished, the doorbell rang. Felix got up to open the door, but a figure dashed past him even faster.
Ryan had run to the door the moment the bell rang. He vigilantly asked for the visitor’s identity. Upon receiving a reply from the courier, he turned to Felix for confirmation.
Felix stood by the sofa and nodded. I bought it.
Only then did Ryan open the door. His tall frame blocked the entrance, ensuring the Female courier outside couldn’t catch a glimpse of even a single strand of Felix’s hair.
The courier regretfully withdrew his gaze and left dejectedly under Ryan’s unfriendly stare.
Lord, Ryan said, carrying a massive box. He nudged the door shut with his knee. Carrying the box to Felix’s side, he said, Let me open it for you.
Felix didn’t refuse. Perhaps it was the nature of a Female, or perhaps it was due to societal conditioning, but Ryan liked to do everything for him personally.
He didn’t dislike this feeling; in fact, he quite enjoyed it.
In his past life, he was an orphan. Later, he entered the military academy and rose all the way to Admiral. Until his death, he never had someone close to him.
He hadn’t expected to have a partner in this life. Felix’s curiosity and possessiveness toward Ryan briefly took the lead. When his gaze fell on the Female’s back, a strong desire to make money suddenly surged in his heart.
He hadn’t forgotten that the scars on the Female’s back required high-grade repair fluid and Holy Light Stones.
He needed money—lots and lots of money.
Sensing the gaze on his back, Ryan turned around in confusion. Lord?
Felix snapped back to reality. Hmm?
Ryan felt that Felix’s gaze was a bit off, but he couldn’t put his finger on exactly how. After hesitating, he asked, Are you dissatisfied?
What? Felix didn’t follow his train of thought. Dissatisfied with what?
Ryan had thought the Lord was unhappy with the purchase, but being questioned back by Felix, he became uncertain.
Fortunately, Felix’s mind worked quickly. His gaze swept over Ryan’s conflicted face, then followed his look toward the box on the floor. Realizing what was happening, he shook his head. No.
Ryan breathed a sigh of relief, but then he remembered Felix’s gaze from just now. His brow furrowed into two small bumps as he fell into conflict again.
So, what was the Lord thinking about just now?
Could it be that the bad Lord was coming back?!
This thought broke Ryan out in a cold sweat. He didn’t dare look at Felix again, fearing he might discover some definitive information.
He would rather deceive himself in this muddled way; he didn’t want to return to the side of the bad Lord.
Felix was entirely unaware of the conflict and panic in Ryan’s heart. Seeing him standing still, Felix thought he was just tired from tending the garden and thoughtfully told him to go rest.
Ryan was restless. Hearing the Lord’s words, he subconsciously interpreted them as an order and walked toward the bedroom in a daze.
The Male dorms had two bedrooms. Although the rules stated that each Male could only bring a Female Monarch or one Female Attendant to the academy, not all Males followed the rules.
Thus, there were two small rooms in the corners. Felix had mistaken them for storage rooms and had tossed the giant suitcase directly into the smaller bedroom.
Thinking of the suitcase, Felix recalled its obviously unusual weight. After placing the automatic temperature-controlled rooms in the small garden, he retrieved the suitcase from the storage room and dragged it to the living room to open it. The moment he saw what was inside, his eyebrows shot up in surprise.
Ryan had practically packed his entire mattress and stuffed it inside.
Inside the suitcase, everything was there—from the bedside lamp the Male used most often to the pillow he had once casually mentioned was the most comfortable.
Conversely, he didn’t see a single item belonging to Ryan.
Felix then remembered the backpack Ryan was wearing on the day school started. He suddenly understood that the backpack was Ryan’s only luggage.
Dragging the suitcase back to the bedroom, Felix glanced at the familiar items on the bed, then looked down at the suitcase. He was incredibly impressed by the Female.
No wonder he hadn’t felt any discomfort after moving; he had thought it was because of his strong adaptability, but it turned out the Female had made double preparations.
The layout in the bedroom was very similar to home, and the items in the suitcase looked brand new, as if the Female had bought a full set of spares based on his habits.
Felix was moved to tears. He became even more determined to save money to treat Ryan’s wings.
