Lin Xi: I can’t make it back for lunch, eat by yourself first.
Pei: Okay.
The midday sun was still strong, making it hard to open your eyes. Lin Xi stood under a makeshift tent, and Qi Yile was bringing the takeout over and placing it on the table.
“Why are you glued to your phone all day? Who are you texting?” Qi Yile asked, noticing Lin Xi smiling foolishly at his phone, leaning closer.
Lin Xi immediately retracted his phone, “No, I only use my phone when I’m on break.”
Qi Yile took all the food out of the takeout and handed out portions to each of the staff members. Lin Xi held his box and ate happily.
The photography teacher scarfed down his food and watched the footage just shot.
He asked Lin Xi, “Teacher Lin, have you recently… gotten a little rounder?”
Lin Xi’s pupils shook, and Qi Yile also put down his food. The two of them huddled together in front of the computer screen. The beauty filters on their phones usually made it not too obvious.
But gaining twenty pounds on camera was no joke.
