MFIMM Chapter 14
by VolareClothes Thief
Lin Xi’s gaze landed on the balcony, where a row of Pei Jiashu’s clothes were hanging, freshly washed.
The desire for pheromones had surpassed his resentment towards Pei Jiashu. Supporting himself on the sofa, he made his way to the balcony and gently pinched a corner of a piece of clothing. It smelled of pleasant laundry detergent, but the scent of pheromones was too faint.
Lin Xi buried his face in Pei Jiashu’s clothes, the scent of laundry detergent permeating every one of his olfactory cells.
Like an addict, he searched for that faint hint of mint within the laundry detergent.
The back of his neck was already stinging. He tore off the pheromone patch, and a burning sensation spread from his neck all the way to his body. He whimpered and stumbled upstairs, entering Pei Jiashu’s room once again.
Lin Xi cautiously opened Pei Jiashu’s wardrobe, the clothes inside arranged neatly by color and top and bottom.
He leaned half his body into the wardrobe, smelling each piece of clothing. Some of the clothes Pei Jiashu had never even worn, and they had no scent on them at all.
But some of the clothes still had a hint of pheromone scent.
Feeling like a thief, Lin Xi took down one of the pieces. He leaned against the wardrobe, clutching the piece of clothing in his hand, gradually sliding down from the wardrobe and squatting on the ground, burying his face in the clothing.
The scent of mint enveloped him, gradually soothing his nerves. The constantly stinging glands on the back of his neck were gradually smoothed by the pheromones, and the burning sensation on his body gradually subsided.
A phone ring interrupted Lin Xi’s actions. He had set an alarm for 6:55, afraid of being caught by Pei Jiashu like last time.
Clutching the piece of clothing in his hand, it became a little wrinkled.
Lin Xi hesitated. If he secretly took the clothes, Pei Jiashu probably wouldn’t notice, right? After all, he had so many clothes. Seeing the time on his phone getting closer and closer to seven o’clock, Lin Xi reluctantly hung the clothes back in the wardrobe.
He closed the wardrobe door as if he had never entered the room.
This time, Pei Jiashu didn’t notice, and Lin Xi breathed a sigh of relief.
Although he now had to clock in for work at nine, his trajectory was completely different from Pei Jiashu’s. If they didn’t live together, it would be hard to imagine that the two of them would have any interaction.
At the company, Lin Xi not only learned from the photographers, but also from the post-production staff. In just one month at the company, he learned more than he had in school.
But because he came into contact with more and more people on a daily basis, his allergic symptoms became more and more severe.
At first, he just secretly sneaked into Pei Jiashu’s room, smelled his clothes, and then stuffed them all into a corner.
But later, he couldn’t help but take one of Pei Jiashu’s clothes.
He stole the piece of clothing and quickly ran back to his room. His heart was pounding like a drum, and his face was flushed, gradually overshadowing the dense pain in his body.
He stuffed the piece of clothing into his quilt, praying that Pei Jiashu wouldn’t notice.
Fortunately, Pei Jiashu had a lot of clothes. The one he took was just a piece of clothing that Pei Jiashu didn’t wear often but was stained with his pheromones. Pei Jiashu didn’t seem to notice.
Lin Xi hugged the piece of clothing at night, his nostrils filled with the scent of mint, and fell asleep peacefully.
But the pheromone scent on that piece of clothing was very faint. Lin Xi used his best efforts to make the pheromones last longer, but it only lasted for three days before he couldn’t smell it anymore.
Lin Xi touched his glands, wondering if he should steal another one.
In the end, he couldn’t resist the temptation of pheromones, so he washed and dried this piece of clothing in his room, and then secretly went to Pei Jiashu’s room to exchange it for another one.
He was now familiar with going to Pei Jiashu’s room. He didn’t even feel guilty when stealing clothes, and he quickly destroyed the evidence within a minute.
This evening, when Pei Jiashu was changing clothes, he suddenly noticed that a piece of clothing that had disappeared for a few days had returned as it was.
He took out the piece of clothing and began to question his memory.
So he took out all the clothes in the wardrobe and arranged them all on the bed according to his habits. Although he didn’t wear some of the clothes, he put them in according to the quantity.
After this sorting, he found that a shirt was also missing.
The housekeeper came once a week to clean, but Pei Jiashu never allowed them to go upstairs. Could it be that the clothes had disappeared out of thin air?
But how to explain this piece of clothing that disappeared and reappeared?
Besides him, there was only one living thing in this house, so suspicion naturally shifted to the other person.
Pei Jiashu sent a message to Assistant Song asking the personnel department for a copy of the company’s attendance sheet. Assistant Song was surprised. He knew that Lin Xi was always leaving early, but after all, Lin Xi didn’t need to work on a fixed schedule, so he turned a blind eye.
He didn’t know where Pei Jiashu got the interest to see the attendance sheet.
Assistant Song mourned for Lin Xi for a second, but still sent the attendance sheet to Pei Jiashu.
Pei Jiashu saw on the sheet that Lin Xi always left work half an hour early, so he had plenty of time to commit the crime.
He stroked his chin, lost in thought.
The next day, Pei Jiashu left work forty-five minutes early and returned home, planning to wait for the rabbit to come out of its burrow.
He sat on the bed in the room, looking at the quartz watch in his hand, staring at the doorway.
Fifteen minutes later, Lin Xi returned home, but he didn’t go upstairs.
Thirty minutes later, Lin Xi was still active downstairs, not going upstairs.
Forty-five minutes later, Lin Xi was still downstairs.
Pei Jiashu finally got up from the bed. Could it be that he had guessed wrong?
Meanwhile, Lin Xi, who was downstairs, was in his room, lying on the bed, hugging a doll. The doll was wearing the piece of clothing that Pei Jiashu had lost.
He took a deep sniff of the clothing. The mint scent was already very faint.
Because of his allergies, he quickly fell asleep under the comfort of the alpha pheromones, not even knowing when Pei Jiashu had returned.
He was hungry and walked out of the room, only to find Pei Jiashu working in the living room with a computer.
Pei Jiashu usually stayed upstairs, so Lin Xi couldn’t help but take another look.
Pei Jiashu’s eyes also scanned Lin Xi up and down. Lin Xi’s hair was a little messy, and a few stiff strands were sticking up on top of his head, showing that he had just woken up.
The quarrel a month ago had been forcibly resolved by Pei Jiashu with work attendance, but the relationship between the two was now like a newly frozen lake. No matter who stepped on it first, the ice would immediately break, and both of them would sink into the cold lake water.
Pei Jiashu looked at Lin Xi, hesitating to speak, afraid of making a false move, and also afraid that it wasn’t Lin Xi. Otherwise, with Lin Xi’s temper, he would probably fight him.
An excellent hunter must have the patience to hunt.
He hid his fangs, paying attention to Lin Xi’s every move.
Lin Xi was a little restrained in Pei Jiashu’s presence, especially since Pei Jiashu’s clothes were still in his quilt.
He rarely behaved cautiously in front of Pei Jiashu. Whether eating or watching TV, he was quiet and well-behaved. As soon as he finished eating, he quickly cleaned up and hid back in his room.
Pei Jiashu watched Lin Xi’s flustered back, almost confirming that the clothes thief was Lin Xi.
The next day, he still left work forty minutes early, but he still didn’t catch him today.
On the third day, Assistant Song looked at him with a troubled expression. “Boss, you’ve been leaving early for three days in a row. As the boss of the company, this is not right…”
“I’m going to catch a thief. I have a feeling it’s today.”
Pei Jiashu’s peach blossom eyes narrowed slightly, and a strong hint of playfulness flashed in his eyes. Assistant Song shivered as he looked at his expression.
Which unlucky guy was caught by their boss.
This time, Pei Jiashu didn’t sit on the bed, but stood behind the curtains. The curtains perfectly concealed his figure, but there were gaps that allowed him to observe the room.
Fifteen minutes later, the door on the first floor was pushed open.
Thirty minutes later, footsteps sounded on the stairs. The footsteps got closer and closer until they stopped at the door. Lin Xi pushed the door open and walked in.
He opened the wardrobe furtively. Today, he should be able to quickly put the clothes back and take out a new piece of clothing, just like before, in just one minute.
Pei Jiashu watched Lin Xi’s figure, licked his canine teeth, and a smile curled up on his lips.
In the gap between Lin Xi changing clothes, he suddenly walked out from behind the curtains. “Let me see which thief is stealing my clothes every day.”
Lin Xi’s pupils shook, and he subconsciously wanted to throw down the clothes and run away, but Pei Jiashu’s movements were faster than his. He took a few steps to the door and pressed down on the doorknob one step ahead of him.
Lin Xi was trapped in his arms, and Pei Jiashu could see Lin Xi trembling slightly.
He pressed the switch on the door down, locking the door. Lin Xi wanted to open the door, but Pei Jiashu held his shoulder and forcibly turned Lin Xi around.
He pinched Lin Xi’s chin, and Lin Xi was forced to look up at him.
“Clothes stealing thief.” Pei Jiashu looked at Lin Xi teasingly. He was actually quite curious as to why Lin Xi wanted to steal his clothes.
Lin Xi didn’t speak, his lips and tongue were trembling.
Pei Jiashu narrowed his eyes, observing Lin Xi. “Are you mute? You’re usually so eloquent, why aren’t you talking now?”
Lin Xi slapped Pei Jiashu’s hand away with a “snap.” “How much do your clothes cost? I’ll pay you for all of them.”
“Oh?” Pei Jiashu touched the back of his hand, which had been slapped red, not angry at all. “So you’re admitting that you stole my clothes?”
Lin Xi bit the flesh on his lower lip with his teeth, only in this way could he maintain his sanity when facing Pei Jiashu.
“Stop talking nonsense. How much money do I owe you?”
“Don’t be like this, I’m just curious as to why you want to steal my clothes?” Pei Jiashu leaned closer to Lin Xi, bending slightly, his face almost touching Lin Xi’s.
Looking at Lin Xi’s forbearing expression, he became interested and teased, “Let me guess, could it be that you still can’t forget me, so you steal my things. Could it be that you’re still doing that kind of thing?”
Lin Xi was already feeling guilty, and he was even more shocked when he heard Pei Jiashu’s words and took a step back. “You’re shameless, who would do that kind of thing.”
Pei Jiashu suddenly straightened up, his eyes looking down lecherously from Lin Xi’s face all the way down. “Oh? What kind of thing?”
“You…” Lin Xi was so angry that he wanted to slap Pei Jiashu, but he was stopped by Pei Jiashu grabbing his hand as soon as he raised it.
The place where he was being held felt like it was being burned, and the person close to him was carrying a pheromone that he couldn’t resist, which infinitely amplified its attraction to Lin Xi at this time.
Pei Jiashu’s relentless pressure finally completely broke Lin Xi’s defense. “It’s all your fault that I’ve become like this.”
